Salman Khan Locks His Next Film After 'Sikandar'

BY SACNILK TEAM

Mumbai, May 17 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has locked his next film after the recently released Sikandar, which underperformed at the box office. The actor has been in talks with multiple directors, including Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar, but he has prioritised Apoorva Lakhia's army-based film. ## There have been reports that Salma and Apoorva will team up for the first time for a film about the Galwan Valley clash between India and China. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the film is based on the novel India's Most Fearless 3, set against the backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley Conflict. ## "Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan are all set to start shooting for the film from July 2025. It will be shot in Ladakh and Mumbai, over a period of 70 days. It features Salman Khan as an army officer in a full-fledged film for the first time in his career, and he will be joined by 3 other actors from the younger generation", says that report.## Apart from Lakhiya, Salman Khan is also discussing a film with director Kabir Khan, who previously collaborated with the Sultan star for Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight (2017). However, despite Salman's willingness, the duo's 4th collaboration won't be Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. ## "Kabir Khan is against sequels, and doesn’t want to touch a classic like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He has pitched an original, larger-than-life drama to Salman, and the actor is considering that as a follow-up to Apoorva Lakhia, but nothing is confirmed at the moment", the report further stated. ## Stay tuned...

'Thudarum' Beats 'Empuraan' To Emerge The Second Biggest Malayalam Grosser At The Domestic Box Office

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Kochi, May 16 - Superstar Mohanlal has outdone himself to reign supreme at the box office as his latest sensation Thudarum has outgrossed his recent blockbuster L2: Empuraan to emerge as the second biggest Malayalam grosser domestically. ## Directed by Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum has grossed approximately 125 crores at the Indian box office in 21 days so far, outgrossing the entire domestic run of Empuraan (124.50 crores approx) to emerge as the number 2 grosser. Manjummel Boys remains the number 1 with 167.50 crores gross in India. ## Thudarum had earlier become the first movie ever to top 100 crore gross collection in Kerala state. It has been a one-horse race ever since it was released on April 25. The consistently strong day-wise performance of the movie took it past 200 crores worldwide as the third Malayalam title to achieve the feat after Empuraan (267 crores) and Manjummel Boys (241 crores), and the second fastest to do so. ## In 21 days, the movie has minted approximately 215 crores worldwide, including around 90 crores at the overseas box office. It is expected to pick up again this weekend as it seems to be heading towards becoming the second biggest Mollywood grosser and might be number 1 if it maintains the consistency. ## Stay tuned...
