Netflix Announces Post-Theatrical Streaming Telugu Films In 2024

Hyderabad, January 15 - Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of some of the biggest Telugu Pan-Indian films in 2024 and beyond. The streamer has been putting efforts to make a mark in the Indian digital space and its upcoming South Indian slate is the first major push. ## The biggest film Netflix has acquired is the upcoming Pan India movie Pushpa - The Rule. Starring superstar Allu Arjun, the action drama film is scheduled to release theatrically on August 15, 2024, in multiple languages and it is likely to be available on Netflix after an 8-week theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara - Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, is another big Telugu Pan India film acquired by Netflix after its theatrical release, which is on April 5. The movie, just like Pushpa 2, is expected to be ready to stream after 8 weeks of the theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Director Prashanth Neel and superstar Prabhas' Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which was released during Christmas 2023 weekend, will also be streaming on Netflix soon. The movie has emerged as a big box office success with a worldwide gross collection of over 600 crores. Netflix will stream it in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil language. ## The line-up also includes Vijay Deverakonda's untitled action drama film VD 12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The theatrical release date of the movie is not locked yet. Veteran Nandamuri Balakrishna's untitled action drama NBK 109, directed by Bobby will also be streaming on Netflix after its theatrical run. ## Other films on Netflix's Telugu slate are Sithara Entertainments' Tillu Square a sequel to 2022 hit "DJ Tillu", starring Siddhu, Studio Green's Buddy, starring Allu Sirish; Sithara Entertainments' Gangs of Godavari starring Vishwak Sen, GA2 Pictures' Production No. 9, and UV Creations' Production 12, starring Kartikeya Gummakonda. ## All of the upcoming Telugu films announced by Netflix will first be released in theatres before they become available for streaming in the original languages, along with other dubbed versions. ## Stay tuned...

Chennai, February 23 - The highly-anticipated action thriller Valimai fronted by Ajith Kumar is all set to explode at the ticket windows from tomorrow. Ajith Kumar is finally returning to the big screen after two-and-a-half years with Valimai and the film is poised to take an earth-shattering opening.## The actor will be seen playing the role of a police officer in the H Vinoth directorial. The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, and Bani J in supporting roles. Chennai, December 31 - After a wait of more than two years, Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's "Valimai" is officially releasing on Sankranthi 2022. Directed by H Vinoth, the movie has been certified with a 'UA' certificate by the censor board and has been greenlit to hit theater screen on January 13, 2022, in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. ## "Valimai" will be Thala Ajith's second-longest film of his career. Telugu Film Nani's Gang Leader Set To Be Remade In Hindi

Mumbai, September 23: Bollywood filmmakers may be facing criticism for going after remakes of regional movies, but their love affair with remakes seems unending. With over 30 South film remakes already in the various stages of production, Bollywood filmmakers are continuously adding more and more films to this list and proving the critics right that they lack originality and are widely dependent on remakes. ## Speaking about the latest soon-to-be remade in Hindi, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan's Tamil blockbuster "96" was recently confirmed to be remade in Hindi by "Attack" producer Ajay Kapoor and now, there are reports that Nani's one of the most loved Telugu movie "Gang Leader" is also ready for Bollywood makeover. ## According to Peepingmoon, producer Akshai Puri of 12th Street Entertainment has bought the rights to this 2019 Telugu comedy thriller directed by Vikram Kumar. He said to have got the remake rights just last week and will soon set up a team of writers to adapt the screenplay to suit it with Hindi audiences. ## Even before the reports of the Hindi remake of "Gang Leader" came out, this Nani starrer was in news recently after a rumored plot line of Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's film emerged on social media.
