Bhooth Bangla has solidified its status as a commercial success, wrapping its second weekend with a strong 29.00 crore nett in India. The Akshay Kumar-starrer showed a definitive upward trend, collecting 12.50 crore on its tenth day—a 16.3 per cent jump from Saturday's 10.75 crore. This performance has pushed the film’s 10-day domestic total to 113.40 crore, while its worldwide gross now stands at 179.48 crore. The film effectively capitalized on the second weekend surge, maintaining steady momentum through a high show count of 9,498 shows and proving that the horror-comedy brand has sustained its grip despite facing fresh competition from new releases.
The performance of Bhooth Bangla in national chains highlights a significant surge in family audience footfalls. On Sunday, the film recorded 57,000 tickets sold across Naiotnal chains, up from 16,000 on Friday. However, the new release Michael managed to outpace the horror-comedy in terms of sheer volume in these chains, selling 60,000 tickets on Sunday. The film actually initiated its theatrical run with a Day 0 preview collection of 1.70 crore from 1,006 shows, recording a healthy 13 per cent occupancy. This early interest set the stage for its 14.80 crore opening weekend, with the national chains showing a significant build-up from 2,000 shows on Friday to 2,200 shows by Sunday.Michael had a steady opening weekend, starting with 3.70 crore on Friday, growing to 5.25 crore on Saturday, and 5.85 crore on Sunday, taking its three-day total to 14.80 crore nett. While Bhooth Bangla leads the overall charts due to its established momentum, Michael has shown a healthy 58 per cent growth from its opening day to Sunday, indicating a positive initial reception.

The long-running juggernaut Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has wrapped its thirty-ninth day with a worldwide gross of 1,777.52 crore. On its sixth Sunday, the film collected 3.40 crore nett (3.25 crore from the Hindi version), maintaining an incredible 11.24 per cent occupancy in national chains despite being in its sixth week. The film has now sold 1.79 crore tickets on BookMyShow, with 51,940 tickets sold on Sunday alone. While the sequel has been a massive global grosser, a look at the 6th weekend ticket sales on BookMyShow shows a shift in late-run volume; the original Dhurandhar had moved 284K tickets in its sixth weekend, whereas Dhurandhar 2 has moved 157K tickets, indicating that while the sequel has higher financial peaks, the original had a slightly higher volume of footfalls at the same stage.It currently needs approximately 10.50 crore more to beat the 1,788.06 crore lifetime global total of Baahubali 2. Given the current pace, the film is expected to bridge this gap and become the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time by the end of its sixth week or early in the seventh weekend.
Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam also witnessed a notable jump in its third weekend, collecting 1.85 crore on Sunday, a 23.3 per cent growth from Saturday's 1.50 crore. This brings its 17-day total India net to 20.44 crore. The film's occupancy in National chains rose from 11.00 per cent on Friday to 18.00 per cent on Sunday, indicating a steady interest from its niche audience.The film faced surprising competition in national chains from Hollywood and niche titles on Sunday, as Project Hail Mary recorded a high 19.00 per cent occupancy. Despite this crunch in urban screens, Bharathanatyam 2 managed to sell 49.63K tickets on BookMyShow in the last 24 hours alone, bringing its platform total to 742.08K tickets. Basically, the weekend has been sorted for the established hits, While the weekend has consolidated the massive run of Dhurandhar 2, Michael has found a decent opening window. The upcoming weekday holds will be the real test for Michael's sustainability, whereas Dhurandhar 2 is already cruising toward historical milestones as a highly profitable venture.
