Arshad Warsi Reacts On Controversy Regarding His Comments On Prabhas' Look In Kalki 2898 AD

Mumbai, September 29 - Recently, Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi ignited a controversy after commenting on the characterization of Prabhas in the magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD. While the movie was a massive box office success, Warsi said that he didn't like Prabhas's look or the movie. ## "Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab (I watched Kalki and didn't like it. It hurts me when)... Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he... he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. What have you made of it? Why do they do such things? I never understand", the actor had said in a podcast interview.## While director Nag Ashwin took Arshad's comments sportingly and promised to come up with a better version of Prabhas in Kalki 2, the fans of the superstar called out the Jolly LLB actor for allegedly disrespecting him. Now, after a month, Arshad has responded to the controversy. He said that Prabhas is a very good actor but it was disappointing to see him in Kalki 2898 AD.## "Everybody has their point of view and people like to interpret noise. Ranbir Kapoor Locked To Headline YRF's Action Thriller 'Dhoom 4'

Mumbai, September 28 - Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly been locked to headline Yash Raj Films' hugely anticipated action thriller Dhoom 4. The movie was officially announced many moons back and it is finally moving ahead with the pre-production stage. ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, the 4th instalment of the blockbuster franchise has entered the pre-production stage now at YRF under the supervision of Aditya Chopra. Ranbir Kapoor, who is riding on the monstrous success of Animal, is the newest addition to headline the franchise. ## "The discussions with Ranbir have been going on for the longest time. He had always shown interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 on hearing the basic idea and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy", says the report. ## Ranbir will play the anti-hero and it is said that none of the original cast will return as Dhoom 4 is a reboot in the literal sense. Mumbai, September 26 - Maddock Films and Jio Studios' horror comedy Stree 2 has officially become the highest-grossing Hindi movie at the domestic box office, beating superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan. ## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the mega-blockbuster crossed Jawan (582.31 crores net) on its 6th Thursday (43rd day) to become the new box office king in Hindi. It is, in fact, now the biggest single-language grosser at the Indian box office. ## Jawan, however, remains the biggest Bollywood grosser of all time in India with 640 crores net collection in all versions. It stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan, in key roles.## Laapataa Ladies was released on March 1st this year amid positive critical reception. Mumbai, September 22 - Producer Sohum Shah's folk horror thriller Tumbbad continues to surprise with the superb day-wise trend at the box office since its re-release over a week ago. ## After a good first-week collection of 13.15 crores net, the movie began the second weekend with an excellent jump of over 100% on Friday due to National Cinema Day, scoring approximately 2.75 crores. Tumbbad again showed a fantastic hold on Saturday and stayed over the 2 crore mark. ## On its second Saturday (9th day), the acclaimed flick scored approximately 2.35 crores net, dropping just under 20% from NCD collection. Box Office: 'Tumbbad' Re-Release Second Friday (8th Day) Collection

Mumbai, September 20 - Critically acclaimed Tumbbad re-release begins the second week on a strong note. It has witnessed an excellent jump of almost 100% on its second Friday from Thursday, thanks to National Cinema Day and ever-improving word of mouth. ## Tumbbad had a superb first-week collection of approximately 13.15 crores net, including a 7.25 crores opening weekend total. It was expected to do well in the second weekend due to positive word of mouth and with the added support of low ticket prices on NCD, it doubled the collection on the second Friday. ## The movie scored approximately 2.75 crore net collection on its 8th day, over a 70% jump from the first Friday and a 120% jump from Thursday. The second of the film can go up to 8 crore net which will be bigger than the first weekend. ## The total collection of Tumbbad re-release is around 15.75 crores net and with this, it has outgrossed the lifetime collection of its original run (13.50 crores net) in just 8 days. 'Race 4' Story Will Continue From 'Race 2'

Mumbai, September 20 - The fourth instalment of the action thriller franchise Race is in the making with the shoot scheduled to begin early next year. Saif Ali Khan will make his comeback to the franchise in Race 4 with Sidharth Malhotra joining him this time. ## In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, writer of Race 4, Shiraz Ahmed, who also penned the first three films of the franchise, shared details about the upcoming movie. He has confirmed that Race 4 will go on floors in January 2025. ## Shiraz also confirmed that Sidharth Malhotra's casting is locked with Saif Ali Khan and the rest of the cast will be revealed by the producers Tips Films at the right time in a proper announcement. Meanwhile, the makers have gone back into the world of the first 2 Race movies to set up the next instalment. ## Writer Ahmed said that Race 4 will follow the events of Race 1 and Race 2 with some of the same characters along with new members. Mumbai, September 20 - As Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 is getting closer to becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office, the horror-comedy blockbuster has topped 30 million (3 crores) footfalls in India. ## The Amar Kaushik's directorial has crossed 3 crore admissions in Indian theatres as I type this and becomes the second film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. Stree 2 is the first 3 crore footfall title for the entire major cast and crew along with Maddock Film and Jio Studio.## Post the COVID-19 pandemic, Stree 2 is the 8th film to sell 30 million or more tickets at the Indian box office, after RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Animal, and Kalki 2898 AD. Mumbai, September 20 - Folk horror thriller Tumbbad re-release has had a very good first week at the domestic box office which saw it almost outgrossing the film's lifetime original run of approximately 13.50 crores net collection. ## Rahi Anil Barve's directorial remained over the 1 crore mark for the seventh day in a row, scoring approximately 1.25 crore net collection on Thursday. This took the total re-release collection of the movie to approximately 13.15 crores net in 7 days. ## Tumbbad is expected to witness a good jump on its second Friday due to National Cinema Day on which the ticket prices are kept at just rs. 99. Mumbai, September 19 - Director Anees Bazmee is facing some heat ahead of the release of his hugely-awaited Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan. The horror comedy is scheduled to hit the big screen on November 1st and it will clash with another biggie, Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn. ## There has been a lot of buzz around the box office clash between BB3 and Singham 3, and it seemed Bazmee was not happy with it as BB3 was the first to lock a Diwali release in its pursuit of getting a solo release. It was recently reported that the BB3 team approached director Rohit Shetty to consider postponing the release of his cop drama. ## Bazmee said in a recent interview the BB3 and Singham Again releasing at the same weekend is a business decision taken by the producers and he doesn't want to interfere in this by asking Ajay Devgn and anyone else to reconsider their decision.
