Mumbai, January 13 - Telugu veteran Nandamuri Balakrishna's action drama Daaku Maharaaj exceeded expectations on its first to score over 30 crores gross at the domestic box office, proving to be the second biggest opener for the actor. ## On the second day, the film is seeing a good hold as early estimates suggest the collection in the range of 13-15 crores gross in Telugu states, dropping around 50% from Sunday. Overall, Daaku Maharaj is expected to score 15-17 crores gross collection on Monday. ## Daaku Maharaj's total domestic collection after 2 days is around 45+ crores gross, which is fantastic ahead of the long holiday Pongal period. The movie is likely to storm the box office over the next couple of days and will look to go past the 100 crores gross mark during this period. ## On the other hand, superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer has plummeted further on Monday as India gross is expected to be in the range of 10 crores gross, as per estimates. Hyderabad, January 12 - Superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer has an underwhelming first weekend at the domestic box office where the movie failed to score any growth on Sunday owing to stiff competition and mixed to negative word of mouth. ## According to the early estimates, Game Changer has minted a disappointing around 8 crore gross in Telugu states on Sunday, dropping around 35% from Saturday. In other Southern states, the movie has scored an estimated 3 crore gross. ## The Hindi version is holding well, owing to the better audience reception, and is proving to be the only saving grace for the movie so far. On Sunday, the dubbed version is witnessing a slight jump to collect an estimated 7.50-8 crores net collection. ## Overall, Game Changer is expected to gross 20-21 crores on Sunday with a drop of around 20%. Hyderabad, January 11 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer, which was released on January 10, took a good start at the domestic box office with over 60 crores gross considering the mixed word of mouth, though it failed to meet the expectations. ## On its second day (first Saturday), the Shankar's directorial venture is witnessing a drop of over 50% which is a bit harsh even by the standards of any big Telugu film which tend to drop after the opening day. The word-of-mouth effect can be seen in day 2's collection, especially in South Indian states. ## According to the early estimates, GC is expected to gross around 13-15 crores in Telugu states, dropping over 60% from the opening day. In Karnataka, the film also dropped by around 50% for an estimated 2.25 crores gross, while in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, it is expected to gross around 2-2.25 crores on the second day. ## The Hindi version of the film surprised on the first day and it remained the best-performing on Saturday with little to no drop as it minted around 7-7.50 crores net on day 2. Overall, Game Changer is expected to gross in the range of 25-28 crores on Saturday, pushing the total domestic gross to around 86+ crores in 2 days. ## The film has a big couple of days over the Sankranthi festival to score at the box office. Despite the mixed reception, the film managed to take the biggest solo opening for RC in all major areas. ## According to the early estimates, Game Changer is expected to gross around 45-50 crores in Telugu states which is a very good start. The previous biggest solo opening of RC in AP/TG was Vinaya Vidheya Rama which grossed around 33 crores back in 2019. ## In Karnataka, GC is estimated to gross 4-5 crores, followed by around 2.50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Hindi version of the film turns out to be a surprise package as it scored an estimated around 7 crore net which is the biggest for RC other than RRR. ## The overall domestic opening of the film is expected to be in the range of 60-65 crores gross. The film will need to score around 225 crores gross collection to break even in the home states.
