Govil has become synonymous with the character of Lord Ram after playing the iconic role in Ramanand Sagar's 1987 TV show. ## Directed by Amit Rai and produced by Ashwin Varde and Akshay Kumar, "Oh My God 2" is the follow-up to the 2012 blockbuster film starring Akshay and Paresh Rawal in the leading roles. The sequel will feature Akshay reprising his role of Lord Krishna with Pankaj Tripathi stepping into the shoes of Paresh Rawal. The iconic trio remembered the good old days of "Sholay" which is considered a benchmark film in Indian cinema.## During the special episode, Sippy, who directed the iconic "Sholay" (1975) revealed that why he chose Hema Malini for the role of Basanti and how did he think about 'Jai-Veeru' played by Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra respectively. ## "See, Hema Ji in her first film with me had portrayed the role of a young widow and in the second film, 'Seeta Aur Geeta', she surprised us. So, for the role of 'Basanti', I felt that no one can do it apart from her", the filmmaker told Big B. ## "Also, there was one more thing. When we completed 'Seeta Aur Geeta' and it became successful, it is then when we decided whatever I make after this, Dharam Ji, Hema Ji, and Sanjeev Ji must be there. The actor has teamed up with producer Anand L Rai once again for a film based on the life of the legendary officer of the Gorkha regiment of the Indian Army, Major General Ian Cardozo. ## Akshay will portray Ian Cardozo, who was awarded Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (SVSM) and Sena Medal (SM) for his service to the Indian army. Maharashtra Government Releases SOPs For Cinema Theatres

Mumbai, October 12 - The government of Maharasthra recently announced that the cinema halls and theaters would be permitted to operate from October 22, for which, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) would be released soon. ## And now, on October 11, the wait is over for the Bollywood filmmakers as the government has released the SOPs which have cleared the road for Rohit Shetty's "Sooryavanshi" and other upcoming Bollywood biggies, which are lined up for release. ## As expected, the moviegoers will have to strictly adhere to the covid-19 guidelines such as practice social distancing, wear face masks and use sanitizers inside the theatre. The government has set a 50% occupancy cap in the cinema halls and also asked for stagger show timings so that crowding doesn't take at any point in the theatre.## The SOP has also mentioned that those who are fully vaccinated will have to show their Covid vaccination certificate. Fortunately, if one is partially or non-vaccinated, he/she can still enter the theatre, provided they show the 'safe' status on their Aarogya Setu app.## The staff of the cinema halls has been asked to check the temperature of the viewers and allow only asymptomatic individuals inside. The management of the theatres will have to sanitize the auditorium after every screening and also ensure regular and disinfection. The staff is also required to be fully vaccinated.## The government hasn't mentioned cut-off time for cinemas to operate in the SOPs which means that the night shows have been allowed.
