Ayushmann Khurran's 'Anek' Tops 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' To Emerge Most-Watched Indian Movie Last Week On Netflix

Mumbai, July 6 - Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's action thriller Anek was the most-watched Indian movie worldwide in the last week on Netflix. The Anubhav Sinha-directed film was made available on Netflix on June 26 after a disappointing box office run. ## "Anek" scored 4.9 million hours watched in the week (June 27 - July 3), and was the second most-watched non-English film worldwide. It was also trending in the top 10 in 14 countries, including number 1 in India and Bangladesh. ## Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continued to remain in the top 10 most-watched non-English films worldwide for the 3rd consecutive week. It scored 3.69 million viewing hours last week and was the second most-watched Indian title and 3rd overall on Netflix. BB2 has overall scored 20.1 million watched hours in 17 days. ## On the other hand, SS Rajamouli's epic box office blockbuster is still grabbing attention on the streamer and remained in the top 10 for the 7th consecutive week. In its 7th week on Netflix, it generated 3.5 million viewing hours, which is higher than its 6th week viewing hours of 2.92 million. Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Anek' Gets A New Release Date With An Intriguing Poster

Mumbai, February 2 - The Bollywood filmmakers continuing to reshuffle the release dates of their film and joining the list is Ayushmann Khurrana's "Anek". The socio-political thriller, which was supposed to release on March 31st, 2022, will now hit screens on May 13 this year. ## Ayushmann reunites with renowned director Anubhav Sinha for this one of its kind films. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha under T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks. Earlier, Ayushmann collaborate with Sinha for "Article 15", which was hailed critically and also did very well at the box office. ## The actor took to Twitter and announced the new release date with an intriguing poster. In the poster, Ayushmann can be seen looking at someone from behind a wall. Ayushmann Reveals What Makes Him Say 'No' To A Project

New Delhi, Jan 3 (IANS) Ayushmann Khurrana has delivered back-to-back hits in his journey in Hindi cinema. The actor has revealed how he picks up his projects and what makes him say 'no' to a script.## Talking to IANS about what makes him decline a project, Ayushmann, who is called the poster boy of content-driven cinema, said: "Anything that is mundane, generic or done-to-death or anything which is regressive is a complete no".## Ayushmann made his acting debut in 2012 with 'Vicky Donor'. Since then, he has been a part of a string of hits such as 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Andhadhun', 'Badhai Ho', 'Article 15', 'Bala', 'Dream Girl' and 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui'.## He says while picking up a film, it's the story he looks at and not the character.## "More than the character I look for the story. The story has to have a novel idea, a concept that is unexplored in Hindi cinema and it should hold the audience for two hours and it should have something to say. Ayushmann Khurrana has recently wrapped up the filming of Anubhav Sinha's "Anek" which was shot extensively in the Northeast. The Bala actor has explored various Indian cultures with his films "Meri Pyaari Bindu", "Bala", "Dum Laga Ke Haisha", which have been set in small towns. ## Amazed by the different cultures, Ayushmann says that he has always been fascinated by the diverse culture of India and adds this love for tradition and customs was inculcated in him as a child.## "I have been fascinated about the cultures and traditions of India since I was a child. My parents ensured that they taught me about how diverse my country is and inculcated the interest to know more and respect the different cultures existing in India", he says to the entertainment portal.## Ayushmann feels Indians are fortunate to experience an incredible diversity of a country that needs to be cherished deeply. "As Indians, we are blessed to soak in so many cultures and experience so much richness of diversity", he adds. ## Apart from Anek, the 36-year old will be seen in the romantic drama film "Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui", directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
