YRF Unveils First Look Poster And Release Date of Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar's 'The Great Indian Family'

Mumbai, August 14 - Yash Raj Films' long-awaited comedy-drama film "The Great Indian Family", starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar in the leading roles finally has a release date in theaters. ## Directed by "Thugs of Hindostan" fame Vijay Krishna Acharya, "The Great Indian Family" has been in production since 2021, but it was delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic as well as some other reasons.## Now, the movie has been confirmed to hit cinemas worldwide on September 22, 2023, two weeks after Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan", and a week before Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". The release date was announced through a video featuring Vicky Kaushal.## In the video, Kaushal tells us what "family" means as he compares a family to a melodious classical Indian song. Mumbai, August 3 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's romantic drama "Bawaal" is turning out to be a big success for Amazon Prime Video. The movie starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor is attracting very good viewership despite finding itself in controversy. ## During the week of July 25 to July 30, 2023, "Bawaal" was the number 1 streaming title in India with 7.6 million views, according to Ormax Media, a media consulting firm that tracks viewership data across digital platforms in India. The movie emerged number 1 watched title, beating Bigg Boss OTT season 2 in the last week.## "Bawaal" scored 6.9 million views in its opening weekend (July 21-24). Udhayanidhi Stalin To Star In Tamil Remake Of Article 15

Producer Boney Kapoor has acquired the Tamil remake rights of the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer 2019 superhit movie Article 15. As per the latest update, the Tamil remake of this social crime drama film will be helmed by the director Arunraja Kamaraj. ## The Tamil remake of Article 15 marks the second directorial of lyricist-singer-actor Arunraja Kamaraj. He made his directorial debut in 2018 with sports drama Kanaa. ## Udhayanidhi Stalin who previously worked in movies like Psycho, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, and others will be stepping into the shoes and reprise the lead role played by Ayushmann Khurrana in the original. The film is inspired by true events and deals with Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. It was released on 28 June last year. ## The Tamil remake of Article 15 is Boney Kapoor's third Tamil Production after the hugely successful Nerkonda Paarvai (the remake of Hindi movie Pink), starring Ajith in the lead role. He is also producing "Valimai" which also star Ajith in the lead. It was scheduled to be released by the third week of November 2020 coinciding with Diwali. Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 Will Be Screened In 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival In Shanghai

Ayushmann Khurrana starring Article 15 which is a crime drama film based on Article 15 of the Constitution of India will be screened in The 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) which is scheduled to begin this week from July 25 in Shanghai, China. The movie is based on true events including the 2014 Badaun gang-rape allegations, and the 2016 Una flogging incident. It deals with Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. ## Along with Ayushmann Khurrana, the movie also starred Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Isha Talwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Sayani Gupta in the important roles. Along with co-producing the film with Zee Studios, Anubhav Sinha jointly written the movie with Gaurav Solanki. ## On the business front, the movie received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Vir Das takes cue from 'desi' stand-ups for 'Hasmukh'

Mumbai, April 16 (IANS) Actor-comedian Vir Das says preparing for his starring role in upcoming show "Hasmukh" was the best part of working in the project.## He "consciously watched" a lot of shows by local stand-up comics to get his character in the Netflix show right.## "A lot of my research had started when I was writing the show. But when I began my prep as an actor, I consciously watched a lot of shows by local stand-up comics," Vir said.## "I had finished 'Jestination Unknown' around the same time so by virtue of that I'd learned that humor is rooted in local styles and culture. There is more banter. The stories are intimate. I used all of that in Hasmukh's set. Watching more and more comics nudged me towards finding the right persona for 'Hasmukh'," he added.## Talking about his character, Vir explained: "He is essentially an introvert and his stage person is a lot more open. I chalked out everything that Hasmukh would want to include in his set, figured a delivery style for him and made it entirely different from what he is off stage. The prep was actually the best part of the show for me. I enjoyed it to bits."## "Hasmukh" is about an ambitious comic on a mission to prove to his mentor that he is a good comedian. It shows how every dream comes with a price and Hasmukh (Vir Das) realizes that the only way to "kill it on stage", is if he "kills off stage".## Also featuring Ranvir Shorey, Manoj Pahwa, Amrita Bagchi, Suhail Nayyar, Inaamulhaq and Raza Murad, "Hasmukh" is directed by Nikhil Gonsalves and will release on April 17.
