Tom Hardy's 'Venom: The Last Dance' Box Office Projection Revealed

Los Angeles, September 28 - Tom Hardy-led superhero movie Venom: The Last Dance is gearing up for the release on October 25 as the last film of the Venom franchise. The movie is directed by Kelly Marcel and is a part of Sony's Spider-Man universe. ## With under a month to go before the release, Venom: The Last Dance is tracking to be the biggest opener in the franchise. According to the projection by Box Office Pro, Venom 3 is headed towards taking the opening of $80 million - $120 million at the domestic opening weekend. ## The first two films of this anti-hero franchise opened with approximately $10 million apart - $80.20 million for 2018's Venom and $90 million for 2021's Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Venom 3, as per the early projections, is in the position to take the biggest start of the franchise and it can do it with a fair margin. ## Both, Venom and Venom - Let There Be Carnage finished their domestic run with an almost identical total of $213.51 million and $213.55 million, respectively. Here, Box Office Pro has projected a $250 million - $300 million range lifetime domestic gross collection. ## It is worth noting that Venom 2 was released during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic so there was a possibility it could have done much better in a normal scenario. Venom 3 is expected to get the benefit of being the final film of the franchise which has been incredibly popular among the superhero movie fans. ## Venom 3 is the fifth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). Mumbai, September 26 - Tom Hardy is the set for the Last Dance with his blockbuster anti-hero franchise Venom. The third and final film, titled Venom: The Last Dance is gearing up for the big screen debut on October 25 this year. ## As the movie is gearing up for release, the official runtime for the same has reportedly been revealed. According to the latest reports, the movie is set to be a nearly 2 hours long flick with a final runtime of around 1 hour and 50 minutes (110 minutes). ## Recently, two different theatre chains listed conflicting runtimes for Sony Pictures' upcoming blockbuster. As per The Direct, Odeon listed the threequel on its website with a 140-minute runtime (2 hours, 20 minutes) while Cineworld listed it with a runtime of 120 minutes (2 hours). ## However, it is believed that the final runtime of Venom 3 will be changed as the latest reports suggest. Mumbai, April 29 - The first trailer of Disney's highly-awaited Mufasa - The Lion King, a prequel to the studio's billion-dollar grosser The Lion King (2019), is released on April 29. ## Directed by Barry Jenkins, the photorealistic animated film will explore the origin story of the titular lion, Mufasa with his brother Taka aka Scar, who went on to become the main antagonist in The Lion King.## Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. have voiced the younger versions of Mufasa and Scar, respectively. Earlier, James Earl Jones voiced Mufasa in both the 1994's original film and the 2019's remake. Jeremy Irons voiced Scar in 1994 before Chiwetel Ejiofor replaced him in 2019. ## ## The Lion King, which was released in July 2019, is Disney's one of the highest-grossing films with $1.66 billion at the worldwide box office. Disney Sets Title And Release Year of The Prequal To The 'Lion King'

Washington, September 10 - Two years after the original announcement, Disney has confirmed Mufasa: The Lion King title of the prequel to the 2019 Lion King film at D23. The film will be directed by the acclaimed "Moonlight" director Barry Jenkins. ## According to Variety, the prequel tells the origin story of the iconic Disney father, exploring his childhood growing up with his brother Scar. The film will feature the voice of Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as younger versions of the characters, filling in for James Earl Jones as Mufasa in both the 1994 original and the 2019 CGI remake, and Jeremy Irons and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Scar.## In addition to announcing the title, exclusive preview footage of the film was also shown to the audience at the D23 expo. The footage began with Rafiki (John Kani) telling the story of Mufasa to young cubs, revealing that the lion was actually an orphaned cub who had to navigate the world alone until he rose to become the king of Pride Rock. ## As such, the film goes beyond the iconic Pride Lands to show him as a cub in a desert, where he is swept away by a flood and becomes an orphan. Although brief, the footage also included narration from Billy Eichner's Timon, in a meta joke tag for the footage: "Wait wait wait, am I not in this story? I don't feel seen".## "The Lion King" has been one of the most loved Disney films of all time, with both, the original and remake grossing over $2.6 billion at the global box office. The original remains a critically acclaimed classic and grossed over $960 million worldwide, followed by $1.66 billion for the remake in 2019. Box Office: Doctor Strange 2 Becomes Biggest Grosser of 2022 Worldwide

Mumbai, May 23 - Marvel Studios has once again claimed the top position at the box office as "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of the Madness" has become the highest-grossing movie of 2022 at the worldwide box office. ## The superhero movie, directed by Sam Raimi, has crossed the $800 million global mark, which includes $342.1 million from domestic (North America) and $461.1 million from the international box office, for a total $803.2 million through 3rd weekend. The numbers become even more strong knowing the fact that the movie hasn't been released in China and Russia, two of the biggest movie markets. ## Among 28 Marvel Cinematic Universe films (and excluding China and Russia), "Doctor Strange 2" lands at No. 11 so far on a global basis. It is currently the only film of 2022 to top $800 million, and the second-highest-grossing Hollywood title during the covid-19 pandemic, after "Spider-Man: No Way Home" ($1.89 billion). Warner Bros' "The Batman" is the second-biggest movie of 2022 worldwide with $768 million. ## Among the top international markets, Korea remains the top contributor with $45.9M, followed by the UK ($43.8M), Mexico ($35.7M), Brazil ($29.2M), and Australia ($23M).
