Sunny Deol's 'Jaat' Censor Certificate And Theatrical Runtime Revealed

Mumbai, April 9 - After the historic success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol has teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for his next film Jaat. The movie, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, is slated to hit the big screens on April 10. ## Ahead of the much-awaited release, the makers cleared the censorship formalities on April 8. The film has officially been censored with U/A (16+) by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved theatrical runtime of 2 hours and 33 minutes (153 minutes). ## As per reports, the CBFC has asked to make 22 changes, including replacing abusive words and replacing as many as 10 scenes with CGI. Due to changes, 2 minutes and 6 seconds of scenes were cut and replaced with appropriate visuals, totalling 1 minute and 37 seconds.## The official plot summary of Jaat reveals, "In a remote coastal village, ruthless criminal Varadaraja Ranatunga terrorizes the locals. A traveling stranger's chance encounter with his men uncovers the villagers' suffering. Realizing the deep-rooted corruption, he takes matters into his own hands. Mumbai, January 24 - After the historic success of Gadar 2, Bollywood star Sunny Deol teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for mass entertainer Jaat which is the director's maiden Bollywood project. Telugu giant Mythri Movie Makers produces the film with People Media Factory. ## On Friday (January 24), the makers announced the release date of this much-awaited action drama. The movie is to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the official announcement of the same was made on Wednesday, December 18. ## Announcing the film, the production house unveiled the entire main cast which includes Triptii Dimri as the female lead with Randeep Hooda and Nana Patekar in the prominent roles. The makers also confirmed that the shoot of this untitled film will start on January 6 and it will be released in theaters worldwide on December 5, 2025. ## The upcoming film marks Shahid and Vishal Bhardwaj's third film together after critically acclaimed Haider and Kaminey. The 1 minute and 13 seconds video shows glimpses of an unrecognized Randeep Hooda as social activist Veer Savarkar. ## The teaser promises to have asked tough questions, and one of them is who killed Veer Savarkar's history. Mumbai, April 22 - With exciting projects on his slate, Akshay Oberoi is going from strength to strength as he juggles multiple platforms of entertainment. Ready to offer stories that matter through his outings and digital ventures, the versatile actor remembers Syed Ahmed Afzal's Laal Rang on its sixth anniversary. Hailing it as one of the most important films of his career, Oberoi shares his experience of acting for it. ## Akshay says, "I remember being super excited to work on Laal Rang with Syed Ahmed Afzal. This special film brought the opportunity to collaborate with Randeep Hooda. I admire the infectious passion he has for his craft. In Laal Rang, I had to familiarise myself with a milieu that was unknown milieu. I loved the challenge, the script, and the treatment".## He reveals, “I was in Karnal for 60 days. I observed people's body language and tried to make it my own for Laal Rang. I wanted to embody the part that I was playing to the hilt. The awareness that I've got something different to work with kept me on my toes. It is one of the most important films of my career. I was surprised that I was offered the role".## The actor was seen in the role of a small-town guy in the action-crime-drama. Its story revolves around an impressionable Rajesh (essayed by Oberoi), who colludes with Shankar, a crook involved in trading blood illegally. The movie showcased Akshay's versatility as he lived out the role of a Haryanvi guy, who gets involved with the blood mafia. ## Akshay will be seen in Cold penned by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Vikram Bhatt and in Pawan Kripalani's Gaslight.## Stay tuned...
