Mumbai, July 3 - In a historic recognition, star Indian actress Deepika Padukone is set to be honoured with a Star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame, Class of 2026. The announcement was made on Wednesday evening via a livestream by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's selection panel. ## Padukone joins an illustrious list of 35 honourees this year, which includes acclaimed Hollywood names such as Emily Blunt, Rami Malek, Timothée Chalamet, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, and Demi Moore, among others. ## While Deepika becomes the first Indian citizen to receive this honour, she is not the first person of Indian origin. The late Sabu Dastagir, born in Mysore in 1924, was the first Indian to be inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. Discovered by director Robert Flaherty, Sabu rose to fame with the 1937 film Elephant Boy, and after taking American citizenship in 1944, he went on to star in many successful Hollywood productions. ## Deepika Padukone's induction marks a major milestone in her international career, further cementing her status as a global ambassador for Indian cinema. Mumbai, August 2 - Blockbuster Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan's atom bomb movie "Oppenheimer" has crossed the 100 crores net mark at the Indian box office, becoming the first movie of the director to achieve the feat in the country.## "Oppenheimer" tops the 100 crores net mark on its 13th day (2nd Wednesday) in both the versions - English and Hindi. The original English version has contributed approx. 90% of the total collection while the Hindi version has done the remaining. It didn't release in other languages.## Based on the life of American theoretical physicist and polymath J. Mumbai, May 8 - Filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is one of the most-anticipated films releasing this summer. The biographical film is based on the 2005 book American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. ## The film follows the life of theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, played by Cillian Murphy, the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory during the Manhattan Project in World War II, and his contributions that led to the creation of the atomic bomb.## Ahead of the film's theatrical debut on July 21, 2023, "Oppenheimer" gets a new explosive trailer. The trailer was already leaked yesterday which gives us a peek at the atomic bomb test itself. Interestingly, Nolan recreated the atomic bomb without CGI. ## The new trailer gives shows how Oppenheimer created the deadliest weapon on earth as he is noting that they are in "a race against the Nazis".
