Mumbai, July 11 - The horror films have been doing really well at the Indian box office for the last few years, and the latest to join the list is Evil Dead Burn. The sixth instalment in the Evil Dead film series has registered a solid start at the box office, emerging as the biggest Hollywood horror opener of 2026. The film has grossed approximately 4 crore on its opening day in India (including paid previews), nearly double the 2.10 crore debut of Obsession. Evil Dead Burn has also comfortably surpassed the previous franchise instalment, Evil Dead Rise (2023), which opened to around 2.25 crore gross before going on to collect over 37 crore gross during its lifetime run in India.
