Dwayne Johnson Reportedly Returns To The 'Fast and Furious' Franchise

Los Angeles, May 13 - The Fast and Furious saga is one step closer to its end but it can't get done without one of the franchise's biggest assets, Dwayne Johnson. ## Dwayne Johnson, who last appeared in the Fast & Furious spin-off "Hobbs & Shaw" in 2019, previously told that he would never be making his comeback in the franchise, but it seems that has become a thing of the past as according to The Wrap, the Hollywood superstar is all set for one final ride in the franchise.## As per the report, Dwayne Johnson has returned to the "Fast and Furious" franchise, making an appearance in the post-credits sequence for the upcoming Fast X, which releases next week on May 19.## The return of The Rock may surprise many as he was adamant about not making a comeback to the blockbuster action series after having some issues with Vin Diesel, the star and producer of the franchise. Diesel, however, requested Johnson to put the issues aside and come back to the series, in an Instagram post in November 2021.## In another surprising news, there could be the 12th film in the franchise after Vin Diesel said that Universal Pictures has asked if "Fast X" could be turned into a trilogy. The Final 'Fast and Furious' Movie Confirmed To Release Worldwide In 2025

Los Angeles, April 26 - Vin Diesel-fronted 11th and the final film in Fast and Furious franchise will be released worldwide in 2025. The release date was announced at CinemaCon 2023 where it was confirmed that the second part of Fast X will hit screens two years from now on. ## Vin Diesel previously told in an interview that there are plans the release the final two "Fast and Furious" movies back-to-back with the target release date being 02/23 for the first one and 02/24 for the second one. However, the production for "Fast and Furious 11" is yet to begin. It will be directed by Fast X's Louis Leterrier, with Birds of Prey's Christina Hodson and Mortal Kombat's Oren Uziel penning the script.## Meanwhile, the next and penultimate installment in this blockbuster franchise, "Fast X", is scheduled to be released next month, on May 20. Box Office Projection For 'Fast and Furious 10' aka 'Fast X' Revealed

Mumbai, April 22 - The sequel to F9 and the eleventh full-length film in the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast X is gearing up for its release on May 19 this year. ## Directed by Louis Leterrier, "Fast X" serves as the penultimate main installment in the franchise as Dominic Toretto and his family are getting ready for the last hurray. Over the last two decades, "Fast & Furious" has left a huge mark on worldwide audiences with the high-octane adrenaline-pumping actioners. ## It has been one of the most successful Hollywood film franchises with over $6.6 billion worldwide box office across the previous 10 films. Domestically (North America), the franchise has generated $1.86 billion with "Furious 7" (2015) being the highest-grossing film with $353 million domestically and $1.51 billion worldwide. ## The last film in the series "F9: The Fast Saga" (2021) grossed $726 million worldwide, including $173 million domestically during the covid-19 pandemic. With a lot better environment than in 2021, Universal Pictures will be looking to score another $1 billion with "Fast X" and anything below would make them disappointed. ## Meanwhile, the early domestic box office projection for the upcoming movie has been revealed which are similar to the last film. According to Box Office Pro, it is tracking $65 million - $75 million in the domestic opening weekend. "F9" did open with $70 million and the was the biggest opening post-pandemic at that time. ## The agency is estimating "Fast X" to finish its domestic run between $146 million - $186 million. Vin Diesel Wants Robert Downey Jr. In The Next Fast and Furious Movie

Los Angeles, February 10 - Universal Pictures' action thriller "Fast & Furious" is one of the most loved movie franchises in the world. Director Justin Lin Quits 'Fast and Furious 10' Because Of Vin Diesel?

Los Angeles, May 2 - A few days ago, "Fast & Furious" director Justin Lin had walked out from the franchise's next installation, "Fast X", which has already commenced filming. While not giving reasons behind his decision, Lin announced that he will, however, remain involved with the project as a producer.## Now, according to nydailynews, Justin Lin quit as director of "Fast & Furious 10" because star Vin Diesel is so difficult. "Diesel shows up late to the set. He doesn't know his lines. And he shows up out of shape. No one is dissing Vin Diesel on the record, but everyone knows", the report said quoting a source. ## Production on "Fast 10" started on April 20, with franchise stars Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, and Charlize Theron returning, along with new cast members Brie Larson, Michael Rooker, Jason Momoa, and Daniela Melchior. ## Justin Lin directed five "Fast and Furious" movies, beginning with 2006's "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift". 'Aquaman' Star Jason Momoa To Fight Vin Diesel In 'Fast & Furious 10'

Los Angeles, January 29 - As "Fast and Furious 10" is gearing up to kick start the shoot soon, Vin Diesel looks to have found his counterpart with whom his Dominic Torreto will go head to head in the two-part finale of this high octane actioner.## According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Aquaman" star Jason Momoa, in the first major casting for "F10", is set to lock horns with Vin Diesel, his role, however, is not confirmed yet. The actor is reportedly in final negotiations to join the ensemble cast in what is being called "Fast & Furious 10" as a working title. ## While the plot details are yet to be known, the THR report says that Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sung Kang are expected to rejoin the team with Justin Lin returning to direct. Vin Diesel and Lin are producing the film while Universal Pictures working as a distributor. ## Meanwhile, Vin Diesel wanted Dwayne Johnson to join him in the finale of this highly popular action film franchise in the world. Johnson, who appeared in the fifth through eighth films, as well as spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, however, refused to make a comeback over his feud with Diesel.## "Fast & Furious 10" is currently slated for May 19, 2023, release. However, because the script is still a work in progress (according to THR), it is unclear whether Momoa's part is protagonistic or antagonistic in nature, or perhaps even both. Sony Pictures Pushed Jared Leto's 'Morbius' Release Date For 7th Time

Mumbai, January 4 - Jared Leto's vampire film "Morbius" is on the movie again after being delayed by 3 months by Sony Pictures. Previously slated for January 28, the Marvel movie will now debut in theaters on April 1st, 2022, in IMAX and premium large formats. ## This is 7th time Sony has pushed the "Morbius" release date since July 2020. The movie was originally slated for 10 July 2020, before being pushed back to 31st July over covid-19 fear. It was later announced for March 19, 2021, however, with covid cases on the rise again, it was decided for October 8, 2021, release.## While October 2021 was finally looking good for "Morbius", it had to make way for Sony's "Venom 2", which grabbed the October slot, and "Morbius" was pushed back to January 21 and then January 28, 2022. This time, things were looking all set for the superhero film, but dynamics have changed due to the Omicron variant of covid, which is said to be more infectious than the Delta. ## However, according to Deadline, the one factor motivating the push of "Morbius" was Sony's huge (continuing) success with Spider-Man: No Way Home, which established itself as the highest-grossing film of 2021 upon its December 17 debut. The Tom Holland-fronted is currently going strong at the box office and grossed $1.37 billion so far.
