Hyderabad, February 5 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the Telugu cinema for spreading the Indian culture beyond boundaries. PM Modi was addressing the public after inaugurating a 216-foot tall "Statue of Equality" in Hyderabad, honoring the 11th-century Hindu saint Ramanujacharya.## During his address to the public, the PM spoke highly about Telugu cinema and its impact on the audience. In his long speech, the PM said that Telugu cinema has become inspirational for all the way it has showcased the Indian culture not only in India but also at the global level. ## "Today, the Telugu film industry shining bright in its all glory. This industry is not just confined to the places where Telugu is spoken, but it has expanded globally. From the silver screen to the OTT platforms, the creativity of Telugu cinema has become a talking point. Hyderabad, Dec 31 (IANS) The grand finale of the reality show 'Bigg Boss Season 5' garnered decent ratings on TRP, although it fell short of the previous season's finale, according to reports. ## The ratings of the four-and-a-half-hour-long episode are out. According to BARC, Star MAA has got 18.4 (SD+HD) TVR Ratings for the Grand finale. ## While the TRP ratings indicate some impressive numbers in the Urban category, the grand finale of 'Bigg Boss Telugu 5', as indicated by the TRP chart, doesn't draw higher ratings than those of seasons 3 and 4. ## India's top stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor appeared in the show's grand finale along with director SS Rajamouli and the 'Brahmastra' team. ## Also, the 'Pushpa' team- Rashmilka Mandanna, Devi Sri Prasad, and Sukumar were present to promote their movie, as well as take the show forward. ## The event had Nani and his 'Shyam Singha Roy' co-actors Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty as well. Hyderabad, Dec 28 (IANS) Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has opened up with his views on south Indian cinema, especially Telugu movies, in a discussion on what a pan-Indian film is all about. ## Karan admits that even Hindi movies are not doing as much business as Telugu films in recent times. He even cites an example, taking Allu Arjun's recently released movie 'Pushpa' to explain the commercial stamina of Telugu movies. ## "With no promotions at all, Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' was released with just a few posters and the trailer. Even though Allu Arjun is not known in the north, the movie made a lot of money at the box-office. Can you imagine the scenario? Now, this is called the 'pan-India craze'," the Bollywood director said. ## Karan opined that the whole terminology of a 'pan-Indian film' started with S.S. Rajamouli's 'Baahubali'. He said 'Baahubali 1' had done business of Rs 112 crore, whereas Rajamouli's previous film 'Makki' made just Rs 1 crore in the Hindi belt. ## Karan also predicted that Rajamouli's upcoming magnum opus 'RRR' is going to be one of the biggest openers and might collect Rs 30 crore on the first day of its Hindi version alone in India. ##

Mumbai, December 24 - The long and most anticipated Tamil movie "Valimai" starring Thala Ajith is gearing up for the Pongal 2022 release in theaters worldwide. It has now come to the light that this action thriller will also be released in the dubbed versions of Hindi and Telugu. ## Directed by H Vinoth, "Valimai" becomes Ajith Kumar's debut in Hindi as the main character. Earlier, he played the cameo role in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Aśoka" (2001).
