Mumbai, June 10 - Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has renamed his upcoming film The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter on public demand. The political drama has now been titled as The Bengal Files: Right To Life, which is the third film in Agnihotri's Files trilogy after The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022). ## Taking to social media on Tuesday, Agnihotri shared the new title along with a poster of the film, which examines the horrific communal violence that took place in undivided Bengal during the 1940s. The filmmaker announced that the teaser of the movie will be out on June 5, while the film will hit the big screen on September 5 this year. ## The Bengal Files: Right To Life delves into historical events such as the Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots. Agnihotri has described these incidents as a "Hindu genocide" and expressed his intent to bring to light a largely neglected chapter of Indian history. "This is the truth, and I know it will attract a lot of criticism, but that will not deter me from saying the truth," he said in a recent interview. ## Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and I Am Buddha, the film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar, Govind Namdeo, Mohan Kapur, and Satwant Kaur, among others, in key roles. Mumbai, June 10 - Yash Raj Films' ambitious crossover Tiger vs Pathaan has reportedly been shelved. The spy action thriller was supposed to bring together Indian cinema's two biggest stars, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, for the first time in full-fledged roles since Karan Arjun. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, YRF's head, Aditya Chopra, is reassessing the future of Spy Universe to give it a new direction. It is said that Chopra is concerned about spy universe films becoming formulaic and "veering towards repetition". ## Chopra believes that the franchise needs a revitalised approach to storytelling and presentation, and in this process, the studio has reportedly paused the development of Tiger vs Pathaan, which was supposed to start rolling in late 2026. ## YRF next has Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's War 2, scheduled to hit the big screen on August 14, followed by Alia Bhatt's Alpha in December this year. Mumbai, June 10 - The Hindi film industry has a moment of joy as superstar Akshay Kumar's comedy entertainer Housefull 5 has topped 100 crore net collection in 4 days, becoming the fastest film of the franchise to achieve the feat. ## The Tarun Mansukhani's directorial scored approximately 13 crores net collection on its first Monday, which took its total to around 100.50 crores. It is the second film for Akshay Kumar after Sky Force, and the fifth Bollywood title of 2025 to enter the ₹ 100 crore club. ## Housefull 5 is the 130th film of all time to surpass 100 crore net in the Hindi language. For Akshay Kumar, it is his 18th movie, which ties with Salman Khan's for the joint highest number of films to surpass this milestone. Ajay Devgn is next behind them with 15 movies. ## Meanwhile, the film is approaching 200 crores gross at the worldwide box office after scoring around 160 crores in 4 days. The film is showing a drop of under 50% from Friday's opening day, which is a solid hold despite mixed critics' reviews. ## According to early estimates, the comedy entertainer has scored in the range of 13-15 crores net collection on its first Monday/4th day. This has taken the total collection to past 100 crores net at around 101 in 4 days, emerging as the fastest film of the franchise to enter this prestigious box office club. ## The solid hold in collection today proves the audience has accepted the film, especially the single-screen audience. Mumbai, June 9 - Producer Sajid Nadiadwala's comedy entertainer Housefull 5, starring superstar Akshay Kumar along with others, scored a very good opening weekend at the domestic and worldwide box office with around 140 crores gross collection. ## Housefull 5 hit the big screen on June 6 amid high expectations, and it didn't disappoint at the box office. The movie took one of the biggest openings for a Bollywood title of the year, followed by a solid hold on Saturday and Sunday. ## Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the comic caper has grossed approximately 104.50 crores at the domestic box office, which is the biggest Friday to Sunday opening weekend for an Akshay Kumar-starrer, and overall, the second biggest opening weekend for the actor after Mission Mangal (115 crore gross in 4 days). ## Overseas, Housefull 5 has grossed an estimated 35 crores for the worldwide total of around 140 crores, which is again the biggest 3-day opening global opening weekend for Akki. Mumbai, June 8 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 has a very good opening weekend at the domestic box office after another solid day on Sunday, as collections are in the same range as Saturday, with estimates suggesting collection to be 31-32 crores net. ## Normally, Bollywood film scores jump in collection on Sundays over Saturdays, but in the case of Housefull 5, there was a holiday on Saturday due to Bakrid, which boosted the collection to some extent. Hyderabad, June 8 - Director Gopichand Malineni has reunited with Telugu veteran Nandamuri Balakrishna for a historical epic film, tentatively titled NBK 111. The duo previously collaborated on Veera Simha Reddy, which was released in January 2023 and emerged as a box office hit. ## The announcement of NBK 111 was made on Sunday, June 10, with a poster featuring a lion with a half mask. It will be produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas, the banner currently backing Peddi with superstar Ram Charan. ## While the details about the project are not revealed yet, it is said that it will be a historical action drama. Hyderabad, June 7 - SS Rajamouli's epic and path-breaking blockbuster Baahubali is returning to the big screen, but with a big twist. Baahubali - The Beginning was released in 2015, before the second part, Baahubali - The Conclusion, stormed the box office in 2017. ## Baahubali will be turning a decade old in July this year, and to celebrate this big occasion, producer Shobu Yarlagadda has recently announced its re-release worldwide in October 2025. While the date is not disclosed yet, the film may hit the big screen on or around the birthday of Prabhas, who headlined this epic. ## According to the report by Gulte.com, both parts of Baahubali will be released in a one epic cut, instead of re-releasing separately. Hyderabad, June 6 - Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has officially confirmed to be on board director Atlee's next. The actress joins superstar Allu Arjun in this ambitious sci-fi actioner, to be produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. ## The announcement was made on Saturday with a special video featuring behind-the-scenes footage. In the video, director Atlee is discussing the script with Deepika, followed by a look test of the actress in a studio. It shows Deepika riding a horse with a sword in her hand. ## The video is almost identical in style to the one released for Allu Arjun when the film was announced in April this year. Both the announcement videos show the ambitious plans Atlee has for the movie, and this will escalate the buzz further. ## ## Tentatively titled AA22xA6, the film marks Deepika's second film with Atlee after the mega blockbuster Jawan, in which the actress played an extended role. Chennai, June 7 - Indian cinema legends, actor Kamal Haasan and director Mani Ratnam reunited after 38 years for a gangster action drama film Thug Life, which hit the big screen on June 5. The reunion of the two was expected to script a blockbuster, but things have turned into a nightmare for the duo. ## Thug Life was a keenly awaited film, and it generated some hype with decent to good pre-sales. However, despite the big promises, everything has gone wrong for the film since its release, and it seems that the audience has outrightly rejected it. ## The word of mouth for the movie has been poor from the first show, which resulted in below than the expected opening, followed by a big drop on the second day as the total collection of the movie is around 50 crore gross after 2 days. ## Even though there is a holiday on Saturday and Sunday, the chances of a rebound for the movie are almost out of the equation. The audience reception is poor, as the current Google rating for the movie is under 3 out of 10, while IMDb ratings are below 5, which has made things worse and will continue to do so. ## The Google and IMDb ratings of Thug Life are among the lowest for the film in its opening weekend, and it is going down rapidly. There are chances the movie will likely finish under 100 crore gross collection at the worldwide box office.
