Mumbai, May 26 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in association with Zee Studios, has announced the new release date of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri-fronted Dhadak, which is the sequel to 2018's Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. ## On Monday (May 26), the studio took to social media to drop the first look poster, confirming that the movie will hit the big screen on August 1 this year. In one of the posters, Siddhant is seen with fire in his eyes, embracing Triptii in a protective grip. The second poster presents a close-up of Triptii’s character, her expression tender yet resolved as she clings to the man she loves. ## The tagline in the posters reads, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna", which translates to, "If you ever have to choose between dying or fighting, then choose to fight", which reflects the film's tone and theme. ## Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is said to be the remake of 2018's Tamil movie, Pariyerum Perumal. Hyderabad, May 26 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to keep the 'A'-rated (18+) tone for his upcoming film Spirit, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas and actress Tripti Dimri. The movie was earlier supposed to feature Deepika Padukone as the female lead, but she has now been replaced by Tripti. ## Sandeep Vanga has directed 3 films so far, and all of them were A-rated. With Spirit, the maverick filmmaker is not going to change his style, and has reportedly conveyed the same to the lead pair. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the cop action thriller will be a quintessential Telugu entertainer, but the director is bringing a twist to the genre by spinning in an A-rated twist. "Apart from the use of ample blood in the action scenes, Spirit will also boast a lot of bold sequences featuring the two leads", says the report. ## The report further states that SRV has conveyed the requirement of shooting bold scenes to both Prabhas and Tripti, and they have agreed to the same. Particularly for Tripti, the director has promised a comfortable and professional atmosphere on the sets amidst the shoot. ## In another big news, Pinkvilla confirmed in its report that the makers are in advanced talks with Ma Dong Seok (Don Lee) to play a key role, and the formalities are being figured out at the moment. Mumbai, May 26 - Warner Bros. Pictures' supernatural horror thriller Final Destination Bloodlines has emerged as a success story and topped 50 crore gross at the Indian box office, becoming only the second Hollywood film of the year to do so. ## Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, the film has surprised the trade since day 1 with its superb collection. It grossed approximately 39 crores in the first 8-day week. It remained solid in the second weekend to gross around 12.50 crores, for around 51.50 crores gross ($6+ million) in 11 days in India. ## As said, it is the second-highest-grossing Hollywood movie of 2025, behind just Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, which has grossed around 85 crores in 9 days so far. Bloodlines, however, was less expected to perform well, but it has done really well to surpass expectations. ## At the worldwide box office, Final Destination has minted around $187 million, including $94.5 million in North America and $92.5 million at the overseas box office. Mumbai, October 28 - Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur's romantic action drama Dacoit - Ek Prem Katha has been postponed from the Christmas 2025 release. The film is directed by Shaneil Deo and also stars Anurag Kashyap in a prominent role. On Tuesday (October 28), the makers unveiled a new poster of the movie and also confirmed that it will now hit the big screen on March 19, 2026, in Hindi and Telugu. The poster features Sesh and Thakur in an intense look, which promises an action-packed ride revolving around two ex-lovers. Dacoit is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Hyderabad, May 26 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's fantasy action comedy Khaleja is creating a stir in the advance booking for its re-release, scheduled on May 30. ## The movie, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, is carrying tremendous buzz across social media platforms, and the same can be seen in the historic response to the pre-sales, which is among the highest for a re-release title in India. ## In the first 2 days of the opening of advance booking, Khaleja has sold over 105K tickets on the online ticketing platform, Book My Show and final sales might be 200K+. Mumbai, May 26 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise takes Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning to new heights at the domestic and worldwide box office. The film has shattered the franchise record to emerge as the biggest opener. ## Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, The Final Reckoning flew to a franchise best domestically (North America), internationally and globally, with $63 million, $127 million, and $190 million, through Sunday. The worldwide debut is $204 million, which includes the US Monday holiday estimates. ## The Friday to Sunday domestic total of $63 million is the biggest for the MI franchise, beating Fallout's previous franchise 3-day weekend record of $61.2 million. Interestingly, The Final Reckoning is said to be the final movie of the franchise. ## The biggest contributor to the latest blockbuster outside the domestic market is Korea, where the movie has grossed $12.7 million so far. In India, MI8 has done very well and grossed around $10 million (85 crore) in 9 days as the 4th biggest overseas market for the movie. ## It will be interesting to see whether Final Reckoning can beat the lifetime gross of 131 crores of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, which is also the highest-grossing movie of Tom Cruise in India. Mumbai, May 25 - The countdown has begun for superstar Akshay Kumar-fronted Housefull 5, which releases on June 6. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the comedy mystery thriller is one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of the year, and the makers have kept a twist in the tale. ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, the producers have submitted two different versions of the comic caper to CBFC. It is a one-of-its-kind comic thriller, and to keep the mystery of this entertainer intact, the producer has submitted two different versions of the film to the Central Board of Film Certification. ## It is said that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has watched both versions and has passed the film with a U/A certificate. The exact intent of certifying two different versions of the film is kept under wraps for now, but the makers are planning to surprise the audience in a big way. ## Housefull 5 is a rare film with a CBFC certificate for two different versions. Mumbai, May 23 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is turning 2019's hit rom-com Luka Chuppi into a franchise and has put its sequel under development with a new leading cast, replacing Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon from the original movie. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Maddock has roped in Varun Dhawan and Sharvari Wagh to headline Luka Chuppi 2. Both actors have reportedly given their preliminary approval and are expected to formally sign on once the script is finalised in the coming months. ## The report further said that the sequel will be different from the original movie, with a supernatural twist in its comedic narrative. It will retain the humorous tone but will have an entirely different storyline from the first movie, which was centred on a couple navigating a live-in relationship complicated by the arrival of their traditional families. ## While the director's name is not revealed yet, Luka Chuppi 2 will reportedly be directed by one of the associates of Laxman Utekar who directed the first film. The upcoming film will mark Varun and Sharvari's first film together, although they both are part of Maddock's Horror Comedy universe. ## The shoot of Luka Chuppi 2 is expected to begin early next year after Varun and Sharvari wrap up their current commitments.
