Chennai, March 10 - Tamil star Dhanush and actress Malavika Mohanan are gearing up for the digital release of their upcoming film, "Maaran", directed by Karthick Naren. The action thriller film revolves around an investigative journalist Mathi Maaran (Dhanush), who lends in trouble when he publishes an article that exposes bitter truths about a corrupt politician Pazhani (Samuthirakani). Disney Plus Hotstar, which was the home streamer for the actor's last film "Atrangi Re", co-starring Sara Ali Khan, and Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo, will also be streaming "Maaran", which is slated for March 11. It will start premiering from 5 PM in Tamil along with dubbed Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada versions.

"Maaran" is produced by T. G. Thyagarajan, Sendhil Thyagarajan, and Arjun Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films. It also stars Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, Ramki, Krishnakumar Balasubramanian, and Mahendran in key roles. The movie is "Dhanush's" 3rd consecutive direct OTT release, after "Atrangi Re" on Disney+Hotstar, and "Jagame Thandhiram" on Netflix. Stay tuned...
