Mumbai, June 3, 2021: Actors Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have been booked under sections 188, 34 IPC by Bandra police station for violating lockdown rules. According to the police, the actors went out for a drive without a valid reason.## On Tuesday evening, the two were stopped by policemen on patrolling duty at Bandra Bandstand. Shroff is a resident of Bandra (West), the police said. After making inquiries with the two, the Police learnt that the Baaghi 2 actors were out on a drive, which is the violation lockdown and FIR can be registered against violators. ## "An FIR has been registered on Wednesday under section 188(Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC against the duo", said a senior Mumbai Police officer.## Meanwhile, Mumbai Police's social media handle, after registering FIR against the actors, advised people not to violate lockdown norms by mentioning Tiger and Disha's film's title in the tweet in a witty manner. ## "In the ongoing 'War' against the virus, going 'Malang' on the streets of Bandra cost dearly to two actors who have been booked under sections 188, 34 IPC by Bandra PStn. Bangalore, June 1, 2021: Kannada film superstar, Yash has come forward to help the industry workers in a time of crisis. The KGF star has decided to donate a sum of Rs. 1.50 crores to the workers of the Kannada film industry, who become jobless as there is no shoot due to the lockdown. ## As a great gesture, Yash will be donating a sum of Rs. 5000 to each of the 3000 industry workers in their personal bank accounts. Mumbai, May 31, 2021: The Producers Guild of India (PGI), the association of Indian film, television, and digital content producers, on Monday, announced a vaccination drive for its members and associated production crews beginning from June 1.## According to a press release, the PGI said the members will be vaccinated over the multi-day drive to be held at Mehboob Studios in suburban Bandra. Through these camps, thousands of production house personnel and crews will be vaccinated. ## Siddharth Roy Kapur, President of the Producers Guild of India, said the initiative was key to getting the film industry back on its feet amid the coronavirus pandemic.## "An activity of such importance and magnitude cannot be carried out singlehandedly and we are extremely grateful for the support we have received to make this possible", Kapur said in a statement.## He also thanked the production banner "Excel Entertainment who played a pivotal role in securing the vaccines and Mehboob Productions who very generously offered complimentary use of the spacious Mehboob Studios".## "We are happy that we are able to provide this facility to our members, their employees, and the cast and crew of their productions as we work to get the industry back on its feet again in the weeks ahead," Kapur added.## Keeping the coronavirus situation in mind, the government of India allowed a vaccination drive for 18+ aged from May 1st. Hyderabad, May 28, 2021: South Indian actress Raashii Khanna said that it was upsetting for her to shoot for her Telugu movie, Thank You, in a foreign location at a time when India is battling the second wave of covid-19. The actress was shooting for the film in Milan, Italy and recently returned home. ## Speaking about her experience shooting for the film in Italy, Raashii said it was safe because people in the country very responsibly observed protocol. ## "We were in the middle of the pandemic and I was at first scared to go there (Italy). Once there, I realized people in Italy were very responsible for wearing masks even though the second wave had passed. Very few people were shooting with us in the crew and all precautions had been taken", Raashii told IANS. ## "While I was there, the second wave in India intensified and I was constantly reading about what was happening in India. It was upsetting. It felt bad that our country was suffering and we were away. Now we are back and we can't do much. It's a helpless situation. We shot for what we had gone for, but it was upsetting humanly. We were constantly thinking about what was happening back home", she added. ## Raashii, who made her debut in 2013 with Madras Cafe - her only Hindi movie to date, said that shooting in Italy for "Thank You" was challenging as there were restrictions on movement because they were Indian. Some of the locations were canceled as the growing pandemic situation in India went against them. ## "There were days when we were shooting for 18 hours a day because we didn't have a choice. It wasn't like pre-pandemic that you could shoot at luxury and anywhere you wanted to", the actress added. ## Thank You is a romantic comedy film that stars Naga Chaitanya in the male lead role. Mumbai, May 19, 2021: Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli has once again lent a helping hand amid the covid-19 crisis. After donating Rs. 2 crores along with his actress wife Anushka Sharma in a fundraiser recently, Virat has now donated Rs 6.77 lakh for the Covid treatment of the mother of former Indian women cricketer K.S. Sravanthi Naidu. ## Sravanthi, whose mother is suffering from severe covid-19 symptoms, had appealed to BCCI and Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and many other associations for help. Kohli's gesture was in response to a tweet tagged to him by N. Vidya Yadav, former BCCI South Zone convenor (women's cricket). ## "Honestly, I was amazed at his spontaneous gesture. The actress had contracted coronavirus on May 8, which she had shared via Instagram. ## Now, she has recovered, she thanked her fans and well-wishers for their prayers.
