Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 'Kushi' Worldwide Pre-Release Business Details Revealed

Hyderabad, August 19 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu coming together for the romantic drama film "Kushi". Directed by "Majili" fame Shiva Nirvana, the movie is scheduled to release on September 1st in multiple languages, including Hindi.## "Kushi" is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies which is carrying good buzz among the fans as well as the trade. According to T2BLive.Com, the movie has done a pre-release theatrical business of 52.50 crores which is one of the highest for a mid-range Telugu movie.## The total Andhra Pradesh and Telangana theatrical rights have been sold at approximately 41 crores, including 15 crores for Nizam and 6 crore for Ceeded area. The ROI rights are said to be around 4.50 crores while overseas business is 7 crores. The movie will need to score around 53 crores worldwide share to break-even and emerge as a clean hit.## Interestingly, the theatrical rights of Vijay Deverakonda's last movie "Liger" were sold at a whopping approx. 89 crores worldwide, but the movie turned out to be a huge disaster at the box office. "Liger" has clearly affected the business of "Kushi", however, it is still good enough for a tier-2 hero. ## The movie is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and it revolves around Viplav (VD), an employee of the state-run telecom company BSNL, while Aradhya (Samantha) is a corporate professional working in iLabs Centre. Megha Akash to play female lead in Vijay Milton's 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan'

Chennai, Dec 25 (IANS) Actress Megha Akash will play the female lead in director Vijay Milton's much-awaited action thriller 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan', which has actor Vijay Antony playing the lead. ## Interestingly, the makers have now made it clear that 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan' will actually be a sequel to Vijay Antony's super hit film 'Salim'. ## The action-entertainer, which its makers are claiming to be the first-ever Tamil movie to be extensively shot in Daman-Diu, is to hit screens in the middle of 2022. ## Apart from Vijay Antony, Sarath Kumar will be seen playing an important character in the film. Two Kannada actors, Dhananjaya and Pruthvi Ambar, will be making their debut in Tamil cinema with this film, which also features Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Thalaivaasal Vijay, Surender Thakur and Praniti. ## Sources close to the unit of the film say that it will feature some mind-boggling action sequences. Vijay Antony, who is known to play characters that have limited dialogues, will again be seen essaying such a character in this film. ## Apart from writing and directing the film, Vijay Milton has handled the cinematography for 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan'. Telugu Film Nani's Gang Leader Set To Be Remade In Hindi

Mumbai, September 23: Bollywood filmmakers may be facing criticism for going after remakes of regional movies, but their love affair with remakes seems unending. With over 30 South film remakes already in the various stages of production, Bollywood filmmakers are continuously adding more and more films to this list and proving the critics right that they lack originality and are widely dependent on remakes. ## Speaking about the latest soon-to-be remade in Hindi, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan's Tamil blockbuster "96" was recently confirmed to be remade in Hindi by "Attack" producer Ajay Kapoor and now, there are reports that Nani's one of the most loved Telugu movie "Gang Leader" is also ready for Bollywood makeover. ## According to Peepingmoon, producer Akshai Puri of 12th Street Entertainment has bought the rights to this 2019 Telugu comedy thriller directed by Vikram Kumar. He said to have got the remake rights just last week and will soon set up a team of writers to adapt the screenplay to suit it with Hindi audiences. ## Even before the reports of the Hindi remake of "Gang Leader" came out, this Nani starrer was in news recently after a rumored plot line of Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's film emerged on social media. Speculations started doing rounds regarding the similarity between two films after a web portal claimed that "Atlee film will be a massive revenge action-entertainer that will have Shah Rukh Khan assembling a team of women, who wanted to seek revenge for their past, to rob something untouchable". ## While it's true that SRK-Atlee's much-anticipated Pan-India offering is a robbery drama, it has nothing to do with Nani's Gang Leader as the film's remake rights are with Akshai Puri. "Gang Leader" revolves around five women who seek the help of a budding crime novelist (played by Nani) to avenge the death of their loved ones. It also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Lakshmi, Saranya Ponvannan, Shriya Kontham, Praanya P. Rao, and Kartikeya Gummakonda. ## Stay tuned...

Suriya 40 First Look: Suriya's Film With Director Pandiraj Titled 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan'

Chennai, July 22, 2021: Ahead of Tamil superstar Suriya's 46th birthday, the makers of his next film with director Pandiraj have unveiled the title and first look poster. The movie, titled "Etharkkum Thunindhavan", is the 40th film of Suriya's career and it is produced by Kalanithi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures. ## Sun Pictures took to Twitter and revealed the title and first look of Suriya40. Etharkkum Thunindhavan is currently on floors and will be wrapped soon. Have a look at the first look motion poster of Suriya 40 below. ## ## The movie also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, and Ilavarasu in prominant roles. D Imman has composed the music which marks his first assignment with Suriya. Rathnavelu has been roped in as the cinematographer.## Etharkkum Thunindhavan marks Suriya's 3rd collaboration with Pandiraj. He had earlier done a cameo in Pandiraj's film Kadaikutty Singam and later he even produced the director's Pasanga 2: Haiku. However, it is the first time the actor is playing a complete role in the director's film. ## Apart from Suriya 40, Suriya will also be seen next in "Vaadivaasal" directed by Vetrimaaran. The title logo of Vaadivaasal was unveiled on July 16. Vaadivasal is a place in Madurai district, Tamil Nadu, where Jallikattu is celebrated with much fanfare by visitors from the state as well as the country.
