Yash Raj Films Developing A Female-Centric Spy Actioner With Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone

Mumbai, May 4 - Yash Raj Films is reportedly working on a female-led spy action thriller film with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. Both Katrina and Deepika have been an important part of YRF's Spy Universe and now, the studio is planning to make a proper big-budget film, revolving around their characters in this blockbuster universe. ## Katrina has played the role of ISI agent Zoya in the two Salman Khan-fronted "Tiger" movies in YRF's Spy Universe while Deepika was introduced in Shah Rukh Khan-led "Pathaan" in which she played the role of ISI agent Rubai. ## The details regarding the project have been kept under wraps for now. The timeline regarding where the movie will fit in Spy Universe is also not known yet. It is in early development and will take time before going on the floors. ## Meanwhile, the next film in YRF's Spy Universe is Salman Khan-fronted "Tiger 3" which releases this Diwali in multiple languages. The events of "Tiger 3" will lead to Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR-starrer "War 2" which will start filming in November this year. Mumbai, May 3 - After the debacle box office performance of "Vikram Vedha", Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is hoping to turn the tide with Fighter, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, which is currently in production for January 2024 release. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Fighter" is shaping up nicely and is among the most anticipated Indian movies at the moment. The aerial action thriller is being shot on a huge scale on par with Hollywood action films. The plot details have been kept under wraps for now but "Fighter" is already being seen as a huge money spinner for the makers. ## After "Fighter", Hrithik is in no mood to turn his head away from big-scale action entertainers as he has locked action-packed blockbusters for the next few years. Most of the shoot of "Fighter" is already completed and the makers are hoping to wrap it by June. The shoot for "War 2" begins in November this year. ## After "War 2", Hrithik will headline his home production's Krrish 4 which is easily the most-awaited film of him. The movie also has Deepika Padukone as the female lead along with Anil Kapoor in a prominent role.## The shoot of "Fighter" has been going on since last year, and now, the team is heading towards the last leg of filming, including the epic climax scene. Mumbai, April 26 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which took an expected hit in collections yesterday has shown another drop but a better hold today at the box office by registering around 20% fewer collections compared to yesterday. The early estimate collections suggest around 5 crores net on Wednesday. ## The first Wednesday collections will take the total collections of the film to around 88cr net mark and now the 100 crores net in the first week is out of the equation. The film will hit the 100 crore mark on the second Friday or Saturday. It is the hold on the second Friday that will determine the fate of the film at the box office.## The collections and the hold in mass centers are fabulous but at the same time, the multiplexes are recording dull collections. The core Hindi mass belts have seen a good turnout which is a big plus as post-pandemic these audiences were the ones that the Industry has lost and now they are coming back with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. ## The film will be an underperformer at the box office especially because it stars Salman Khan who has a mega box office record since the beginning of the last decade. The word of the mouth of the film has been on the mixed side and that is now coming to the equation. Box Office: Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Gets The First Taste of Negative Reviews

Mumbai, April 26 - After enjoying festive first few days, Salman Khan's family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has got the first taste of negative critics reviews and audiences' word of mouth in its box office collection after it dropped by 40% on the first Tuesday, one of the biggest first Tuesday drops for an A-list star post the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was probably the least hyped Salman Khan film in many years, plus, the pre-Eid release ensured it takes an underwhelming opening of around 13.50 crores net. Not many films scored much after the low start, especially with the negative reviews but it has proved that such things don't apply to Salman and his stardom. ## After an underwhelming start, KKBKKJ jumped by nearly 90% on its second day, Eid for around 25.75 crores net, followed by another jump on Sunday for around 26.60 crores. It managed to score a decent to good opening weekend of around 67 crores, purely because of the huge pull of Salman. ## There was fear that the movie would tank on Monday, however, being a partial holiday in some places, KKBKKJ did well by holding strong for around 10.20 crores net, but the negative reviews were going to hunt it at some point and this happened on the next day, i.e. Tuesday on which it scored just around 6.10 crores, a harsh 39.82% drop from Monday. ## The total net collection of the film after 5 days is 82.15 crores, and one would feel that such box office numbers with poor reviews in the post-pandemic times could become possible only because of Salman Khan's stardom. In current times, when superstardom is becoming irrelevant, KKBKKJ was a litmus test for Salman to show his star power, and he managed to prove it to some extent. ## However, despite all odds, KKBKKJ was destined to cross 100 crores net, a landmark box office figure most of the films have failed to achieve in the post-covid-era.
