Hyderabad, July 12 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan is set to dominate the latter half of 2025 with two major releases - Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG. While HHVM, after multiple delays, is finally slated to hit the big screens on July 24, it is director Sujeeth's action thriller, OG, that is generating unprecedented buzz among fans and trade circles alike. ## Even before the release of HHVM and in the absence of an official teaser or trailer for OG, the film's theatrical business is already a hot topic in the industry. According to a report by Track Tollywood, multiple distributors are in discussions with DVV Entertainment to finalise the theatrical rights for the Telugu states. The makers are reportedly quoting over ₹150 crore, a record-breaking figure for any Pawan Kalyan film to date. ## Should the deal be finalised at the quoted price, OG will become only the fifth film — after RRR, Salaar, Kalki 2898 AD, and Pushpa 2 — to cross the ₹150 crore mark in theatrical business for the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). This not only marks a massive milestone in Pawan Kalyan's career but also highlights the soaring expectations surrounding the film. ## OG features Pawan Kalyan in the powerful titular role of Ojas Gambheera, a feared gangster who resurfaces in Mumbai after a decade-long disappearance to confront and eliminate a rival crime boss, Omi Bhau, played by Emraan Hashmi. Chennai, July 11 - National-award-winning actor Dhanush has kicked off his next film, tentatively called D54, with director Vignesh Raja, who is best known for his work in the superhit movie "Por Thozhil" (2023). ## The film, produced by Vels Film International, was announced on Thursday (July 10) with a traditional pooja ceremony attended by the main team, including Dhanush, producer Dr. Ishari K. It is among the 65 films to achieve the milestone of 150 crore net in the Hindi language. ## The RS Prasanna directorial scored approximately 19 crores net in the third week, dropping around 60% from the second week. The drop in collection in the third week was higher than it was in the second week (47.69%), which shows the legs are slowing down as competition is increasing. ## What is the total India net collection of Sitaare Zameen Par? ## After three weeks of running, the total India net collection of the film is around 154 crores. Los Angeles, July 11 - Director James Gunn's superhero movie Superman might top even the most optimistic box office projections after a huge start in previews at the domestic (North America) box office, thanks to the overwhelmingly positive audience reception and reviews. ## According to Deadline, the first film under James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Universe (DCU) is heading for $21+ million in overall previews domestically. The figure includes Tuesday night's Amazon Prime members screenings cash of $2.8 million, plus monies from showtimes, which began today at 2 PM on Thursday. ## Warner Bros. projected $100+ million while tracking and exhibition were spotting around $130 million 3-day opening weekend domestically. However, Deadline reports that Superman looks to be leaving all those projections in the dust and might open even higher. ## In comparison to director James Gunn's previous comic book movies, Superman has the biggest previews, besting "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3"'s $17.5 million. Mumbai, July 11 - Akshay Kumar's comedy thriller Housefull 5 has completed five weeks at the box office. Despite the mixed reception, the movie has managed to earn a decent success. It has emerged as the biggest grosser for Akshay Kumar since Sooryavanshi (2021) at the global box office. ## At one point, it looked like Housefull 5 would be able to outgross Sooryavanshi's final worldwide gross of 293 crores, but due to competition and mixed word of mouth, the pace got slow at the box office. It will finish as the second biggest grosser for the superstar in the post-pandemic world, just short of Sooryavanshi at around 290 crores. ## Nonetheless, Housefull 5 has an outside chance to beat Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra's Bajirao Mastani (184.30 crores net) and Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (184.32 crores net) at the domestic box office to enter the top 50 biggest Hindi net grosser list. The movie needs another 1 crore net to surpass these two films, which looks extremely difficult, but might get there if it manages to stay in theatres for a few more weeks on limited theatres. In terms of India gross collection, Bajirao Mastani will remain ahead as tax rates were much higher when it was released in 2015. ## How much did Housefull 5 earn at the Indian box office in 5 weeks (35 days)? ## Housefull 5 is nearing its box office journey as it earned around 35 lakh in its 5th week, a massive drop of around 85% from the last week. It has earned approximately 183.30 crores net collection (218.35 crores gross) at the domestic box office and around 289 crores worldwide after 5 weeks. ## As said, the movie will finish below the 290 crores gross mark globally, as the second biggest Bollywood grosser of the year behind Chhaava (808 crores worldwide). The actor has reportedly shot for over 50 days since he started shooting on April 30, for just the first part of the movie. ## Contrary to the rumours, Yash reportedly has a screen time in excess of one hour in Ramayana: Part One, which acts as a build-up for the battle royale for Ramayana: Part Two. Meanwhile, shooting for the first part is already completed, while the second part filming will commence in August this year. ## Nitesh Tiwari is said to be treating Ramayana: Part One in a very interesting manner, as he is giving a proper build-up with back stories to the characters of Ram and Raavan, as that would make the impact of Ramayana: Part Two even bigger. The second part will hit the big screen on Diwali 2027. ## The film is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studio in association with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Hyderabad, July 10 - A decade ago in 2015, on this same day (July 10), director SS Rajamouli's epic action drama Baahubali - The Beginning, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, was released in theatres worldwide, and changed the Indian cinema for its greater good. ## Baahubali grossed approximately 650 crores worldwide and was the second highest-grossing Indian movie at that time, behind Aamir Khan's "PK" (792 crores). 2 years later, the second part, Baahubali - The Conclusion was released in April 2017, and became much bigger blockbuster than the first part. ## The second part grossed nearly 1800 crores worldwide, but it was again finished as the second biggest-grosser, behind Aamir Khan's "Dangal" (2070 crores), which released in 2016. Now, 10 years after the first film, both films are returning to the big screen in a single epic cut. ## Earlier this year, the makers announced the re-release of Baahubali, and now, sharing more details, it has been confirmed that both Baahubali - The Beginning and Baahubali - The Conclusion will be re-released as one film, titled Baahubali - The Epic, worldwide on October 31st this year in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. ## This is probably the first time that both parts of a movie are getting re-released as a single cut, and the fans are excited to see how it works out. Los Angeles, July 10 - Director Denis Villeneuve is once again set to take the audience to Arrakis as he begins production for his much-awaited Dune 3. The final chapter of this sci-fi epic series will adapt Frank Herbert's Dune Messiah, but it hasn't taken its name as a title. ## Director Villeneuve shared a picture on social media and confirmed that the third movie has been titled Dune: Part 3. There were rumours that the upcoming film would keep the book's title as it is, but it is not the case. Instead, it follows the titling of its predecessor. ## The sequel to "Dune" (2021) and "Dune: Part Two" (2024), the film will cover the events of the 1969 novel Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert, the second novel in the Dune series. Other than the title, there were also rumours that the film would be entirely shot in IMAX, but the latest development confirms that it will have sequences filmed in IMAX, though it will not be filmed fully in the format. ## Dune: Part Three will see Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya reprising their roles as Paul Muad'Dib Atredies and Chani, and joining them from the previous films will be Jason Momoa and Florence Pugh, with Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke featuring in the cast. ## The film will be released on December 18th, 2026. ## Stay tuned...
