Ranbir Kapoor's All-Time Blockbuster 'Animal' Streaming Date Revealed

Mumbai, January 20 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's A-rated action drama Animal, after debuting on December 1, 2023, proved to be one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time, grossing over 900 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Animal is currently in its 8th week and its theatrical run coming close to an end. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film were bagged by Netflix, and as per the latest reports, Animal will be released on January 26 on the streamer in Hindi along with the dubbed versions of Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages. ## As reported earlier, Animal is expected to stream on Netflix with an extended runtime of around 3 hours and 30 minutes, which is 8-9 minutes extra from its theatrical runtime. Mumbai, January 19 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan's aerial action drama Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been rated U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification. Also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, the film is scheduled to release on January 25. ## Fighter was censored on January 19 with an approved theatrical runtime of 166 minutes (2 hours and 46 minutes). Mumbai, January 19 - Sunny Deol as Tara Singh will be returning for the third round after Zee Studios reportedly green-lit the threequel to the mega-blockbuster period action drama franchise, Gadar. It all began in 2021 when Sunny Deol and director Anil Sharma teamed up for "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" which went on to become the biggest Indian blockbuster of that time. ## 22 years later, the team of Gadar reunited for its sequel, "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" and scripted history with it. The movie went on to gross close to 700 crores at the worldwide box office and became one of the biggest blockbusters of all time. The mega success of Gadar 2 ensured that there would be the third film in the series and it is happening. ## Though it was already reported that director Anil Sharma trying the crack the idea Gadar 3, and according to Pinkvilla, the filmmaker has finally locked the basic idea and Zee Studios has green-lit the same. It is said that the first round of paperwork has been done between Zee Studios, Anil Sharma, and Sunny Deol. ## The franchise has been set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak conflict and Gadar 3 will follow the same though the stakes will be higher than before. Mumbai, January 11 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki has completed three weeks at the box office. The movie had a good first week domestically with approximately 160 crores net, before it dropped a bit heavily, around 71% in the second week and now in the third week, it has another drop.## Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the social comedy-drama witnessed a drop of around 65% and scored approximately 15.25 crores net in its third week. It has slowed down after the Christmas and New Year weekend, which was expected given its drama genre. ## The total three-week collection of Dunki is approximately 221.75 crores net (266 crores gross) and it is heading towards finishing below the 250 crores mark, at around 230-240 crores lifetime net collection which is still good numbers given the genre and mixed word of mouth. ## At the overseas box office, Dunki has scored around 172 crores gross, and allied to its domestic collection, the movie has scored approximately 438 crores at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, January 8 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's action drama Animal has become only the fifth film in history to breach the 500 crores net collection mark in the Hindi language after Baahubali 2, Pathaan, Gadar 2, and Jawan. ## Animal, released in December 2023, proved to be one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever. The adult-rated action drama opened to historic numbers and became the first film to score 50+ crores net collection on three consecutive days, and went on to score over 300 crores net in the first weekend in Hindi. ## The movie held superbly in the second week to score over 130 crores net in Hindi, followed by another solid hold in the third week. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the spy action thriller opened to huge numbers and went to cross 600 crores gross domestically and close to 400 crores overseas for approximately 1055 crores worldwide. ## Pathaan became the first 1000 crore grosser of SRK, he quickly followed this historic blockbuster with another massive hit, Jawan which bettered the numbers of Pathaan and finished 2023 as the highest Indian grosser of the year. In India, the Atlee-directed action drama grossed 760 crores and made 400 crores at the overseas box office, for 1160 crores worldwide figures. Indian Box Office Went Up By 10 Percent In 2023 As Compared To 2022

Mumbai, January 1 - The Indian box office in 2023 witnessed a rise of approximately 8% as compared to 2022. It was a year when Bollywood was back on top and dominated the overall Indian market, thanks to some of the biggest blockbusters of all time in the form of Pathaan, Jawan, Animal, and Gadar 2, among others. ## In 2023, the films across languages grossed an estimated 11400 crores (9700 crores net) at the Indian box office, while in 2022, it was an estimated 10550 crores gross (8850 crores net) collection. The Hindi language has had a sharp rise of approximately 45% while the Telugu language mostly remained flat and Tamil witnessed an upward trend but Kannada and Malayalam cinema scored a decline. ## Have a look at the language-wise break-down of the collection at the Indian box office in 2023 - ## Hindi - As said, it was an unforgettable year for Hindi cinema scoring an estimated 4800 crores net collection in 2023, as compared to 3300 crores in 2022. In 2023, Bollywood scored its first 500 crores net grosser in the form of "Pathaan", before "Gadar 2", "Jawan", and "Animal" joined the party in this prestigious club. Apart from the four 500+ crore net grossers, there were 10 other films, including Salaar which minted over 100+ crores net. ## Telugu - It wasn't a great year for Telugu cinema in terms of delivering a big blockbuster. The highest-grossing film in Telugu came in the last month of the year in the form "Salaar" which has minted over 200 crores net. Overall, the Telugu language contributed an estimated 1860 crores net in 2023 as compared to 1900 crores in 2022. 2024, however, could be the break-out year for Telugu cinema as almost all the top stars will be in action. ## Tamil - The Tamil cinema had good success in 2023 with 5 films topping 100+ crores net collection, and two of them ("Leo" and "Jailer") went on to top 200+ crores net. Overall, the Tamil language scored an estimated 1600+ crores net collection in 2023, as compared to 1560 crores in 2022. Just like Telugu, Kollywood could also witness a major turnaround in 2024 with multiple blockbusters lined up for the release. ## Malayalam and Kannada - The Kannada cinema witnessed a major decline in collection in 2023 in the absence of major hits. Last year, there were "Kantara" and "KGF 2" which made a large contribution, but in 2023, things were the opposite, resulting in, the Kannada language scoring an estimated 200 crores net, compared to 650 crores in 2022. ## The Malayalam cinema had a break-out success in 2023 in the form of "2018 Movie" along with some other box office hits but it failed to cross 2022 in terms of overall collection.
