Mumbai, September 26 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar teamed up with director Sudha Kongara for the first time for a biographical drama film Sarfira, the remake of Kongara's Soorarai Pottru. The movie was released in July of this year but became a box-office disaster. ## Despite the positive reviews, Sarfira grossed approximately 34 crores at the worldwide box office in its lifetime run. The makers are now hoping for a turnaround as they have announced the streaming release of the movie. ## On Thursday (September 26), Akshay Kumar took to social media and announced that Sarfira would start streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on October 11 this year, 90 days after the theatrical release. Mumbai, July 10 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar-fronted Sarfira will reportedly host special fan screenings across 7 Indian cities on July 12, on the day of the film's official release.## Directed by Sudha Kongara, the biographical drama film is the remake of actor Suriya's Tami movie Soorarai Pottru, also directed by Kongara.
