Akshay Kumar To Headline Maddock Films and Jio Studios 'Sky Force', Release Date Locked

Mumbai, October 2 - On the occasion of the birth anniversary of former India prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has joined hands with producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios for aerial action thriller film Sky Force.## Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, "Sky Force" is based on the true story of India's first and the deadliest air strike on Pakistan during the Indo-Pak war in 1965. The movie announcement video features the actual footage of the then PM Lal Bahadur Shastri and the voice-over of Muhammad Ayub Khan, president of Pakistan.## The movie will be produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik. The movie will mark the debut of Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya. It did well on Saturday by jumping around 50% for 11.67 crores net collection.## On its first Sunday, "Fukrey 3" scored an estimated 15-15.50 crores net, taking the total net collection to around 43.50 crores in 4 days. The movie should score another double-digit box office collection tomorrow, on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday.## The trend for the movie has been good with very good growth over the weekend. Mumbai, September 30 - Directed Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's comedy entertainer "Fukrey 3" has a very good first Saturday at the domestic box office as collection jumped by over 40% from Friday. The national multiplex chains continue to dominate the overall collection which was expected.## On its third day/first Saturday, "Fukrey 3" scored an estimated 11-11.50 crores net, taking the total collection to around 28 crores in three days. The movie should see another similar kind of jump on Sunday as Monday is again a holiday which will help night shows tomorrow. ## The 4-day extended weekend is looking to be around 41-44 crores net which is a very good collection. Mumbai, September 29 - Director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba's "Fukrey 3" had a good opening at the domestic box office with 8.82 crores net collection upon its Thursday release. It is the biggest opening in the franchise which has been super successful at the box office.## The movie is showing a drop of around 10-15% on its second day/first Friday for an estimated 7.50 crores net collection. The drop was expected as the Thursday opening day of the movie was a partial holiday due to Eid in some states. ## The collection of the movie is strong in Delhi and UP where the previous two films have done well and the latest movie continues the trend. Box Office: Fukrey 3 and The Vaccine War Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, September 28 - Director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba's "Fukrey 3" has taken the franchise's best opening at the domestic box office. The comic caper manages to surpass the opening of "Fukrey Returns" which scored 8.10 crores net. ## "Fukrey 3" released some expectations, mainly due to the strong franchise recall value. It started on a decent note in the morning shows and witnessed some growth as the day progressed as it scored an estimated around 8.50 crores net and might go towards 9 crores. ## The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have contributed over 50% to the opening day collection of "Fukrey 3". The mass centres are not that strong though they should come in the picture over the weekend as the movie is carrying decent word of mouth. ## The second release of the day, Vivek Agnihotri's "The Vaccine War" has a low start as it scored around 1.50 crores net on opening day. The buzz for the movie died down in the last few days after generating awareness a few weeks back. ## Agnihotri's last film "The Kashmir Files" was a massive blockbuster but here, the opening of "The Vaccine War" is not even half of TKF which minted 3.55 crores net. The opening of TKF was itself not big but it went on to score over 250 crore net after managing to connect with sentiments of the audiences. The SRK-fronted movie had overall scored 543 crores net which includes approximately 17.50 crores net of Tamil and Telugu versions.## "Gadar 2", however, won't remain the highest-grossing Hindi movie for more than two days as Shah Rukh Khan's latest blockbuster "Jawan" is likely to top both the movies either today or tomorrow to claim the number 1 spot in Hindi. Mumbai, September 24 - Tamil director Atlee Kumar is on cloud nine with the once-in-a-lifetime success of the action thriller Jawan, starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan. With this movie, Atlee has also become the first Tamil director to deliver a 1000-crore grosser and this huge success is making noise outside India as well.## During a recent interview with Film Companion, Atlee revealed that he got calls from Hollywood and even a few offers to work there if he wished to. The movie has a very good second week which confirms that "Jawan" will become the biggest Bollywood movie of all time domestically in the next few days.## Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" scored a drop of around 65% for approximately 137 crores net in all versions in its second week as compared to the first 8-day extended week at the domestic box office.
