'Dhadak 2' Gets A New Release Date

Mumbai, May 26 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in association with Zee Studios, has announced the new release date of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri-fronted Dhadak, which is the sequel to 2018's Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. ## On Monday (May 26), the studio took to social media to drop the first look poster, confirming that the movie will hit the big screen on August 1 this year. In one of the posters, Siddhant is seen with fire in his eyes, embracing Triptii in a protective grip. The second poster presents a close-up of Triptii’s character, her expression tender yet resolved as she clings to the man she loves. ## The tagline in the posters reads, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna", which translates to, "If you ever have to choose between dying or fighting, then choose to fight", which reflects the film's tone and theme. ## Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is said to be the remake of 2018's Tamil movie, Pariyerum Perumal. Dharma Productions 'Dhadak 2' Release Date Postponed

Mumbai, October 14 - Dharma Productions' love story drama Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri has reportedly been postponed to the next year. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the movie is a spiritual sequel to Dhadak (2018), starring Ishaan Khatter, and Janhvi Kapoor. ## Dhadak 2, which is said to be a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal (2018), was announced on November 22, 2024, release. According to Bollywood Hungama, it has now been postponed and the producers are looking at releasing the film on February 21, 2025.## Subject to the official announcement, Dhadak 2 will clash with Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 which is already confirmed for February 21, 2025, release. Tripti Dimri's birthday falls on February 23, so it will be a birthday treat if the movie is officially confirmed for a February 21 release.## The original movie, Pariyerum Perumal follows a law student from a lower caste who begins a friendship with his classmate, a girl who belongs to a higher caste, and the men in her family start giving him trouble over this. Dharma Productions Announces 'Dhadak 2'; Sets Official Release Date

Mumbai, May 27 - Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has teamed up with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures to announce the sequel of 2018's romantic thriller Dhadak. Directed by Shazia Iqbal in her directorial debut, Dhadak stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the leading roles. ## The official announcement of the movie was made on May 27 with a video which shows that Dhadak 2 is a story about a boy and a girl who fall in love but due to the difference their cast, they have to fight the society to love together. ## The makers have also confirmed that Dhadak 2 will be hitting theaters on November 22, 2024. ## कैसे मिलेंगे - आग और पानी? Mumbai, January 3 - Netflix released its weekly viewership chart and Zack Snyder's sci-fi epic Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire stayed on top for the second week in a row worldwide by a huge margin. ## The over $160 million budgeted flick, despite the poor reviews, has crossed 50 million views and over 100 million viewing hours in the first 10 days. After debuting at number 1 with 54.1 million viewing hours from 23.9 million views, the movie scored 77 million viewing hours from 34 million views in the week of December 25 - December 31, 2023. ## The total viewership of "Rebel Moon" is 131.1 million viewing hours from 57.9 million views in the first 10 days. The numbers are good considering the poor reviews from critics at 24% and the average response from audiences at 60% on Rotten Tomatoes.## Starring Sofia Boutella, the film is set in a fictional galaxy ruled by the imperialistic Motherworld, whose military, the Imperium, threatens a farming colony on the moon of Veldt. Kora, a former Imperium soldier, ventures on a quest to recruit warriors from across the galaxy to make a stand against the Imperium before they return to Veldt. ## Meanwhile, the coming-of-age Bollywood drama film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan debuted at number 4 in the non-English category with 6.3 million viewing hours from 2.8 million views in its first weekend. Mumbai, April 17 - A sequel to Dharma Productions' hit romantic film Dhadak is reportedly in the works with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead. It will be directed by debutante Shazia Iqbal, who has been working as a Production Designer for thirteen years in the Indian Film & Advertising Industry. ## Directed by Shashank Khaitan, "Dhadak", which was a remake of the Marathi movie "Sairat", was released in 2018 and marked the debut of Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor.
