Sidharth Malhotra, Rashmika Mandanna's 'Mission Majnu' Release Date Revealed

Mumbai, November 16 - Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna's spy action thrillerMission Manju is one of the most awaited films. The film was supposed to release in mid-2022 but was postponed due to the delay in post-production work. ## Now, according to the latest reports, Shantanu Bagchi's directorial will directly stream on Netflix, skipping the deserving theatrical release. It is said that the makers are not confident enough about the film's box office prospects and have decided to bring it on OTT to give it the wider reach possible. ## Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta, "Mission Majnu" will reportedly stream on January 18, 2023, on Netflix, making it the second direct OTT release for Sidharth after "Shershaah". The upcoming film marks Sidharth and Rashmika's first film together. ## The movie is inspired by real-life events and tells about India's greatest covert operation that derailed Pakistan's illicit Nuclear Ambitions. Mission Majnu, Govinda Naam Mera, Among 5 Others To Take Direct-OTT Route?

Mumbai, August 18 - The Hindi film industry's revival is getting delayed, thanks to the number of flops since the operation of cinemas resumed post-pandemic. While other industries thriving to new heights, it is Bollywood that hasn't been able to find answers to its misery, and that is also because it isn't offering the cinema audiences is looking for. ## It is a good thing that Bollywood filmmakers, at least some of them, understand where they are going wrong and now looking to make new age cinema that caters to all age audiences. However, there are still some films that were announced for theatrical release, but considering the recent mood of the cinema-going audiences, some of those films might opt for OTT release. ## According to Pinkvilla, "Films like Govinda Naam Mera, Bloody Daddy, Mission Majnu, Freddy, Laxman Uttekar's next with Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, Action Hero and Doctor G might opt for a direct to a digital premiere if they get the right price. Yash Raj Films too is keeping a close watch on the market to decide on the future of their two films – Maharaja and The Great Indian Family". ## It would be shocking if a couple of films mentioned above indeed take a direct-to-digital route. Sidharth Malhotra delivered one of the finest performances in the last year's OTT film "Shershaah". Many believed back then that the movie should have been released in theaters as it was a perfect film for the big screen. "Mission Majnu" of him very much falls in the same category and there is a good amount of anticipation among the audiences for this film. Sidharth Malhotra's 'Mission Majnu' Among 4 Others To Be Postponed Again?

Mumbai, May 2 - A handful of Bollywood movies are set to be postponed again to make way for big-ticket Hollywood tentpoles and also due to the delay in production. It need not say that the covid-19 pandemic has paused a big challenge for the Hindi movies.## While the Indian box office is coming to life thanks to the South Indian and Hollywood movies. Bollywood movies too have success in the form of "Sooryavanshi", "Gangubai Kathiawadi", and "The Kashmir Files", but it is not enough to bring back the industry to its strong feet again. The failure of mid-sized movies remains a big concern for makers and thus, they are now making sure they take the right steps regarding the release of their films and find suitable dates. ## According to Pinkvilla, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rashmika Mandanna's espionage thriller, "Mission Manju" and the Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer "Govinda Naam Mera", which are scheduled to release on June 10, are set to be postponed for later dates. Interestingly, the Hollywood movie, Jurassic World Dominion is also scheduled for June 10 release and it is unlikely to be postponed. ## The report also states that "Mission Majun" will now release between July and September this year while "Govinda Naam Mera" is targeting a year-end release. Apart from the aforementioned movies, Rani Mukerji's "Ms Chatterji V/s Norway", is also getting postponed from May 20th. Kangana Ranaut's "Dhaakad" and Kartik Aaryan's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" are already slated for May 20th release and are all set to proceed with that. ## Another Sidharth Malhotra film, "Yodha", which is slated for a release on November 11, is reportedly getting postponed to 2023. The movie is currently in post-production work and is said to be making way for Marvel Studios' "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", due on November 11.
