Godfather Review: Moviegoers React To Megastar Chiranjeevi's Political Action Thriller

Hyderabad, October 5 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's much-awaited political action thriller film Godfather is finally out in theaters. Directed by Mohan Raja, the movie is the official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer with some changes in the script. ## "Godfather" marks Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's Telugu debut. He is playing an extended cameo role, stepping into the shoes of Prithviraj Sukumaran from the original movie. Nayanthara plays the female lead along with Puri Jagannadh, Satyadev Kancharana, Murali Sharma, and Samuthirakani, among others in key roles. ## The official plot of the film says, "After the death of Andhra Pradesh's C.M P.K.R, Brahma, a mysterious and dangerous man, who is also nicknamed as Godfather, learns that P.K.R's son-in-law, Jaidev, is planning to smuggle narcotics in Hyderabad. Brahma opposes this and becomes an obstacle to Jaidev, who plans to eliminate him. Megastar Chiranjeevi And Salman Khan's 'Godfather' Pre-Release Business Details

Hyderabad, October 3 - Megastar Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan's political action drama film Godfather is getting ready for its worldwide release on October 5 on the occasion of Dussehra. Directed by Mohan Raja, "Godfather" is the official remake of the 2019 Malayalam film "Lucifer". ## Chiranjeevi's last film "Acharya" was bombed at the box office and caused heavy losses to the distributors. This time, the investors haven't gone too far in grabbing the theatrical rights of "Godfather", and as a result, it is the lowest valued Chiranjeevi film in recent years. ## According to the latest Telugu trade reports, "Godfather" pre-release worldwide theatrical business has been valued at Rs. 91 crores. "Acharya" was valued at Rs. 131 crores while "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy" fetched Rs. 187 crores before release. ## Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana area business of "Godfather" has been valued at Rs. 70.50 crores while Karnataka state and overseas rights have been valued at approx. Rs. 6.50 crores and Rs. 7.50 crores, respectively. The movie will also be released in Hindi and the business for the same along with the rest of India has been valued at 6.50 crores. The movie will reportedly need Rs. 92 crores to be deemed a hit at the box office. ## Chiranjeevi plays the title role in the movie while Salman will feature in an extended cameo in his Telugu debut film. Megastar Chiranjeevi And Salman Khan's 'Godfather' Post-Theatrical Streaming Rights Sold To Netflix For Mega Price?

Hyderabad, September 20 - Megastar Chiranjeevi is getting ready for the worldwide release of his political action drama film Godfather, which also stars Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Nayanthara in key roles. The makers have been slow regarding the promotion of the movie so far, but now looking to speed up and non-stop promotion till the release day which is on October 5. ## According to reports, the producers will release the film on their own as distributors reportedly refused to release it at the price quoted by the makers. Chiranjeevi's last film Acharya caused huge losses for the investors and now, they don't want to take risks by grabbing the movie at a high price.## Meanwhile, the makers have been able to fetch a huge deal for the film's post-theatrical streaming rights. Hyderabad, September 15 - After the debacle box office performance of Acharya, Megastar Chiranjeevi is gearing up for the release of his next, titled Godfather. The remake of the Malayalam movie "Lucifer", the upcoming film also stars Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Nayanthara in key roles. ## According to the latest reports, "Godfather" will be released by the producers themselves as Chiranjeevi has reportedly prevented them to sell the distribution rights of the movie for both domestic and overseas markets. ## "Godfather" is produced by RB Choudary and NV Prasad while the presenter is Konidela Productions banner. According to greatandhra.com, Chiranjeevi has advised the producers not to sell the film at higher prices but only release it against advances. South Indian Actors Nassar And Satyadev Kancharana To Join The Cast of Akshay Kumar Led 'Ram Setu'; Shoot To Resume In June

Mumbai, May 27, 2021: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will once again go back to his busy routine once the lockdown restrictions end in the Maharasthra state. ## As soon as the lockdown is lifted and shots allowed, the first movie to begin production of Akshay will his ambitious, Ram Setu, which also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez as the female lead. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Ram Setu is an epic mythological adventure film. ## The filming of Ram Setu had already begun in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh towards the end of March this year before the deadly second wave of the covid-19 pandemic hit the country. However, things are stabilizing slowly as cases going down. According to reports, the makers are planning to resume the shoot of Ram Setu around June 20 with the hope that the second wave will die down by then. ## Meanwhile, South Indian actors, Nassar and Satyadev Kancharana, known professionally as Satya Dev have said to be been roped in to play key roles in the film. This will be the second film together for Akshay and veteran Nassar after Rowdy Rathore, while Satya Dev will be sharing screen space with AK for the first time. ## Akshay Kumar plays the role of an archaeologist, who is on the mission to prove if Ram Setu - a mythical bridge between ancient India and Sri Lanka, is a myth or reality.
