Mumbai, April 16 - Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat has another decent hold on its first Wednesday as early estimates suggest collection in the range of 3.75-4.25 crores net, which is a drop of around 30% from Tuesday. ## The total collection of the film is around 57.50 crores net in 7 days, as the first 8-day extended week is heading for 60-61 crores, which is a good collection. It has already become Sunny Deol's third biggest grosser after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Gadar 2 in terms of net collection. ## The second weekend will be crucial for Jaat in its pursuit to enter the 100 crores club. There is Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2, which will be tough competition for the Sunny Doel-starrer in the second weekend. Kochi, April 16 - Superstar Mohanlal's crime suspense thriller Drishyam is one of the most popular franchises to come from Malayalam cinema, and it reached the next level with the remake versions, especially the Bollywood star Ajay Devgn-led Hindi remake. ## The second part of the original film was directly released on OTT in 2021, before the Hindi remake set the box office on fire in 2022 with around 350 crores gross worldwide. Ajay Devgn has confirmed that the work on Drishyam 3 will begin soon, but it might be in trouble, as per the latest report. ## Recently, Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph confirmed Drishyam 3, and now, according to the latest report by Mid-Day, the Malayalam makers are also targeting the Hindi audience with the upcoming film as it is already a popular franchise in North India due to the remake versions.## The report says that Mohanlal and Joseph are keen to make Drishyam 3 a bilingual offering to be released in Malayalam and Hindi to make it a proper pan-India outing. Mumbai, April 16 - The Farhan Akhtar's directorial action thriller Don 3 starring Ranveer Singh was back in the news recently for unwanted reasons when it was revealed that Kiara Advani backed out of playing the female lead due to her pregnancy. ## The news of Kiara leaving the film left the makers searching for another able actress to play the role, but it didn't take much time of makers to find the leading lady to star opposite Ranveer. According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, Akhtar has locked Munjya fame Sharvari Wagh to replace the outgoing actress. ## "Sharvari and one more actress were being considered, but the former has managed to bag the role. Chennai, April 16 - Superstar Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly has taken the box office by storm and is nearing 200 crores gross, which will make it only the second film of the actor to achieve the feat at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film has grossed approximately 180 crores worldwide in the first 6 days. It will enter the 200 crores club by the second Friday and will also become the highest-grossing film of Thala Ajith by beating Viswasam globally. ## Meanwhile, GBU has entered the 100 crores club at the Tamil Nadu box office, becoming the third movie of the Tamil superstar to do so after Viswasam (139 crores) and Thunivu (121+ crores). Mumbai, April 15 - After the good 5-day holiday period, Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat has witnessed a good hold on the make-or-break first Tuesday at the domestic box office, which has put it on course to emerge as a success. ## The movie has witnessed a drop of around 20% on the first Tuesday (day 6), which is well within the normal range after the holiday, as early estimates suggest collection to be in the range of 5.75-6.25 crores net collection. This has pushed the total around 53+ crores net in 6 days. ## Jaat is heading for an extended 8-day first week in the range of 60 crores, which is a good total. Mumbai, April 14 - Dharma Productions' much-anticipated biographical historical drama Kesari: Chapter 2 in association with Cape of Good Films and Leo Media Collective, is getting some solid on-ground buzz, which led makers to organise early screenings across 5 cities. ## Producer Karan Johar has been supremely confident about the movie, and the inside reports are also believed to be very good. Chennai, April 14 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar has scripted a solid comeback with the action comedy Good Bad Ugly after getting a big shock earlier this year in the form of action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, which bombed at the box office. ## Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the latest blockbuster has not only outgrossed Vidaamuyarchi's lifetime total (136 crores gross) but has also become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2025 by crossing Pradeep Ranganathan's Dragon (152 crores) in just less than 5 days. ## Good Bad Ugly had an excellent first 4-day weekday in which it grossed approximately 148.50 crores worldwide, including over 100 crores domestically, which includes around 84 crores of Tamil Nadu collection. Bengaluru, April 14 - The biggest blockbuster from the Kannada film industry KGF: Chapter 2 starring superstar Yash and directed by Prashanth Neel, was released on this day (April 14) three years ago, and the rest is history. ## The action drama set the box office on fire upon its release and went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of all time with a worldwide collection of over 1200 crores. It is miles ahead of the rest of the Kannada titles and an uphill task for the industry to achieve. ## Produced by Hombale Films, KGF: Chapter 2 is the second part of KGF (2018), but it wasn't the end of the series, as the makers promised the third part in the post-credit scene of part 2. Over the last 3 years, the makers have reiterated their commitment to bring the next chapter, and they have reconfirmed the same again on the third anniversary. ## On Monday, Hombale Films shared over a 2-minute-long trailer-type celebratory video featuring the blockbuster moments of KGF 2 and at the end of it, the studio has promised to come up with KGF: Chapter 3 soon. The film has witnessed a fantastic jump of around +40% and comfortably crossed the double-digit mark for the first time. ## According to early estimates, Jaat has scored in the range of 13.50-14.50 crores net collection on its first Sunday, pushing the extended 4-day weekend to around 40 crores net, which is a good total.
