Shah Rukh Khan's Son Aryan Questioned By NCB After Drugs Raid (Report)

Mumbai, October 3 - The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is once again in action mode after conducting a surprise raid on a party being held on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday (October 2). During a raid, NCB detained at least 10 persons, including the son of a Bollywood superstar. ## While NCB hasn't named anyone officially yet, according to ETimes, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was one of the people who were present at the rave party. The report further claims that Aryan was taken in for questioning, but there was probably no involvement in the possession of drugs. An investigation is on him, according to an NCB official.## Apart from Aryan Khan, it has also been speculated that another Bollywood actor's son has been detained in the same case, however, there is no confirmation regarding him yet. NCB also questioned three Delhi resident women in the drugs probe and they all were brought to the NCB office in Mumbai on Sunday morning. ## Yesterday night (October 2), news agency ANI confirmed the news of the drugs raid on a rave party on Twitter with a post that read, "Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained at least 10 persons during a raid conducted at a party being held on a cruise in Mumbai. Mahesh Manjrekar Announces A Film 'Godse' On Mahatma Gandhi's Birth Anniversary

Mumbai, October 2 - Filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, after announcing a film on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, has now announced a film on Nathuram Godse, who assassinated Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The movie, titled "Godse" was announced on Mahatma Gandhi's 152nd birth anniversary on October 2. It will be produced by Sandeep Singh and Raaj Shaandilyaa. ## Announcing the film, Mahesh Manjrekar wrote on Twitter, "The Deadliest Birthday wish ever! Get ready to witness a story no one dared to tell before! Sandeep Singh, Raaj Shaandilyaa, and Mahesh Manjrekar announce a film "Godse" on Mahatma Gandhi's 152nd birth anniversary. The story of Nathuram Godse has always been close to my heart".## The filmmaker further said that while telling the story of Godse, the makers do not want to speak against anyone and only audiences have the right to choose what is wrong or right. The movie, which is said to be a comedy thriller, will see Akshay and Emraan coming together for the first time. ## Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, it is learned that the film is the remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Driving License that starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. However, among the slate of films, Akshay Kumar's "Atrangi Re" has yet to get a release date. ## While many are wondering why the makers haven't announced the theatrical release date of "Atrangi Re", which is ready for a long time now, it has now been revealed that the makers of the film might be opting for a direct-to-digital release via Netflix. It is produced by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films.## Akshay Kumar too had hinted about the direct OTT release of "Atrangi Re" in a chat with Hindustan Times. "To be honest, I haven't yet included Atrangi Re in the list because we are still mulling over whether it should be a theatrical film or an OTT release. Maharashtra Government Announces The Reopening Of Theaters After Filmmaker Rohit Shetty And Others Met State CM

Mumbai, September 25: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday announced that cinema halls and drama theatres in the state will be allowed to operate from October 22 on the condition that they follow all the protocols required to prevent the spread of coronavirus.## The standard operating procedure (SOPs) regarding cinema reopening is in the works and will be issued soon. Earlier in the day, filmmaker Rohit Shetty along with Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, and representative of multiplex owners met chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and discussed the theater reopening status and urged him for urgent action. ## Theatres and auditoriums in Maharashtra will open after 22nd October 2021 while observing all COVID safety protocols. Ajay Devgn And Drishyam Cast Set To Reprise Their Roles In Drishyam 2!

Mumbai, September 23: Superstar Ajay Devgn has locked one more film in his long list of the upcoming slate. The actor, who is currently working on multiple films such as Mayday, Maidaan, Thank God, and Disney+Hotstar series Rudra, is all set to return as Vijay Salgaonkar in the sequel to the blockbuster "Drishyam".## Earlier in May this year, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak's Panorama Studios International had acquired the Hindi remake rights of Mohanlal starrer suspense thriller "Drishyam 2". The latest development around the Hindi remake is that it is set to go on floors in December this year after Ajay Devgn finishing his current projects. ## According to Peepingmoon, Ajay Devgn has given his dates from late December to this sequel that will be the remake of Mohanlal's critically acclaimed Malayalam film, Drishyam 2: The Resumption. The sequel will also see Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta reprising their roles from the first part which was released in 2015. ## Abhishek Pathak, who made his directorial debut with Sunny Singh's "Ujda Chaman", will reportedly be directing "Drishyam 2". He has stepped in to helm this much-awaited thriller in the absence of the first part's director Nishikant Kamat who passed away last year due to multiple organ failure. ## The first part of Drishyam traced the struggle of Salgaonkar and his family who come under suspicion when the son of Inspector General Police gets killed. Drishyam 2, which is set six years after the events of the first film, will showcase how Vijay Salgaonkar and his family's past come to haunt them and how they manage to escape once again. ## The original "Drishyam 2" was released directly on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year. Upon its digital premiere, it received rave reviews as audiences hailed it one of the finest suspense thrillers of Indian cinema. Mumbai, September 22: After proving to be the biggest blockbuster for Amazon Prime Video, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer biographical war film "Shershaah" is all set to be screened on the big screen during the 1st ever The Himalayan Film Festival (THFF) on 24th September. ## Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shri Anurag Thakur will inaugurate the first Himalayan Film Festival on 24th September 2021. The festival spanning five days is being held at Leh, Ladakh from 24th to 28th September 2021.## The inaugural of the festival will witness the presence of makers and cast of Shershah, including Director Shri Vishnuvardhan and the lead actor Shri Siddharth Malhotra. Telugu Film Nani's Gang Leader Set To Be Remade In Hindi

Mumbai, September 23: Bollywood filmmakers may be facing criticism for going after remakes of regional movies, but their love affair with remakes seems unending. With over 30 South film remakes already in the various stages of production, Bollywood filmmakers are continuously adding more and more films to this list and proving the critics right that they lack originality and are widely dependent on remakes. ## Speaking about the latest soon-to-be remade in Hindi, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan's Tamil blockbuster "96" was recently confirmed to be remade in Hindi by "Attack" producer Ajay Kapoor and now, there are reports that Nani's one of the most loved Telugu movie "Gang Leader" is also ready for Bollywood makeover. ## According to Peepingmoon, producer Akshai Puri of 12th Street Entertainment has bought the rights to this 2019 Telugu comedy thriller directed by Vikram Kumar. He said to have got the remake rights just last week and will soon set up a team of writers to adapt the screenplay to suit it with Hindi audiences. ## Even before the reports of the Hindi remake of "Gang Leader" came out, this Nani starrer was in news recently after a rumored plot line of Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's film emerged on social media. Speculations started doing rounds regarding the similarity between two films after a web portal claimed that "Atlee film will be a massive revenge action-entertainer that will have Shah Rukh Khan assembling a team of women, who wanted to seek revenge for their past, to rob something untouchable". ## While it's true that SRK-Atlee's much-anticipated Pan-India offering is a robbery drama, it has nothing to do with Nani's Gang Leader as the film's remake rights are with Akshai Puri. "Gang Leader" revolves around five women who seek the help of a budding crime novelist (played by Nani) to avenge the death of their loved ones. Kangana Ranaut Files A Counter Defamation Case Against Javed Akhtar

Mumbai, September 20, 2021: Actress Kangana Ranaut appeared before a magistrate's court in Andheri, Mumbai, for the hearing in the defamation case filed against her by veteran Bollywood lyricist, Javed Akhtar. ## The court had directed the actress last week to appear on the next date, failing which it would issue an arrest warrant. After Kangana's appearance, the court adjourned the matter to November 15. ## Kangana, however, is not happy with the in-charge court on the grounds and moved a plea before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate seeking a transfer of the defamation case as she has "lost faith". She also filed a counter defamation case against Akhtar. Both will be heard on October 1. ## In her complaint against the veteran lyricist, Ranaut has accused him of extortion and criminal intimidation among other charges. She claims that in a public dispute with a co-star, Hrithik Roshan, Akhtar called her sister and her to his house at Juhu, and threatened her.## "The said accused (Akhtar) even had the audacity to then "force me to tender a written apology to my said co-star (Roshan), thus, forcefully seeking to create a document (valuable security) in favour of my co-star", Ranaut's plea said.## Earlier, Akhtar (76) had filed the complaint in the court in November last year, claiming Ranaut had made defamatory statements against him in a television interview, which allegedly damaged his reputation.## Stay tuned...

Vijay Sethupathi & Trisha's Tamil Blockbuster '96' To Get A Hindi Remake

Mumbai, September 20, 2021: After Kannada and Telugu remakes, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan starrer romantic drama film "96" is all set to be remade in Hindi as well. Producer Ajay Kapoor, who recently announced a film on the Afghan rescue crisis, has acquired the Hindi remake rights of this Tamil blockbuster. ## Speaking about the film, Ajay Kapoor said (according to TV9), "96 was a heartwarming, light-hearted romantic tale that got a lot of love from the audience. A Documentary Series On Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan Is In The Making

Mumbai, September 19, 2021: Salman Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the Hindi film industry. From the beginning of his career to become the superstar, Salman's 33-years of journey in the film industry has nothing been short of a rollercoaster ride, in which he has had his share of ups and downs. ## While the fans of Salman will see plenty of films of him in the future, a docu-series on the actor is also in the making and it has reportedly been titled "Beyond The Star - Salman Khan".
