Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' Ticket On Sale for IMAX 70MM Screenings A Year Before Release Date; Sees Excellent Initial Response

Los Angeles, July 17 - After creating history with Oppenheimer (2023), acclaimed director Christopher Nolan will return to the big screen with the epic action fantasy The Odyssey on July 17, 2026, and there is already massive anticipation for it. ## With exactly a year to go before the release, Universal Pictures and Christopher Nolan have already put the movie on advance sale for IMAX theatres that are equipped to screen the epic in 70MM, which is said to be Nolan's format of choice. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, this is the first time in history that any tickets have gone on sale a year before a film's release. Reportedly, there are around 30 IMAX locations that are capable of playing 70mm film reels, and the bookings for The Odyssey have opened in 26 of them. ## The initial response to the movie is excellent, as expected. The iconic BFI IMAX in London opened the pre-sales for the movie, and in less than 30 minutes, the midnight and 8 PM shows on July 17 are almost sold out. Interestingly, the BFI IMAX doesn't refund tickets in any case. ## About The Odyssey ## The Odyssey follows Odysseus, the legendary Greek king of Ithaca, on his long and perilous journey home following the Trojan War, chronicling his encounters with mythical beings such as the Cyclops Polyphemus, the Sirens, and the witch-goddess Circe, and culminating in his reunion with his wife, Penelope. ## The movie stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, alongside Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Jon Bernthal, among others, in prominent roles. ## Stay tuned...

'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga' Worldwide Box Office Projection Revealed

Mumbai, May 22 - Warner Bros. Pictures' much-anticipated post-apocalyptic action adventure film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is hitting theatres on May 23 and it will be looking to bring in some joy at the box office, not just domestically but also worldwide. ## The Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth-starrer is both a reboot of the Mad Max franchise and a prequel. According to Deadline, Furiosa is tracking to earn $80 million - $85 million in its worldwide opening weekend, starting on Wednesday (May 22). ## As reported previously is projected to earn $40+ million in its 4-day domestic (North America) opening weekend while overseas, it is tracking $40 million - $45 million. The movie is carrying a budget of $160 million and is certified fresh at Rotten Tomatoes with an 85% critics' score. ## Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), starring Charlize Theron, opened at $45.4 million domestically so the projection of Furiosa is very much on the lines of the original movie. ## In India, Furiosa is expected to have a much better outcome than the original movie which grossed approximately 15 crores in its lifetime run. Los Angeles, May 13 - The Fast and Furious saga is one step closer to its end but it can't get done without one of the franchise's biggest assets, Dwayne Johnson. ## Dwayne Johnson, who last appeared in the Fast & Furious spin-off "Hobbs & Shaw" in 2019, previously told that he would never be making his comeback in the franchise, but it seems that has become a thing of the past as according to The Wrap, the Hollywood superstar is all set for one final ride in the franchise.## As per the report, Dwayne Johnson has returned to the "Fast and Furious" franchise, making an appearance in the post-credits sequence for the upcoming Fast X, which releases next week on May 19.## The return of The Rock may surprise many as he was adamant about not making a comeback to the blockbuster action series after having some issues with Vin Diesel, the star and producer of the franchise. Diesel, however, requested Johnson to put the issues aside and come back to the series, in an Instagram post in November 2021.## In another surprising news, there could be the 12th film in the franchise after Vin Diesel said that Universal Pictures has asked if "Fast X" could be turned into a trilogy. The Final 'Fast and Furious' Movie Confirmed To Release Worldwide In 2025

Los Angeles, April 26 - Vin Diesel-fronted 11th and the final film in Fast and Furious franchise will be released worldwide in 2025. The release date was announced at CinemaCon 2023 where it was confirmed that the second part of Fast X will hit screens two years from now on. ## Vin Diesel previously told in an interview that there are plans the release the final two "Fast and Furious" movies back-to-back with the target release date being 02/23 for the first one and 02/24 for the second one. However, the production for "Fast and Furious 11" is yet to begin. It will be directed by Fast X's Louis Leterrier, with Birds of Prey's Christina Hodson and Mortal Kombat's Oren Uziel penning the script.## Meanwhile, the next and penultimate installment in this blockbuster franchise, "Fast X", is scheduled to be released next month, on May 20. Mumbai, April 22 - The sequel to F9 and the eleventh full-length film in the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast X is gearing up for its release on May 19 this year. ## Directed by Louis Leterrier, "Fast X" serves as the penultimate main installment in the franchise as Dominic Toretto and his family are getting ready for the last hurray. Over the last two decades, "Fast & Furious" has left a huge mark on worldwide audiences with the high-octane adrenaline-pumping actioners. ## It has been one of the most successful Hollywood film franchises with over $6.6 billion worldwide box office across the previous 10 films. Los Angeles, May 11 - Oscar-winning actress, Charlize Theron has shared her first look as Clea from her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. The character first appeared in the post-credit scene in Marvel/Disney's "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness". ## In the pictures posted on social media, Theron gives a quick look at her character Clea's makeup and costume. In one of the two pictures she posted on Instagram, Clea can be seen standing with Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, giving a glance at the new love interest of Doctor Strange. ## Giving more details about Charlize's MCU debut, screenwriter Michael Waldron told Deadline, "We always knew we wanted to introduce Clea, who in the comics is, you could say, the great love of Doctor Strange but really in a lot of ways his formidable equal as a sorcerer herself. Her backstory is fascinating; she's the niece of Dormammu, the giant floating head from the first movie".## "Doctor Strange and Clea have a lot of great adventures in the comics, and we knew we wanted to introduce her. Director Justin Lin Quits 'Fast and Furious 10' Because Of Vin Diesel?

Los Angeles, May 2 - A few days ago, "Fast & Furious" director Justin Lin had walked out from the franchise's next installation, "Fast X", which has already commenced filming. While not giving reasons behind his decision, Lin announced that he will, however, remain involved with the project as a producer.## Now, according to nydailynews, Justin Lin quit as director of "Fast & Furious 10" because star Vin Diesel is so difficult. "Diesel shows up late to the set. He doesn't know his lines. And he shows up out of shape. No one is dissing Vin Diesel on the record, but everyone knows", the report said quoting a source. ## Production on "Fast 10" started on April 20, with franchise stars Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, and Charlize Theron returning, along with new cast members Brie Larson, Michael Rooker, Jason Momoa, and Daniela Melchior. ## Justin Lin directed five "Fast and Furious" movies, beginning with 2006's "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift". His run with the high-octane franchise continued with 2009's "Fast & Furious", 2011's "Fast Five" and 2013's "Fast & Furious 6".
