'Kill' Director Nikhil Bhat In Talks For A Hollywood Superhero Movie

Mumbai, May 8 - Critically acclaimed action thriller film Kill director Nikhil Bhat is reportedly in talks for a Hollywood superhero movie in a groundbreaking development for Indian cinema. ## According to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, Bhat is in discussions with Universal Studios. It is still unclear if there have been any draft deal papers yet, but the report claims that negotiations have been underway for some time. ## The filmmaker is reportedly represented by the Hollywood talent agency WME (William Morris Endeavor), which is said to be negotiating the deal on his behalf. If it finalises, it will be a historic milestone for the filmmaker who won international acclaim for his movie, Kill. ## Apart from the superhero movie, Bhat is also reportedly working on a mainstream action entertainer for Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, which produced Kill. Dharma Productions' Clarifies On The Rumours of 'Kill' Remake

Mumbai, July 16 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has issued an official statement on the recent speculations about the remake rights of its action thriller Kill which is currently playing in theatres and doing decent business.## Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill was announced to be remade in Hollywood by John Wick director Chad Stahelski even before the film's official release in India on July 5. Since then, there have been rumours that it would be remade in other Indian languages. ## Issuing the official statement on the same, Dharma Productions said that except for the English language remake, the Indian language versions have not been acquired by any parties yet, putting all the speculations to rest. ## Clarification regarding the remake rights of our film, KILL. pic.twitter.com/ALUl8R6Kls— Dharma Productions (@DharmaMovies) July 16, 2024 ## Kill was rated 'A' by CBFC for extreme violence and it is billed as the Indian version of the John Wick franchise. Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment's 'Kill' To Be Remade In Hollywood By 'John Wick' Director

Mumbai, July 2 - Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment's A-rated action thriller Kill, which is scheduled to be released theatrically on July 5, is set to be remade in Hollywood by the John Wick director Chad Stahelski who will produce the movie for Lionsgate. ## Kill has been rated 'A' by CBFC for extreme violence and it is billed as the Indian version of the John Wick franchise. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the movie stars Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, and Tanya Maniktala in key roles. ## "Kill is one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies I've seen recently. Nikhil delivers relentless action sequences that need to be seen by as wide an audience as possible. It's exciting to be developing an English-language version — we have big shoes to fill and I'm looking forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet, and Achin to achieve that", Stahelski said in a statement (via Variety).## In a rare instance, the makers of Kill have partnered with any major Hollywood studio to release the movie in North America and the U.K. with Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions coming on board to distribute the movie there. ## In the film, when army commando Amrit (Lakshya) finds out his true love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage.
