The film began shooting last year, and now, fans are eagerly awaiting their first look at what is being touted as one of the greatest spectacles in Indian cinema history. ## According to reports, the official announcement promo titled "Ramayana: The Introduction" will be revealed on July 3rd at a multiplex in Mumbai. The publicity team has reportedly informed media outlets of the exclusive unveiling, which will offer a first look into the world of producer Namit Malhotra's ambitious vision. ## While it's still unclear whether the film’s cast or crew will attend the event, excitement is building up, especially after news broke that the announcement promo of the movie was recently cleared by the censor board. Box Office: 'Housefull 5' 4th Weekend Collection; Nears 300 Crore Worldwide

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, June 30 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's comedy-thriller Housefull 5 is losing momentum at the domestic box office amid growing competition, as the film collected approximately 1.50 crore net collection in its fourth weekend.## Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the fifth instalment in the popular franchise has amassed around 182 crore net (217 crore gross) in India over 24 days. Despite the slowdown, the film remains the second-highest-grossing Bollywood release of 2025, trailing only Vicky Kaushal's "Chhaava". ## Globally, Housefull 5 has earned an estimated 287 crore gross, including about ₹70 crore from overseas markets. With this, it is on course to finish just below "Sooryavanshi" (₹293 crore gross) as Akshay Kumar's second-biggest worldwide hit post-COVID. ## Within the franchise, Housefull 5 stands as the second-highest grosser, behind Housefull 4 (296 crore worldwide, 2019). In Akshay Kumar's overall filmography, it is projected to be his sixth biggest grosser, following, "2.0" (744 crore), "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" (316.50 crore), "Good Newwz" (316 crore), "Housefull 4" (296 crore), and "Sooryavanshi" (293 crore). ## Despite being mounted on an estimated budget of 250 crore, Housefull 5 has managed to turn in a decent performance, although the expectations were much higher given the massive scale, ensemble cast, and brand value. However, mixed word-of-mouth has impacted its long-term legs at the box office. ## Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film features an ensemble star cast that includes, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever. ## As it heads into the final stretch of its theatrical run, Housefull 5 is likely to settle as a commercially successful, albeit underwhelming, chapter in the long-running franchise. ## Stay tuned...

James Cameron Hits Out At Christopher Nolan's Oscar-Winning Film 'Oppenheimer'; Here Is Why

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Los Angeles, June 30 - Legendary Hollywood director James Cameron has hit out at acclaimed director Christopher Nolan for his 2023 epic biographical thriller Oppenheimer, which has been hailed as one of the best films of the 21st century. The movie is based on the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist who helped develop the first nuclear weapons during World War II. ## Oppenheimer was declared the best movie at the 96th Academy Awards, in which it won 7 Oscars, including Best Picture. Cameron, however, has criticised Nolan for not depicting the aftermath of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombing, which killed over 250,000 people. While Cameron acknowledged Nolan's filmmaking, he felt disappointed that Oppenheimer didn't depict the aftermath of the atomic bombing. ## During an interview with Deadline, the "Avatar" director said, "Yeah, it's interesting what he stayed away from. Look, I love the filmmaking, but I did feel that it was a bit of a moral cop-out. Because it's not like Oppenheimer didn't know the effects. He's got one brief scene in the film where we see — and I don't like to criticise another filmmaker's film – but there's only one brief moment where he sees some charred bodies in the audience, and then the film goes on to show how it deeply moved him. But I felt that it dodged the subject". ## Meanwhile, James Cameron himself is working on a film based on the Hiroshima bombing titled Ghosts of Hiroshima, which tells the story from those on the business end of the unimaginably destructive blasts that turned Japan into a hell-scape and killed hundreds of people and much more over time as the radiation ravaged the bodies of survivors. ## While Nolan's "Oppenheimer" grossed nearly $1 billion at the global box office, Cameron feels that "Ghosts of Hiroshima" could be his lowest-grossing film because of the subject matter, as he will be showing the aftermath of the atomic bombing. Cameron's film will be based on Charles Pellegrino's book Ghosts of Hiroshima, which comes out August 5 from Blackstone Publishing and The Story Factory. ## Interestingly, "Ghosts of Hiroshima" will be Cameron's first film other than the Avatar movies since "Titanic", which was released more than 2 and a half decades ago in 1997. The filmmaker will be directing this upcoming film between the next Avatar movies. His next release, "Avatar: Fire And Ash" (Avatar 3), will debut on December 19 this year. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Sitaare Zameen Par' Scored A Good Second Weekend; Nears 200 Crore Worldwide

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, June 30 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has finally managed to score a success in nearly a decade, with his latest comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par. This is the actor's first successful film since sports drama "Dangal" (2016) as a lead hero. ## Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par had a good second weekend at the domestic box office, scoring approximately 33.50 crores net (40 crores gross), pushing total domestic cume to around 122 crores net (147 crores gross). The drop from the opening weekend (58+ crores net) is around 40%, which can be called a superb hold. ## The movie is going from strength to strength as the movie jumped solidly over the second weekend, despite the competition with new movies. This suggests that the movie has found acceptance among the movie-going audience, which should lead it to a strong finish at the Indian box office. ## While SZP is doing very well domestically, it is also seeing good business at the overseas box office, with an estimated gross of around 50 crores in 10 days so far. The worldwide cume total of the movie is around 198 crores gross, and it will be topping the 200 crores mark on its 11th day. ## Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, SZP is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film "Champions". It follows a suspended basketball coach who must serve community service by helping a team of players with disabilities prepare for a tournament. Genelia D'Souza plays the female lead role. ## Stay tuned...

'Hera Pheri 3' Is Back On Track As Paresh Rawal Confirms Re-Entry

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, June 29 - The drama around the hugely anticipated comic caper Hera Pheri 3 continues to unfold. The movie has been in the news for the past couple of years for various reasons. One of the biggest reasons the movie has been in media headlines is the suspense over Paresh Rawal, who is an integral part of this iconic franchise. ## Earlier this year, the movie was confirmed to go on the floors soon, and everyone was excited for the same. However, just when things were looking all good, Paresh Rawal dropped a bomb by announcing his exit from the film, leaving everyone, including fans, hugely disappointed. ## The sudden exit of Paresh Rawal left the makers with no choice but to file a lawsuit against the actor for all the alleged losses incurred due to him. Beyond this legal battle, it was the fans who felt disheartened with the fact that the movie might not be made in the absence of Rawal. ## And just when fans were becoming hopeless, the veteran actor dropped a bomb again, this time to the delight of the fans. During a recent podcast at The Himanshu Mehta Show, Rawal confirmed that all the issues he has had with the Hera Pheri 3 makers have been resolved. ## The actor seemingly revealed the reason behind his exit earlier, as he said that he doesn't want to do the movie just because of the huge hype around it. "There's no controversy. I believe that when people love something so much, then you have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility toward the audience. The audience has given you so much adulation. You can't take things for granted", he said. ## He added, "So, I was of the opinion that sab saath mein aaye, mehnat karein. Aur kuch nahin. It is all resolved now". ## Paresh Rawal went on to add that Hera Pheri 3 will 100% be made and return to the big screen. "It was happening earlier also, but it's just that we had to fine-tune ourselves (laughs). After all, all of them are creative, be it Priyadarshan, Akshay or Suniel. They are friends for many, many, many years", he added. ## The franchise features Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in the leading roles. Now, the fans are eager for this iconic trio on the big screen soon. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal will next be seen together in horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, who will also be directing Hera Pheri 3. Bhooth Bangla will be released in April 2026. ## Stay tuned...

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, June 29 - Superstar Aamir Khan's comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par has topped 100 crores net collection, becoming the 6th Bollywood movie of the year to do so. The movie achieved the milestone on its 9th day. ## Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par has earned approximately 109 crores net in 9 days. It is the 7th movie of Aamir Khan and his first in 7 years to enter the 100 crores net. The actor's last movie to hit the milestone was Thugs of Hindostan. ## Sitaare Zameen Par is overall 131st movie in Hindi to cross 100 crores net collection. Interestingly, it was Aamir Khan's Ghajini, directed by A R Murugadoss, which was the first Indian movie to hit the hundred crore net milestone in 2008. ## Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, SZP has grossed approximately 165 crores, which makes it the 5th highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year. It will be crossing Salman Khan's Sikandar (185 crores gross) in the next couple of days to become the 4th biggest grosser. ## Stay tuned...

'Kannappa' Makers' Silly Claim After First Day Box Office Business

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Hyderabad, June 28 - It might be a marketing gimmick, the makers declared actor Vishnu Manchu's divotational film Kannappa as an industry hit, only after the first day. This is the first instance when the makers of any film have declared their movie an industry hit, after the opening day itself. ## While the intention behind such a gimmick is unclear, it is probably the silliest thing to do, as in reality, Kannappa will fall way short of the box office mark, which is required to become an industry hit. It is basically a self-trolling act by the Kannappa team, which is strange to even think about. ## As for the box office collection, Kannappa opened to around 11 crores gross at the Indian box office and around 13 crores gross at the worldwide box office. This collection, however, is good for a Vishnu Manchu film. It is, in fact, the biggest opening for the actor. ## The presence of superstar Prabhas played a huge role in the opening of Kannappa, as any sort of buzz the movie was able to generate before the release was due to Prabhas, who played a cameo role alongside Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal. It needs to be seen how the movie fares in the coming days, which are crucial for the film's success. ## #Kannappa emerges as an Industry Hit 💥An unstoppable saga of faith and power now ruling the silver screen! The divine has spoken — audiences have blessed it! 🙏🎟️ Book Now: https://t.co/r9X3mxOcKEHar Har Mahadev 🔱Har Ghar Mahadev 🔥#KannappaInCinemas #KannappaMovie… pic.twitter.com/4VlWzV2drA— 24 Frames Factory (@24FramesFactory) June 28, 2025 ## Stay tuned...

'Coolie' Makers Change The Title In Hindi After Trolling

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Chennai, June 27 - Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Coolie with director Lokesh Kanagaraj is easily among the most-anticipated films of the year. It is, in fact, one of the rare Tamil films which is carrying a decent buzz in Hindi markets, thanks to the presence of superstar Aamir Khan. ## The title of the movie as Coolie was gaining a lot of attantion in Hindi market, but, in a strange move, the makers recently renamed the film as Majdoor, in a hope to cater a large section of the audience in North India. This movie, however, backfired as it sparked criticism and trolling from northern audiences. ## Many people felt that the Majdoor title lacks the mass appeal that the original title has. People even started trolling the makers for coming up with such a title, which gave the impression of a normal dubbed South Indian movie and not treating it as a proper Pan India film despite the huge potential. ## The criticism and trolling worked as a much-needed feedback for the makers who have now changed the Hindi version's title to Coolie The Powerhouse. It is said that the makers couldn't use the title as Coolie in Hindi as it is also the title of Amitabh Bachchan's iconic film. ## Coolie is produced by Sun Pictures, and it also stars Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Hassan, and Soubin Shahir in key roles. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on August 14 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. ## Stay tuned...

Odia Cinema's Biggest Blockbuster: 'Bou Buttu Bhuta' Crosses 10 Cr India Net

BY SACNILK TEAM

Bhubaneswar, June 27 – Director Jagdish Mishra's suspense-horror drama Bou Buttu Bhuta, starring Babushaan Mohanty and Archita Sahu, has created history at the box office by becoming the first-ever Odia-language film to cross 10 crores net collection. This remarkable feat cements its position as the highest-grossing Odia film of all time. ## Released on June 12 during the Raja festival, Bou Buttu Bhuta has witnessed a phenomenal run at the box office, driven by strong word of mouth and consistent audience turnout across Odisha. The film opened to packed theatres and has maintained a steady trend even during weekdays — a rarity in regional cinema. ## On its 15th day, the movie officially crossed the 10 crore net mark, becoming a landmark moment for the Odia film industry. The worldwide gross now stands at around 12 crores. ## Bou Buttu Bhuta is the first Odia film to enter the 10 crore club, surpassing earlier record holders like Daman and Karma. The film was made on a modest budget of 2–3 crores, making its returns even more impressive, with profits reportedly exceeding 300%. ## This also marks a major milestone for lead actor Babushaan Mohanty, who has achieved his biggest commercial success to date. For director Jagdish Mishra and producer Tripti Satapathy, this film not only breaks box office records but also raises the bar for future Odia productions in terms of storytelling, production quality, and audience connect. ## The film's success comes at a crucial time for the Odia film industry, which has been struggling with declining footfalls and limited nationwide reach. Bou Buttu Bhuta has proven that compelling local stories, when executed well, can generate massive box office returns and reignite public interest in regional cinema. ## Stay tuned for more updates on its lifetime run and potential expansions beyond Odisha. ## Stay tuned...
