Dharma Productions' Clarifies On The Rumours of 'Kill' Remake

Mumbai, July 16 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has issued an official statement on the recent speculations about the remake rights of its action thriller Kill which is currently playing in theatres and doing decent business.## Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill was announced to be remade in Hollywood by John Wick director Chad Stahelski even before the film's official release in India on July 5. Mumbai, July 2 - Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment's A-rated action thriller Kill, which is scheduled to be released theatrically on July 5, is set to be remade in Hollywood by the John Wick director Chad Stahelski who will produce the movie for Lionsgate. ## Kill has been rated 'A' by CBFC for extreme violence and it is billed as the Indian version of the John Wick franchise. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the movie stars Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, and Tanya Maniktala in key roles. ## "Kill is one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies I've seen recently. Nikhil delivers relentless action sequences that need to be seen by as wide an audience as possible. It's exciting to be developing an English-language version — we have big shoes to fill and I'm looking forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet, and Achin to achieve that", Stahelski said in a statement (via Variety).## In a rare instance, the makers of Kill have partnered with any major Hollywood studio to release the movie in North America and the U.K. with Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions coming on board to distribute the movie there. ## In the film, when army commando Amrit (Lakshya) finds out his true love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. Ayush Mehra Gets Candid About 'How To Fall In Love'

Mumbai, Jan 15 (IANS) 'Call My Agent' actor Ayush Mehra is quite excited about the response of netizens for his Netflix reel show 'How to Fall in Love' with Tanya Maniktala.## Ayush plays a corporate employee during the day and a standup comedian by the night. The reel show consists of six episodes of a minute each.## He said: "I am overwhelmed and thankful for the unconditional love and appreciation all my fans have been showering since the first episode. As an actor, you always want the love and support for your work from everyone. Netizens also demanded for a Season 2 of 'How to Fall in Love' because of the new concept in the form of a reel show."## Sharing his experience of working with Tanya, whom he saw in the web series 'Flames' and also in 'A Suitable Boy', Ayush described her as a "sweet" and "kind" person.## He said: "It was indeed an amazing experience. I have always been a fan of hers and I have only heard good things about her and the good work she does! As 2021 has begun, Vijay Sethypathy shared an exciting update to kick off the year. The actor has teamed with filmmaker Santosh Sivan and shared the first look of his next movie which is titled 'Mumbaikar'. The movie marks the official Bollywood debut for Sethupathy as he is no longer a part of Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. ## Karan Johar and SS Rajamauli shared the first look poster of the movie that featured an ensemble cast including Vijay, Vikrant Massey, Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey, Tanya Maniktala, Sachin Khedekar. Vikrant Massey will step into Sundeep Kishan's shoes in the Hindi remake. Maanagaram, which released in 2017, was an edge-of-the-seat thriller directed by young filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. Mumbaikar will be produced by Shibu Thameens that happens to be his Hindi debut production. ## Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathy is waiting for the release of his next film Master which stars Thalapathy Vijay in the title role. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master is the first big Tamil movie releasing in theaters post lockdown.
