Hyderabad, July 4 - The Pan India blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, starring superstar Prabhas, is nearing 650 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office after the first week (7 days), surpassing the total collection of Prabhas' Salaar: Ceasefire to become his third biggest grosser. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic grossed around 31+ crores worldwide on its 7th day (first Wednesday) to take its worldwide cume to around 641 crores gross, including an estimated 468 crores gross in India and 173 crores overseas collection.## Kalki 2898 AD is within touching distance of Baahubali - The Beginning (650 crores) to become Prabhas' second biggest grosser after Baahubali 2. Mumbai, July 3 - Kalki 2898 AD finishes the first week (7 days) with 150+ crores net collection in Hindi, making it the biggest of the year for an Indian film after the solid first Wednesday at the box office with a drop of under 20% from Tuesday. ## As per the early estimates, the Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic scored 11-12 crores net collection on its 7th day, dropping around 15% from yesterday which is a regular drop. This has taken the total collection of the movie to around 152 crores with the full first week headed for around 162 crores in Hindi. ## As reported yesterday, the weekday trend of Kalki 2898 AD is almost similar to RRR and it might end up scoring more than SS Rajamouli's directorial in the long run due to not much competition for the first two weeks from the Bollywood movies. ## Including Hindi, all the versions of Kalki 2898 AD are showing a drop of around 15% for an estimated 27+ crores gross collection on its first Wednesday. Hyderabad, July 3 - Pan India superstar Prabhas, currently basking on the mega box office success of Kalki 2898 AD, is set to start the sequel of last year's success Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel amid the rumours of it getting shelved. ## Salaar Part 1 was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023 and the makers planned to commence the shoot of Salar Part 2 sooner than later to complete the story. The movie was supposed to go on floors by June this year but now, it will roll out in August. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the 20% shoot of Salaar 2 is already completed and the makers will resume it on August 10 with a 15-day schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It is said that plans to resume the filming in June were delayed due to weather and date issues. ## Prashanth Neel, meanwhile also has Jr. NTR's Dragon and the report says that the filmmaker will juggle between the shoots of the two movies. Salaar 2 will be shot for over 8 months with Dragon in 2024 and 2025, starting from August this year. The makers are planning to release the sequel by the end of 2025. ## Salaar Part 1 was released in December last year and went to gross around 618 crores at the worldwide box office. Hyderabad, July 3 - Amid the box office carnage, sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 20 million (2 crores) footfalls in India in all languages, becoming the first Indian movie of the year to do so, beating fellow industry title, Hanuman. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has scored an estimated 2.02 crores of footfalls in just 6 days in all versions. The Telugu version is leading approximately 1 crore admissions, followed by Hindi with 75 lakh. Hyderabad, July 3 - After another good day at the box office, director Nag Ashwin's mega-blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has topped 600 crores gross collection worldwide in just 6 days, becoming one of the fastest Indian movies to achieve the milestone. ## The Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted tentpole has been on a winning spree since day 1 and breaking records left, right, and centre. After reaching the milestone of 500 crores worldwide gross in the 4-day opening weekend itself, the movie showed a strong hold on Monday to go past 550 crores and kept the momentum going on Tuesday to reach the next target. ## On its 6th day, Kalki 2898 AD minted an estimated 40+ crores at the worldwide box office, including 32+ crores domestically to take its total worldwide cume to around 610 crores, including an estimated 441+ crores in India. The movie is seeing a drop of around 20% from Monday which is a good hold as Monday was stronger than expected after the extended opening weekend. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial blockbuster, on its 6th day, scored an estimated 13-14+ crores net collection in Hindi. This takes its total to 141+ crores in the dubbed version as the first full week is heading for 160+ crores net. ## The weekday trend of Kalki 2898 AD is almost similar to RRR in Hindi and it will probably be heading towards a similar finish. Mumbai, October 9 - Maverick director SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion set the benchmark for not just Telugu cinema but also in the Hindi and rest of the versions. It was the last film to sell over 5 crores tickets in Hindi. Baahubali 2 was only the second South Indian film, after Baahubali, to reach 100 crores net mark in Hindi.
