Hyderabad, October 23 - "I am no God, but not one of you either" - these words from Radhe Shyam teaser perfectly suit Prabhas at this point of his career. The Darling actor was a star since his debut in 2002, but it was SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali", that made him a 'Pan-India' star, a term which has hardly been used for any other actor in Indian cinema. ## Ever since Prabhas has tested the success with the Baahubali film series, he never looked back and now, he has become the most bankable actor in India with an ever-increasing fan base in every part of the country. His last released film and first since Baahubali 2, "Saaho" was although declared average at the box office, it grossed over Rs. 450 crores worldwide and was one of the highest-grossing Indian films worldwide in 2019. ## Such has been the confidence of the producers that they are ready to invest millions in Prabhas' name and he has delivered every time. Going forward, the superstar will be in action in the next 3-4 years with approx Rs. 1500 crores riding on him with at least five films are currently in the various stage of production. ## Here is a look into his stunning slate of upcoming Pan-India films - ## 1. Radhe Shyam - The Hindi-Telugu bilingual period romantic will be the first of Prabhas' upcoming films to hit screens. Slated to release on January 14, 2022, Radhe Shyam is touted to be a different kind of love story, set in Europe of the 1970s. Starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde as Vikramaditya and Parerna, Radhe Shyam is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and produced by T-Series and UV Creations. It will also be released in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages worldwide. ## 2. Salaar - Written and directed by the KGF fame Prashanth Neel, Salaar is a Telugu-Kannada bilingual film that is currently under production. The dark action-thriller will see Prabhas playing the title role with Shruti Haasan playing the female lead and Jagapathi Babu as antagonist Rajamanaar. It is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films [KGF] and is currently scheduled to release on April 14, 2022, in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. ## 3. Adipurush - One of the biggest if not the biggest film of Prabhas' career, Adipurush, is the feature film adaptation of Hindu epic "Ramayan", in which Prabhas plays the role of Lord Ram. The movie is currently on floors under the direction of Tanhaji fame Om Raut. Touted to be India's biggest film in terms of budget (approx. Rs. 500 crores), Adipurush also stars Kriti Sanon as Janaki/Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh/Ravan, and Sunny Singh in prominent roles. Produced by T-Series, and Retrophiles, Adipurush is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages and will be hitting worldwide screens on August 11, 2022, in multiple languages. ## 4. Project K (working title) - A sci-fi film, which is reportedly set in a futuristic timeline against the backdrop of the third world war, Project K is going to be a unique film in Prabhas' career. Director Nag Ashwin, best known for helming Keerthy Suresh's Mahanati, has come up with a stunning subject to surprise the audience. It also stars legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Project K is expected to begin regular shoot from December this year and it will take at least a year to make ready for release. ## 5. Spirit - Producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series recently announced his 4th collaboration with Prabhas for the later's landmark 25h film. The film, titled Spirit, might see Prabhas' playing a cop for the first time in his film career and it will be directed by Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It will be the first Indian film to release in 7 Indian and foreign languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Japanese, Chinese & Korean. Recently, Saif Ali Khan had wrapped up his portion as Lankesh/Raavan and now, Kriti Sanon, who plays the divine role of Sita/Janaki, also completed her part in the film that stars Prabhas as Ram/Adipurush. ## Director Om Raut took to Twitter and shared pictures with Kriti Sanon post her shoot wrap. Hyderabad, October 14 - Pan India star Prabhas has been making some huge announcements of late, surprising each and everyone with the big line-up of films. He has already done with Radhe Shyam, which is scheduled to release on January 14, 2022, and has Salaar, Adipurush, Project K, and Spirit in the pipeline. ## Prabhas has undoubtedly been one of the most bankable actors in India for the last few years. The makers of the movie unveiled the first look poster of Babu on Monday, in which, the actor is looking fierce and menacing as Rajamanaar in his salt-and-pepper avatar. ## Director Prashanth Neel shared Jagapathi's poster on Twitter and wrote, "Introducing #Rajamanaar. Hyderabad, July 29, 2021: The relentless covid-19 pandemic hardly have allowed the entertainment sector to move ahead in the last one and a half years. While the two-third of 2020 had completely vanished, the year 2021 begin on a positive note for the South Indian film industry, however, it too didn't last long because of the second covid-19 wave. The cinemas were ordered to close again, and with that, the many big stars' movies were again forced to postpone across languages. ## The pandemic has not only wiped out the release plans of the films but also has shortened the release window as there are so many films ready for their big-screen debut. While some movies have opted for direct-to-digital release, most of the others are waiting for cinemas to reopen. Since there is not much wide window available for the films to release, box office clashes are bound to happen. ## To begin with, Sankranthi 2022 seems to be the first festival to light up with the release of some of the biggest Telugu films. As things stand now, Makar Sankranti 2022 may witness a mega box office clash of Telugu biggies. Since it is the first festival of the year, makers would want to cash in the opportunity to lure the audiences which could turn out to be a box office bonanza. If reports are to be believed, there are at least 5 films that will be releasing on the Sankranthi 2022 occasion. ## Pawan Kalyan - Rana Daggubati's yet-untitled film, and Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" have already been confirmed to release on Sankranthi 2022 on January 12 and 13 respectively. Apart from these two films, Prabhas' period romantic film "Radhe Shyam" has also set January 14 release. There is buzz that Dil Raju production's "F3" will also be released around that time. ## Apart from outright Telugu films, Thalapathy Vijay's "Beast" is said to be making its debut on Pongal 2022. Interestingly, "Beast" will be Vijay's second back-to-back Pongal release after "Master" in 2021. "Master" was one of the first biggies to release in cinemas after reopening early this year, and it did wonders at the box office, earning over Rs. 150 crores net in India. There are talks that "Beast" will also be releasing in the Telugu dubbed version. ## There is no doubt that if the covid-19 pandemic remains under control, 2022 could prove to be a game-changing year for the film industry.
