Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon To Join Shahid Kapoor In Cocktail Sequel

Mumbai, December 18 - Rashmika Mandanna is on the signing spree and has locked another Bollywood film with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. The actress already has Chhaava and Thama with the studio and their collaboration extended to one more film. ## Recently, it was reported that Maddock Films to scheduling the sequel to 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail with an entirely new cast. It was revealed that Shahid Kapoor has been signed on to headline Cocktail 2, taking over from Saif Ali Khan, who played the lead in the first film alongside Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. ## Now, according to the latest report, Rashmika Mandanna has been locked to play one of the female leads opposite Shahid in this love triangle sequel. This marks Shahid and Rashmika's first film together after the duo came close to sharing the screen in Anees Bazmee's, now-shelved, comedy entertainer. ## The second female lead of Cocktail is said to be Kriti Sanon who is a frequent collaborator with Maddock Films. The actress will be reuniting with Shahid after this year's hit romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which was also bankrolled by Maddock. ## Cocktail is written by Luv Ranjan and he will be involved through the entire creative process as a partner on the film. 'Cocktail' Sequel In The Works With Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai, November 23 - With franchises making waves at the Bollywood box office, more and more standalone films are getting sequels and the latest to join this trend is 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail which was headlined by Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. ## Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films with others, Cocktail was a box office hit with over 120 crores gross collection worldwide. Now, more than a decade later when franchises are succeeding at the box office, Maddock Films has put Cocktail 2 in the making. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, producer Dinesh Vijan has been working idea of the sequel with director Homi Adajania and they've now crafted a storyline that they believe matches the magic of the first film. Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is in talks to headline the project. ## Shahid has not yet signed on the dotted line but has reportedly verbally committed to this film, which would mark his second collaboration with Maddock following this year's robotic romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The report further states that the talks are on with young actresses to come on board. ## The film is expected to start rolling by the middle of 2025 after Shahid completes Vishal Bhardwaj's action thriller which goes on the floor this December. Sunny Kaushal and Parineeti Chopra To Lead The Sequel To 'Shiddat'

Mumbai, April 13 - The sequel to Sunny Kaushal, and Radhika Madan-fronted romantic drama Shiddat is reportedly in development with Parineeti Chopra as the leading lady opposite Kaushal. ## Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, Shiddat was released in October 2021 on Disney+Hotstar and got an appreciation for its story, songs, and performances. The film was well-received the sequel was imminent which has now been announced. ## Shiddat 2 will be produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and T-Series in association with Jio Studios and it will be released in 2024. Shahid Kapoor's 'Bloody Daddy' Gets A Release Date

Mumbai, April 12 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor's maiden collaboration with director Ali Abbas Zafar finally got some update after Jio Studios unveiled the first look poster today. The movie has been in production since 2021. ## A few hours later after the first look poster was released, Jio Studios also released new action-packed glimpses, and reportedly, the release date was also revealed. It is said that the crime action thriller will be released on June 9, 2023. ## Bloody Daddy will skip theatrical release and will directly premiere on the Jio Cinema app. This announcement was made at the event of Jio Studios, which has backed the action entertainer. Mumbai, January 22 - The Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi has joined hands for the first time for director Raj Mehta's comedy-drama Selfiee. It is the remake of the Malayalam movie "Driving Licence" and also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty as the female leads. ## The trailer of "Selfiee" was launched on Sunday (January 22) and going by the first look at the trailer, the movie promises a crazy fun ride between a movie star and his fan. Akshay Kumar plays the role of a superstar while Emraan plays the role of an inspector who happens to be his die-hard fan. ## The trailer shows how a misunderstanding leads to escalating into a feud between the two which is played out in front of the entire country.
