Raquel Rodriguez Opens Up About Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) Battle In A Heartbreaking Video
Last month, WWE Superstar Raquel Rodriguez revealed her diagnosis of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), a debilitating condition characterized by recurring episodes of anaphylaxis-like symptoms.## The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology defines MCAS as "a condition where patients experience repeated episodes of symptoms resembling anaphylaxis, including hives, swelling, low blood pressure, breathing difficulties, and severe diarrhea. These episodes occur due to the excessive release of mast cell mediators."## Due to MCAS, Rodriguez was forced to take a leave of absence from WWE and missed several events. However, she made a triumphant return on RAW this week, winning a Last Chance Battle Royal to secure a spot in the Women's Elimination Chamber Match at this Saturday's Premium Live Event (PLE). This match offers her the opportunity to challenge Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Title at WrestleMania 40.## In the Chamber Match, Rodriguez will face Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Bianca Belair to earn the coveted title shot.## Taking to social media today, Rodriguez bravely shared a glimpse into her struggle with MCAS, showcasing the challenges she faced. ## The journey is far from over. I finally got some answers as to what caused this but it’s going to be a while til I can get it fully under control. I know one thing. I’m blessed to have an amazing support system.
