Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Locks December 2024 Release
Produced by Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions in association with Jio Studios, Baby John was originally announced for a May 31, 2024, release but the makers postponed it due to the pending shoot. There were rumours that it might be released in July but the makers have locked December 25, 2024, release date for the same.
Baby John is reportedly an adaptation of Atlee's Tamil film Theri (2016). In the movie, Baby John, a former police officer, fakes his death and goes into hiding to bring up his daughter in a safe environment, but trouble ensues when their life gets threatened by Baby John's past enemies and Baby John must face his past to protect his daughter.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is currently shooting for Dharma Production's romantic comedy, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, scheduled to release on April 18, 2025. The actor will also start shooting for his director father David Dhawan's untitled comic entertainer in mid-July this year and by the end of this year or early 2025, he will start No Entry 2.
