Late Sushant Singh Rajput's Fans Show Their Support For Aryan Khan In Drugs Case

Mumbai, October 12 - The last few days have been very distressful for the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as his son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Beuero in a drugs case. While the NCB investigation is on in the case, Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan are getting huge support from industry people and fans as they are praying for the freedom of Aryan. ## In his long supporters' list, the fans of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was himself a huge fan of SRK and regarded him to be his idol, also showed their support to King Khan's family. However, the Bollywood film industry, as well as fans, claimed that the NCB has targeted SRK and his son in the case. ## Aryan's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, has requested the court for Aryan's bail in the matter while the inquiry is on. The matter will be heard on Wednesday, October 13 at the Special NDPS court in Mumbai, where the NCB's Additional Solicitor General, Anil Singh, will argue that Aryan requires judicial custody in order to continue the investigation into the drugs case in which the agency has made some new arrests.## Earlier, Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB on October 3 in connection with a drugs raid. Maharashtra Government Releases SOPs For Cinema Theatres

Mumbai, October 12 - The government of Maharasthra recently announced that the cinema halls and theaters would be permitted to operate from October 22, for which, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) would be released soon. ## And now, on October 11, the wait is over for the Bollywood filmmakers as the government has released the SOPs which have cleared the road for Rohit Shetty's "Sooryavanshi" and other upcoming Bollywood biggies, which are lined up for release. ## As expected, the moviegoers will have to strictly adhere to the covid-19 guidelines such as practice social distancing, wear face masks and use sanitizers inside the theatre. The government has set a 50% occupancy cap in the cinema halls and also asked for stagger show timings so that crowding doesn't take at any point in the theatre.## The SOP has also mentioned that those who are fully vaccinated will have to show their Covid vaccination certificate. Fortunately, if one is partially or non-vaccinated, he/she can still enter the theatre, provided they show the 'safe' status on their Aarogya Setu app.## The staff of the cinema halls has been asked to check the temperature of the viewers and allow only asymptomatic individuals inside. The management of the theatres will have to sanitize the auditorium after every screening and also ensure regular and disinfection. The staff is also required to be fully vaccinated.## The government hasn't mentioned cut-off time for cinemas to operate in the SOPs which means that the night shows have been allowed. The government has also encouraged online booking to avoid crowd at the booking store and food or beverages will not be allowed inside the theaters.## Stay tuned...

Amitabh Bachchan Terminates His Contract With Paan Masala Brand After Criticism

Mumbai, October 11 - Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 79th birthday today. The icon of Indian cinema greeted his fans who came to wish him at his home. On his special day, Big B, in his latest blog post, revealed that he has terminated his contract with a paan masala brand, Kamala Pasand. ## A promo video of the brand was recently launched which inviteed criticism for Big B. Amitabh Bachchan, who is also a brand ambassador for the pulse polio campaign, was criticised for promoting the paan masala brand. In his blog, Big B revealed that he was unware of certain things about the brand and also revealed that he signed the contract with the brand without the knowledge that it categorises as "surrogate advertising". ## "From the office of Mr Amitabh Bachchan", read the statement. "Kamala Pasand - a few days after the commercial was aired, Mr. Bachchan contacted the brand and stepped out of it last week. Upon checking why this sudden move - it was revealed that when Mr. Bachchan became associated with the brand, he wasn't aware that it falls under surrogate advertising".## The statement also revealed that Amitabh Bachchan, after terminating his contract, has returned the money he received for promotional duties. Mumbai, October 11 - The release prospect for the Bollywood film industry has changed in the last couple of weeks. Movies that were supposed to be heading for direct-to-digital release are now gearing up for the theatrical release. One such film is Salman Khan and Ayush Sharma starrer "Antim: The Final Truth".## "Antim: The Final Truth", the gangster-cop drama was earlier reportedly sold for direct OTT release. However, after theaters in Maharashtra were permitted to operate from October 22, the makers changed their plans and now opting for theatrical release. The film was in line for its possible Diwali release. However, the movie is now scheduled to hit the big screens on November 26 after director Manjrekar filmed few more scenes on Salman. ## Salman, who recently returned from Tiger 3 shoot, has been shooting for a few extra scenes. A source told mid-day, "After returning from the international schedule of Tiger 3, Salman filmed some solo dialogue scenes between October 4 and 6. The decision to add more sequences, featuring the actor, was taken jointly by Salman and Mahesh after seeing the rushes of the gangster-cop drama". ## After the latest development, "Antim" will most probably be clashing with John Abraham starrer "Satyameva Jayate 2", which has already been confirmed to release on November 26. Both the films are masala entertainers with a mass audience in mind, hence, it will be an interesting battle at the box office. SMJ2 has an edge over Antim as this John Abraham fronted has been one of the most-awaited Hindi films. Anti, on the other hand, is not a complete Salman Khan film. The actor is playing an extended cameo in the movie which is the official remake of the 2018 Marathi film Mulshi Pattern.## Salman Khan plays a Sikh cop in the film while Ayush Sharma plays a gangster. Shashank Khaitan To Direct Shanaya Kapoor In Her Debut Film For Dharma Production!

Mumbai, October 8 - After directing Janhvi Kapoor in her debut film "Dhadak", an acclaimed filmmaker, Shashank Khaitan, is now gearing to helm Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor's daughter and Janhvi's cousin, Shanaya Kapoor in her debut film for Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. ## Earlier, in March this year, Karan Johar had announced his plans to launch Shanaya in Bollywood and had also reportedly roped Paras Chakravarti to direct the film. However, according to peeping moon, Karan Johar has now asked Khaitan to don director's hat for Shanaya's launch, after a mutual decision.## Karan Johar will also launch Guilty actor Gurfateh Pirzada and newbie Lakshya Lalwani alongside Shanaya in this film, which is said to be a light-hearted, urban triangle love story. Lakshya Lalwani was earlier supposed to make his debut with KJo's Dostana 2 co-starring Janhvi Kapoor.## It is said that Shanaya, Gurfateh, and Lakshya have attended several acting workshops over the last seven months and the shooting of the film finally kick off in December this year. The movie was supposed to go on floors in July but the second-19 wave put Johar's plans to take the film on floors to rest. ## Shashank Khaitan, on the other hand, has reportadly completed his yet-untitled rom-com starring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhoomi Pednekar. Mumbai, October 7 - It's getting bigger and bigger for Prabhas, who has become the biggest star of Indian cinema in the last 5 years. The Baahubali actor on Thursday (October 7) announced his landmark 25th film, for which he has collaborated with Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and producer Bhushan Kumar. ## The film, which has been titled "Spirit", will mark Prabhas' first collaboration with Reddy Vanga and 4th with Bhushan Kumar's T-Series after Saaho (distributor), Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush. Abundantia Entertainment Acquires Hindi Remake Rights Of Critically Acclaimed Malayalam Film 'Home'

Mumbai, October 7 - Amazon Prime Video's recently released Malayalam movie, "Home" is all set to be remade in Hindi. Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment (Sherni, Shakuntala Devi, Airlift) has bought the remake rights of this critically acclaimed film and will produce it along with the original's actor-producer Vijay Babu's production company Friday Film House. ## "Home" has been hailed as one of the finest films of the year coming out from the Malayalam cinema. The film shows how a father struggles to connect with his sons who spent most of their time on mobile phones than with their loved ones. Mumbai, October 6 - Sony Pictures Films India has announced a supernatural thriller film, which will be directed by Sabbir Khan (Heropanti, Baaghi, Nikamma). The film, which features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Diana Penty, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the leading roles along with Rohan Mehra, has been titled "Adbhut". ## The film marks Sabbir Khan's second collaboration with Nawazuddin Siddiqui after the 2017 action-dance film Munna Michael and with Sony India after his yet-to-be-released feature "Nikamma", starring Shilpa Shetty, Abhimanyu Dasani, and Shirley Setia in the lead roles. ## Scheduled to be released in 2022, "Adbhut" is backed and produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Sabbir Khan Films. Aryan Khan, Along With Two Others Sent To NCB Custody Till October 7 In Connection With Drugs Raid

Mumbai, October 5 - Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan along with Arbaaz Merchantt and Munmun Dhamecha have been sent to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till 7 October in connection with the alleged seizure of drugs onboard a Mumbai luxury cruise on Saturday. ## Aryan Khan and other accused were produced before a Mumbai court on Monday where the court extended the remand custody of the three till 7 October, stating that the investigation is of "prime importance" in this case. Advocate Satish Maneshinde represents Aryan Khan while Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh represents the NCB. It is NCB sought custody till 11 October.## During the hearing in the court, NCB alleged that there were 'links' found in Aryan Khan's WhatsApp chats that point to an existence of an 'international racket', according to the quint from the report by Live Law. ASG Anil Singh told that there are 8 accused related to the ship and also told the Court that the NCB had procured a commercial quantity of drugs when the ninth accused, a supplier from Mumbai's Juhu, was arrested.## Mr. Singh also alleged that Aryan was discussing the modes of payment and code names were used. He further told the Court that all offenses under the NDPS Act are non-bailable citing previous Bombay High Court judgments, including Rhea Chakraborty's bail order. He sought remand custody till October 11 to track the financing and to unearth the nexus. ## Meanwhile, Aryan Khan claimed that he did not pay anything for the party and went there with his friend on the invitation from the organizers, as per a statement read by Khan's Lawyer Satish Maneshinde. He also claimed that nothing was found on him after his bag was searched by the NCB. ## Maneshinde recalled a judgment to show that commercial quantity found in one accused can't be used to incriminate another. A Supreme Court ruling was also referred to argue that WhatsApp chats cannot be used to incriminate an accused. Mumbai, October 3 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday (October 3) in connection with a drugs raid. Aryan was one of the 10 people present during a rave party on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday (October 2), where NCB conducted a surprise raid. ## Aryan was detained by NCB and was taken in for questioning. However, earlier it was reported that his involvement was unlikely in possession of drugs as the investigation was on him.
