Varun Dhawan To Pair Up With New Actress In The Next Film of 'Dulhania' Franchise?

Mumbai, December 29 - Filmmaker Karan Johar and director Shashank Khaitan's romantic comedy, Dulhania is one of the most successful film franchises, starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. The duo has not only gained commercial success but also gained immense popularity with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). ## There has been a constant demand by the fans from the makers to come up with the third instalment of the franchise with the same team, but it seems there will be some changes to its leading cast. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the makers will be launching a fresh face opposite Varun in the next film of the series. ## It is said that Varun along with director Shashank and producer Karan Johar, have discussed many ideas for Dulhania 3 and they have locked one. Salman Khan-fronted 'The Bull' Casts Trisha Krishnan As The Female Lead?

Mumbai, December 28 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reuniting with producer Karan Johar after 25 years for an action drama based on a real-life incident and the actor will be playing a paramilitary officer for the first time in his career.## Tentatively titled The Bull, the movie will be directed by National Award-Winning director, Vishnuvardhan. And now, according to the latest reports, actress Trisha Krishnan has been cast to play the female lead role in the film that is officially getting launched on December 29 at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. ## Subject to the official announcement, "The Bull" marks Trisha's return to the Hindi cinema after 13 years. The actress was last seen in a Bollywood movie in 2010 when she starred opposite Akshay Kumar in "Khatta Meetha", directed by Priyadarshan. ## While the film will be launched on December 29, the regular shoot will commence in February 2024 and the makers will start constructing the set in mid-January. Salman will be shooting from February to August. Mumbai, December 25 - Shah Rukh Khan's social comedy-drama Dunki has had a good extended first 4-day weekend with over 105.50 crores net collection. It became the third straight movie of SRK to score over 100 crores net in the first weekend after Pathaan and Jawan earlier this year. ## Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is showing a drop of 25-30% on its today, which is a Christmas day for an estimated 22-22.50 crores net collection. The film has a good hold today though a collection with a couple of more crores would have been very good numbers. ## The total collection of Dunki has reached around 127+ crores net in 5 days and the first extended 8-day week is expected to be around 150 crores net. The advances of the film for tomorrow are decent but from here on, the walk-ins will be crucial.## Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire had a big first 3-day weekend in India with over 209 crores net collection in all versions. Mumbai, December 25 - Ranbir Kapoor's mega-blockbuster Animal is fighting it out to keep the cash register ringing despite the showcasing drastically reduced after the arrival of Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki" and Prabhas-fronted "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire at the domestic box office. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal has had a very good 4th weekend in India, scoring approximately 4.90 crores net collection, including approx. 4.55 crores net in Hindi alone. There has been a demand to increase the show count and plans are there to meet the demand from Monday. ## The total net collection of the action drama film is approximately 536 crores and generated 3.21 crores footfalls after 24 days. In Hindi, the movie has minted over 486 crores net so far. At once, it looked like Animal will be able to top 500 crores net in Hindi easily but now, things are looking difficult unless it holds strongly through New Year weekend. ## Animal may also miss the 900 crores mark at the global box office and competition is consistently increasing which is leading to low showcasing for the movie everywhere. Mumbai, December 24 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's social dramedy Dunki is having its best day at the domestic box office so far with net collection topping the 30 crores mark for the first time on its first Sunday.## Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki had witnessed a jump of around 28% on Saturday, and today, the movie jumps further by around 25% to collect an estimated 31-32 crores net. The total collection of the movie has crossed the 100 crores net mark at 105+ crores in 4 days. ## The business of Dunki is driven by multiplex with family audiences coming in good numbers. Maharashtra and Delhi continue to lead the overall biz. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' Extended Version To Stream On Netflix

Mumbai, December 24 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's action drama Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time with its phenomenal run at the worldwide box office.## Animal is one of the lengthiest Indian films ever with a theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 22 minutes. Director Sandeey Vanga has done an amazing job by never letting the film drag for a second despite the long runtime and now, the filmmaker is set to extend the runtime of the movie for its OTT version. ## During a recent interview, Sandeep Vanga said that there is scope for an additional 9-10 minutes which he cut for the film's theatrical release but he will now include those minutes for its digital release. Mumbai, December 20 - The maiden collaboration between the two giant forces of Bollywood cinema, superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani is about to light up the big screen, as the countdown to the social comedy-drama film Dunki has begun. ## Set against the backdrop of illegal immigration, Dunki is SRK's third film of the year after the two mass entertainers, Pathaan and Jawan. Scheduled to release on December 21st worldwide, the movie has been certified 'U/A' with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes by CBFC. ## Dunki is completely different from SRK's last two films which were action entertainers. According to the industry buzz, Dunki will be released on around 4000 screens on its opening day, and then it will depend on the audience's word of mouth going forward as it will have to share screens with Prabhas-fronted Salaar which is releasing on December 22nd. ## The booking for Dunki is heading at a good pace considering the genre which is not front-loaded and the film being a mid-week release. Mumbai, December 20 - To elevate the ever-rising craze of comedy-drama Dunki to the next level, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has taken the promotional spree a step ahead to reach Burj Khalifa. As has been a tradition of SRK's films, the Dunki trailer was showcased on this iconic building. ## The moment the trailer was shown on Burj Khalifa was witnessed by over a 1 lakh crowd of fans. The superstar was also seen dancing to the beats of Lutt Putt Gaya and O Maahi, two chartbuster songs from the movie. The grand event also witnessed a mesmerizing drone show at Burj Khalifa which lighted up the sky and created an enthralling experience for the viewers. ## Kickstarting the promotional journey from Dubai, SRK has totally taken over the city with his charm. King Khan visited VOX Cinemas Dubai where he received a grand welcome from the people on the Dunki Day 1 promotion. Prabhas' 'Salaar: Ceasefire' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details

Hyderabad, December 20 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire is set to hit the big screens this Friday, December 22 in multiple languages. The film is directed by Prashanth Neel whose last directorial "KGF: Chapter 2" was a massive blockbuster and the expectations from his upcoming movie are no less than a blockbuster status. ## "Salaar: Ceasefire" will have to perform out of its skin to turn a profitable venture for the makers. The film's worldwide theatrical business is the second best ever for a Prabhas-starrer, after the giant "Baahubali 2" which crossed 350 crores worldwide theatrical business, and "Salaar" is very close to that mark. ## "Salaar's" worldwide theatrical rights have been sold at approx. 345 crores, according to T2BLive. The film must earn 345+ crores worldwide share collection or close to 600 crores gross to emerge as a box office hit. In Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), the business of the film has been fixed at approximately 145 crores, which means it will need to gross over 225+ crores to achieve the break-even target. ## In Hindi, which will be key to the film's overall success, the business has been valued at approximately 75 crores, which means it must earn 150+ crores gross for hit status. The rest of India business is around 50 crores while overseas business is around 75 crores. ## Prabhas' last few films didn't go well with critics and audiences alike, still, they managed to score close to 400 crores gross each except "Radhe Shyam". "Salaar" is releasing during the Christmas weekend and there is a tremendous buzz among the audiences for the same. 'Salaar: Ceasefire' and 'Dunki' Advance Booking Collection Cross 10 Crore Each For The Opening Day In India

Mumbai, December 19 - The ticketing website Book My Show's server crashed after the advance booking of superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire opened in the Telugu states as thousands of fans jumped to the website to book their tickets. ## The pre-sales, which were moving on at a decent pace, witnessed a sudden jump and crossed the 10 crores gross mark in no time. The action drama film directed by Prashanth Neel is now selling tickets at jet speed in advance which indicates a massive opening in Telugu states. ## As of 11 PM on December 19, Salaar sold over 400K tickets worth 10+ crores gross in all languages for the opening day in India. The Telugu version is leading with a 6+ crores gross collection, and more importantly, the shows are getting sold as soon as they open in Telugu states. ## While "Salaar" has started to gain the deciding momentum, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's social comedy-drama Dunki is also putting up a good show in the pre-sales despite being a mid-week release and not being a mass-friendly front-loaded blockbuster. ## The Rajkumar Hirani's directorial has also crossed the 10 crore gross mark from over 340K tickets sold in advance for the opening day. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga To Start Prabhas' 'Spirit' Before Ranbir Kapoor-Led 'Animal Park'

Mumbai, December 19 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is on cloud nine after the all-time blockbuster success of action drama Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor. Mumbai, December 18 - As the release date of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire is getting closer, the fight for showcasing in single screens is also taking an intense turn, if the latest reports are anything to go by. ## It was recently revealed that in Multiplexes, Dunki will be getting 46% of the total showcasing and 30% will be allotted to Salaar, however, in single screens, the scenario is becoming wild. According to Bollywood Hungama, Pen Marudhar which will release SRK-starrer, has demanded 100% showcasing in single screens across the board. ## The report states that Pen Mrudhar is going all out to secure 100% showcasing outside multiplexes. A source told the website, "Shah Rukh Khan has given 2 films of Rs. 500 crores in 2023 and he deserves exclusivity in single screens. They have given the single-screen owners the option to either give all shows to Dunki or go ahead and support a film of South Origin". ## On the other hand, the Hindi distributor of Salaar, AA Films is open for show sharing, however, their demand is equal to showcasing on single screens.
