Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Set To Create A Box Office Record For Salman Khan

Mumbai, April 25 - Superstar Salman Khan's latest family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is holding well at the box office during the weekdays.## Directed by Farhad Samji, the movie has so far earned around 96 crores net in the first 8 days and heading towards 100 crores net club. KKBKKJ is likely to reach the coveted box office mark by the second Sunday and will become the third Bollywood movie in 2023 to achieve the feat. ## Meanwhile, apart from becoming the 3rd film of 2023 and 106th overall, KKBKKJ will also be the 16th film ever for Salman Khan to enter the 100-crore club. A Film Based On Galwan Valley Clash Is In The Works

Mumbai, April 24 - A film based on the Galwan Valley Clash is officially in development. ## Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has acquired the rights of a chapter from the book, titled "India's Most Fearless 3" for the big screen adaptation. The chapter focuses on the events that took place between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan region in 2020. ## The book, written by journalists Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, narrates the brave story of the Indian Army during the deadly clash with Chinese troops on 15-16 June 2020. During the clash, the Indian Army fought bravely and caused China heavy casualties, but, unfortunately, 20 Indian soldiers also lost their lives.## The story-screenplay will be adapted for the film by Suresh Nair in association with Chintan Gandhi who will also pen the dialogues. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 24 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan who had a decent first weekend at the box office after a sluggish start has passed the Monday test with flying colors. The collections coming across single screens are excellent and in many places, they are better than the first day which was hit by pre-eid. The trend of the film has been good till now. ## The early estimate collections for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on the first Monday suggest around 10-11 crores net. The final number may vary by a little bit on either side. The drop from Friday is around 20-30% which is an excellent hold. The footfalls will be similar to the 1st day as the rates have come down to the normal level from the weekend.## The first Monday collections will take the total collections of the movie to around 75 crores net mark depending on the actual first Monday collections which will be known by tomorrow morning. The smaller centers are driving the film thanks to the extraordinary pull of Salman Khan in mass belts but at the same time, the major multiplexes are not doing that well. The hold on Monday has confirmed that the film will enjoy a good run at the box office, especially in the mass belts of Hindi circuits. ## These numbers are solid for the type of budget the film has but with Salman Khan on board, these numbers look average at best. Mumbai, April 23 - Superstar Salman Khan shows his star power once again at the box office as his latest family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has crossed the 100 crores gross mark worldwide in the opening weekend itself. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ took an underwhelming opening of approx. 13 crores net after the not-so-great reviews from critics and mixed responses from audiences. Just when it looked like that the movie will tank due to a poor opening, the stardom of Salman came to the rescue as the movie witnessed excellent growth on its second day, on Eid. ## KKBKKJ scored approx. 25 crores net on its second day (+92.31%) and is on track to score another 26-27 crores net on Sunday, pushing the total net collection to approx. 65 crores. Mumbai, April 23 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which took an underwhelming opening at the box office had shown huge growth yesterday at the box office by going over 90% compared to the first day, and now the film has seen further growth today by around 10% which is good as Saturday growth was massive and going over that by another 15% is a huge win for the film. Single screens continue to drive the film while standalone multiplexes are also excellent. ## Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is heading towards a big day at the box office as the early estimate collections suggest around 26-27 crores net. This is the highest single day of the film till now as it beats yesterday's number comfortably. There was an outside chance of touching the 30cr mark or even crossing but night shows are likely to see a drop due to the next day being a working day. ## The three-day weekend of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be around 65 crores net mark. The final number may vary by a crore or two. The first-weekend business can be called good, especially after the sort of start the film took on the opening day which suggested a 45-50 crore weekend at best. The film is now in a much better position and if it holds well on Monday then the film will enjoy a good run at the box office. ## The first-weekend business will be seen as the downer as the minimum expectations from Salman Khan starrers are 100cr plus in the first weekend irrespective of the content. Akshay Kumar's 'Hera Pheri 3' Gets Into Legal Trouble

Mumbai, April 23 - Akshay Kumar's highly-anticipated Hera Pheri 3 is not finding it easy to get going as the film continues to be in legal trouble. In fact, the threequel is in trouble ever since its development was officially revealed by the media after years of speculations. ## Earlier this year, it was revealed that the makers have shot a promo featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal as they were planning to make the official announcement soon. However, there was massive criticism when it came to light that Farhad Samji might be directing the film as fans started trending 'Remove Farhad Samji From Hera Pheri' on Twitter. ## Due to the heavy backlash, the official announcement, which was expected to be made in early April, got postponed. That is not the only problem makers have been facing as some days later, T-Series issued a public notice claiming that the production house is the "sole and exclusive right holder of all copyright of all Music and Audio Visual Song Rights" of the franchise in all mediums. ## And now, another legal notice has been served to the makers, this time by Eros International. According to Film Information Magazine (via Bollywood Hungama), Eros has claimed that it holds Intellectual Property Rights as well as the rights to the title, digital rights, and music rights on a 'sole and exclusive basis'. And that's not all. Eros also claimed that it has the exclusive rights to Welcome Back (2015).## The notice further stated that Firoz Nadiadwala's Base Industries Group owes Rs. 60,07,75,236, inclusive of interest, to Eros International as on April 17, 2023. Mumbai, April 22 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is set for huge growth at the box office after an underwhelming opening-day collection which was still the third biggest of this year after Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Salman Khan starrers have easily gone over the 20cr or even 25cr mark in pre eid in similar kinds of films around 7 or 8 years ago and that is the main reason why the opening day number looks way below the mark. ## The film is heading for massive growth of around 80% today, which also happens to be Eid. This sort of growth is huge and has happened for only a few films post-pandemic. The single screens have recorded bumper collections while the multiplexes have also seen excellent numbers. The premium multiplexes are not at the level they should be but still, they are good enough. ## As per the early estimates, KKBKKJ scored around 24-25 cr net on its first Saturday. These are early estimates and the final collections could vary. If the single screens continue to outperform then the business could be on the higher side as well. The stronghold circuits of Salman Khan Rajasthan, Bihar, and Gujarat recorded fantastic collections throughout the day. The growth in a few of the circuits is over 200% or even 300% as those circuits were affected by pre eid on the first day.## The first Saturday collections will take the total collections of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan to around the 38 crores net mark. Now the film is in a much better position compared to yesterday. Tomorrow is Sunday so the film should carry momentum and even 10% growth will be a big plus. The advance for tomorrow is better than today (Saturday) but the late-night shows of tomorrow will be affected due to the next day being a working Monday. Mumbai, April 21 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan the first Superstar film since Pathaan in January has been released, starring Salman Khan. The campaign for the film started with a teaser in January followed by songs and finally the trailer. The film has given a wide release of around 4500 screens in India and 1200 screens in the overseas markets despite that it is not the biggest release of Salman Khan as films like Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat had seen bigger releases but the sort of budget and appeal Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has the release is huge.## Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan took an average start in the morning shows with single screens and multiplexes outside the big three national chains showing good crowds. The film is a pre-eid release which is worse than a nonholiday but many Salman Khan starrers opened in pre-eid to bumper houses as well. The likes of Dabangg (2010) and Ek Tha Tiger(2012) were record openers during pre-eid. After an average start, the film did see some growth in the multiplexes.## As per the early estimates, KKBKKJ scored around 12-13 crores net which is a low number for a Salman Khan film as his films were recording these opening day numbers around 12-13 years ago on nonholiday. That was the peak of Superstar Salman Khan and currently, he is not at his peak and well past his prime but still the opening is disappointing. There is a struggle to open a film on a good note post-pandemic with a nonevent film and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan falls in this category.## The business of film is driven by single screens and tier-2 multiplexes where the pull of the star gets stronger rather than national chains where the audience go for the products and not for the stars most of the time. Some circuits are just decent which always open the bumper for Salman Khan and that is again a big disappointing thing. Overall it's an average Friday at the box office where the numbers are far from being good and that too for the reigning Superstar. ## Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan needs to show huge growth tomorrow helped by the Eid holidays. If the numbers on Saturday and Sunday do not fire then the film will find it very hard to run at the box office. The advance booking for tomorrow is similar to the first day but tomorrow is a holiday so the film will start with better occupancies. The talks of the film are mixed just like every commercial film. Superstar Salman Khan Advises Younger Actors To Do Two-Hero Films

Mumbai, April 21 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's long-awaited family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has been released in theaters today and is expected to do well at the box office. ## Salman Khan stars in the film alongside Telugu actors Venkatesh, and Jagapathi Babu, among others. There was a time when two-hero films used to be the norm, especially in Bollywood, but the trend died down in the last 15-20 years. ## Post the covid-19 pandemic, the chatter about making two-hero films has been peaking pace as most people feel that this is the need of the hour for the betterment of the industry. Recently, Salman Khan played a vital cameo in Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" which also stars John Abraham. ## The cameo of Salman was a major highlight and played a big role in "Pathaan's" box office success. The two heroes will now be sharing equal screen time in "Tiger Vs. Salman also emphasized that multi-starrers also result in bigger box office collections. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, April 20 - Superstar Salman Khan-fronted Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is having a decent advance booking trend though the pace is slowed down after starting on a positive note. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ has so far sold around 100K tickets worth approx. 2.50 crores gross for the opening day. The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have clocked around 40K tickets so far and it looks to finish around 60K-65K tickets. ## The advances are having better response than all but Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" for the 2023 films. At the end of the day, the total pre-sales for the first day are expected to finish over 4 crores gross with approx. 150K-175K tickets, which will make it the second biggest this year. ## At the start of the advance booking a couple of days ago, KKBKKJ was looking to score in the range of 20 crores net on the first day, however, the slow pace and the pre-Eid release have brought down the projection a little bit.## As many are expecting, the opening of the film is looking in the 15 crores net range but considering the better response in mass pockets, it should be eying to open around 17 crores which will be a good number and it could go higher if the talks are positive. Many would argue that a 15-17 crores opening is not up to the mark for a star like Salman Khan but things are not as same it was before the pre-covid era. ## Salman Khan has a strong fan-following in mass belts so expect the walk-ins to be strong than most of the Bollywood films this year.
