Mumbai, August 5 - With just days remaining for its theatrical release, Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 has completed its censor formalities. The much-awaited sequel to the 2007 cult classic has been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing the final hurdle before hitting cinemas on August 14. According to the latest certification details, Awarapan 2 has been awarded a U/A 16+ certificate after the CBFC suggested a handful of minor modifications. The board reportedly asked the makers to tone down one violent sequence by 50%, remove three instances of extreme violence, and delete a scene featuring drug consumption. Following these changes, the film received its censor certificate on August 5.
