Los Angeles, August 22 - Telugu star Nani's much-awaited action thriller film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is all set for a very good opening at the USA box office. The movie is directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by DVV Entertainment. ## According to Venky Box Office, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram's pre-sales for the USA premiere have crossed $100K with over 5000 tickets sold. The trend of pre-sales has been excellent so far and if it maintains this pace, the movie is expected to score Nani's highest premiere, which is scheduled on August 28.## The movie is said to be Nani's most expensive film with a budget of around 90 crore. The movie is having superb buzz among the audiences which is expected to lead to a very good start at the box office. The reports among the Telugu media are positive for the movie which could be the next Telugu box office hit. ## In the film, Surya (Nani), who fights against injustice on Saturday, locks horns with corrupt Inspector R. Dayanand (S. J. Suryah), who brutally attacks innocent people for petty reasons. Chennai, August 4 - Tamil action thriller Raayan has become the highest-grossing film for the actor Dhanush after the excellent second weekend at the worldwide box office in which it also became the actor's third 100 crores grosser.## Directed by Dhanush, Raayan has beaten the entire run of Thiruchitrambalam (117 crores worldwide gross) on its second Sunday in just 10 days. The movie is looking to score around 10 crores worldwide on Sunday, which will take its total collection to around 123 crores gross. ## Interestingly, Thiruchitrambalam became actor Dhanush's first 100 crores grosser in 2022, followed by Vaathi which grossed approximately 116 crores in 2023. Chennai, July 14 - Veteran Kamal Haasan's vigilante action thriller Indian 2, directed by S. Shankar, scored the biggest opening of 2024 for a Tamil movie at the domestic and worldwide box office by a long margin. ## The sequel to the 1996 film Indian, Indian 2 grossed an estimated 30.25 crores in India and 26 crores overseas for 56.25 crores worldwide on opening day. It has beaten Dhanush's Captain Miller, which scored approximately 14 crores on its opening day, to become the biggest Tamil opener of the year.## With the opening day collection, Indian 2 became the 6th highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024 at the domestic as well as worldwide box office, and with the second-day box office figures, it has become the third biggest grosser after Maharaja (104 crores gross approx.) and Aranmanai 4 (99 crores gross approx.) worldwide. ## Indian 2 stars Kamal Haasan, reprising his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption, leading a massive ensemble which also includes Siddharth, S. Chennai, July 13 - Veteran actor Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 has had a good opening at the worldwide box office with 56+ crores gross collection which includes 30+ crores from the domestic market, making it the second biggest start for an Indian movie of 2024. ## Directed by Shankar, Indian 2, however, got criticism for its lengthy runtime which is 3 hours and upon feedback from audiences, the makers have now decided to trim 20 minutes to make it 2 hours and 40 minutes film. The shortened version will now be played in theatres starting today. ## Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 film, Indian which was a big success. Los Angeles, July 11 - Kamal Haasan's vigilante action film Indian 2 is set for a good start at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. The pre-sales of the movie have been picking up with just a day to go before the release which is July 12. ## Apart from the domestic pre-sales, Shankar's directorial movie has managed to generate good advance sales for the North American premiere. According to Venky Box Office, the NA premiere pre-sales of Indian 2 is $650K (5.45 crores), including $580K (4.85 crores) in the USA alone after the big jump yesterday.## In the USA, Indian 2 has sold approximately 28K tickets from over 1450 shows at 484 locations for the premiere which is on tomorrow. The movie is heading for an all-time top 5 premiere day for a Tamil title and the biggest for Kamal Haasan and director Shankar. ## Meanwhile, at the Indian box office, Indian 2 has so far scored approximately 10+ crores gross pre-sales (with block seats) in all versions for the opening day. Dhanush's 'Raayan' Gets 'A' Rating From CBFC; Runtime Revealed

Chennai, July 9 - Actor and filmmaker Dhanush's second directorial venture Raayan has been censored with an 18+ rating by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for extreme display of violence, opposite of the actor's first directorial movie, Pa Paandi (2017) which was rated with a 'U' certificate. ## Raayan was censored on July 9, Tuesday, with an 'A' rating and the approved runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes (145 minutes) which is a crisp and suitable runtime for these kinds of films. Produced by Sun Pictures, the movie is scheduled to be released on July 26.## In the movie, Raayan trains himself and goes in search of the killers to avenge the death of his family, where his quest of finding the killers leads him through the criminal underworld. ## Dhanush plays the title role, leading an ensemble cast which includes S.
