Kriti Sanon's 'Mimi' Released 4 Days Before Originally Scheduled After Illegally Leaked Online

Mumbai, July 26, 2021: Kriti Sanon's first film as the solo lead, Mimi, was all set to premiere worldwide on July 30 on Netflix and Jio Cinema. However, in a major blow to the streamer and makers, the film was reportedly illegally leaked 4 days before its original scheduled date. ## As per reports, the pirated version of Jio Studios and Maddock Films' Mimi has been made available on Telegram on July 26. Aahana Kumra On Playing A Pilot Stuck In Lockdown In Madhur Bhandarkar's Next Directorial

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar recently revealed the star cast of his next directorial, India Lockdown, which is based on true events that happened during the lockdown caused by the covid-19 pandemic last year. The cast includes Sai Tamhankar, Prateik Babbar, Shweta Basu Prasad, and Aahana Kumra in prominant roles. ## Actress Aahana Kumra plays a pilot in the film. Kriti Sanon: 'Mimi' was a journey of self-discovery for me as an actor

Mumbai, March 12 (IANS) Actress Kriti Sanon says playing a surrogate mother in the upcoming film 'Mimi' was a journey of self-discovery for her as an actor.## "I had a really nice experience shooting for the film. In fact, I feel this is one of the most beautiful scripts I have read. Sometimes, it happens that certain scenes of a film look really good on paper but you are not able to execute them when you are shooting, and vice versa. But in this film that wasn't the case," said Kriti, at a promotional event on Wednesday in Mumbai.## The actress, who recently wrapped up shooting for the film, added: "If we shot this film as effectively as it looked on paper, credit goes to the whole team and especially (director) Laxman Utekar. This is my second film with him (after 'Lukka Chuppi'). We haven't explored the topic of surrogacy in our films. I like the fact that he (Utekar) has the ability to make an entertaining and humorous film out of a serious topic. I feel it is really important to do that because you are not making a documentary."## The film made Kriti realize how she can function as an actor. "Last (shooting) schedule was satisfying for me as an actor almost like a self-discovery. It made me realize how I can function as an actor. There were a lot of emotional scenes that are almost an experience when you are doing them. So, I can't wait for the audience to actually see this film because it is very close to my heart, no matter what the result is," she said.## "Mimi" is directed by Laxman Utekar and is a remake of the National Award-winning 2011 Marathi film "Mala Aai Vhhaychay!". Kriti Sanon wraps up 'Mimi'

Mumbai, March 5 (IANS) Actress Kriti Sanon has finished shooting for 'Mimi', the upcoming heroine-centric film where she essays a surrogate mother.## Kriti on Thursday took to Instagram and posted a lengthy note, thanking the crew and cast for making a "beautiful film".## "#Mimi has been such an experience!! The most satisfying schedule ever with a super passionate and hardworking cast and crew!! It's such a lovely feeling when everyone just wants to put in their best effort to make a beautiful film! #Mimi-- this one's too close to my heart," she wrote.## "Mimi" marks the return of director Laxman Utekar, who made his Bollywood directorial debut last year with the Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon hit "Luka Chuppi". Shot mainly in Jaipur, "Mimi" also features Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak. The film is a remake of Samroudhhi Porey's National Award-winning Marathi film "Mala Aai Vhhaychy!" Kriti Sanon's new tattoo causes frenzy among fans

Mumbai, March 2 (IANS) Actress Kriti Sanon gave a glimpse of her new tattoo on Instagram, leaving fans wondering about the 'something new' aspect in her life.## "The start of something new," Kriti captioned her photo, in which she sports an off-shoulder top that partially shows her tattoo.## It seems that the tattoo is a "K", the first letter of her name. She wants to keep it a mystery as she has strategically placed her top to make it look like just a "V" in the photograph.## The "Panipat" star also added the hashtag "inked" to her tattoo announcement post.## Kriti loves to update her fans with anything and everything new that's happening in her life through social media.## At the moment, she is overwhelmed to work with "Luka Chuppi" director Laxman Utekar on "Mimi".## "It's so nostalgic to be shooting with Laxman Sir and Maddock films on the day 'Luka Chuppi' released for another super special film 'Mimi'. 'Luka Chuppi' was on the subject of live-in relationship. 'Mimi' on the other hand deals with surrogacy in a unique way," Kriti said earlier.## "Mimi" narrates the story of a young aspiring actress who is a dancer in Mandawa and how she ends up being a surrogate for a couple. According to reports, Kriti has put on about 15 kilos to get into the skin of her character.## Inspired by the 2010 Marathi movie "Mala Aai Vhhaychy", "Mimi" also features actors Sai Tamhankar and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
