Mumbai, October 8 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and actress Sreeleela teamed up for director Anurag Basu's musical romantic drama film. The film was originally supposed to be titled Aashiqui 3, but the makers dropped the idea due to copyright issues. The movie has gone through some changes. According to the latest reports, the movie is currently being reshoot for a major portion. It is said that 10 days' worth of scenes that were already shot have been completely scrapped. Meanwhile, the film has reportedly been titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. It has been taken for the title song of the Aashiqui film. "When choosing the title, it was a pre-emptive move by the makers to avoid making a direct reference to Aashiqui. The team wanted a name that evoked nostalgia but didn't risk legal or creative complications. Tu Meri Zindagi Hai felt like the perfect fit", says the report by Mid-Day. Aashiqui has been a cult franchise, but due to creative differences between producer Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt before they parted ways, the makers can't use the same title as the film. But the makers feel that Tu Meri Zindagi Hai fits perfectly while avoiding legal complications. "It's a classic love story with Basu's signature treatment of the genre. With the release more than six months away, it gives the team time to weave in some additional tracks. The latest schedule is underway in Mumbai, and the film will be shot till 2025-end, with patchwork spilling on to early 2026", the report added. Mumbai, March 6 - Bhushan Kumar-headed T-Series and director Anurag Basu enthusiastically announced the third instalment of the popular romantic franchise Aashiqui with Kartik Aaryan in the lead role in 2022. ## Since the film's announcement, there have been many rumours regarding the film's casting and production, and finally, T-Series has issued a statement putting all rumours to rest. However, in a major disappointment to the fans of the franchise, the company has put the film on hold indefinitely. ## "T-Series wishes to clarify that we are not presently involved in the development or production of Aashiqui 3. If and when Aashiqui 3 is initiated, T-Series and Vishesh Films / Mukesh Bhatt being joint owners in the franchise shall produce it jointly only. We categorically deny any ongoing rumours suggesting that Aashiqui 3 is being produced under a different title by T- Series", read the statement.## The studio also stated that they are currently working on another film with director Anurag Basu. "Our proposed film to be directed by Anurag Basu is neither Aashiqui 3 nor part of the Aashiqui franchise. We sincerely appreciate the ongoing support and enthusiasm of our fans. Mumbai, July 4 - Kangana Ranaut production's satirical romantic comedy-drama "Tiku Weds Sheru" starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur has turned out to be a digital success upon its release on June 23 on Amazon Prime Video. ## Directed by Sai Kabir, the film tells the story of Tiku (Avneet), who looks at marriage as her escape to Mumbai from a local town to become an actress, and Sheru (Nawazuddin), who has been working as a junior artist in the city for years. They get married and the comedy of errors for this couple starts. ## The movie has so far scored 7.2 million views on Amazon Prime Video in the first 10 days. In its opening weekend (June 23 - June 25), "Tiky Weds Sheru" scored 3.4 million views and was the 4th most-watched Hindi digital title in India during the same week, according to Ormax Media. ## Despite the mixed reviews, TWS scored 3.8 million views during the week of June 26 - July 2 and was the 3rd most-watched film digitally. The total viewership currently stands at 7.2 million views which is a good result for a low-budget film.## The movie also stars Khushi Bhardwaj, Mukesh Bhatt Vipin Sharma, and Zakir Hussain, among many others in key roles.
