No Hindi Release For Thalapathy Vijay's 'The GOAT' In National Multiplex Chains

Hyderabad, September 3 - The much-awaited Tamil action thriller The Greatest of All Time has scored the record pre-release theatrical business for Thalapathy Vijay in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). ## Vijay's popularity has been soaring across the country, especially among the Telugu audience with each passing film which has been reflected in the theatrical business. According to the Telugu trade portals, Mythri Movie Makers has acquired the theatrical rights of the movie in AP/TG. ## The film's AP/TG theatrical business has been valued at 21 crores, including 12 crores for the Andhra region. 'Kanguva' Scores Record Post-Theatrical Streaming Deal For Suriya

Chennai, September 3 - One of the most-anticipated Pan Indian movies Kanguva has scored the record post-theatrical streaming deal for actor Suriya. The movie is directed by Siva and also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in prominent roles. ## According to Forum Reelz, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of Kanguva for all languages. 'Indian 2' Makers Lend In Legal Trouble Over The Film's OTT Release

Chennai, August 29 - Legendary Kamal Haasan and director Shankar reunited for the sequel to their 1997 Indian and released it on the big screen in July this year after years of production delays. Indian 2, produced by Lyca Production, however, failed to create any magic at the box office and ended up as a disaster.## After the no-show at the box office, Indian 2 premiered on the digital platform on August 12, 4 weeks after the theatrical release. Shockingly, the Hindi version of the movie also started streaming in less than 6 weeks after its release and this has put the makers in legal trouble. ## According to the report in Pinkvilla, the Multiplex Association of India has sent a legal notice to the team of Indian 2 for flouting the OTT rules. It is known to everyone that films released in Hindi will have to follow a strict 8-week OTT window, and the ones who don't obey the guidelines, won't get a release in the top 3 national multiplex chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis. ## The report suggests that the makers of Indian 2 had agreed to the guidelines to release the Hindi version, Hindustani 2 in multiplexes, which means, the dubbed version was supposed to be available on OTT on September 6 but MAI was shocked to know that it is already available on Netflix, much before the set window.## The Multiplex Association wants to give a stern message to all the producers to follow the 8-week window and in this process, the organization has sent a legal notice to the Indian 2 team. Chennai, August 13 - The much-anticipated trailer of Tamil star Suriya's fantasy action thriller film Kanguva was released on August 12 and it largely met with positive reception. Directed by Siva, the movie also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in prominent roles.## Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, the Kanguva trailer scored 19+ million views in the first 24 hours and it was the most-viewed video on YouTube in the world in the past 24 hours. Additionally, the trailer scored 700K+ likes during the same period.## The trailer of the movie was released in multiple languages in a single video on the Saregama Tamil YouTube channel. Chennai, August 10 - Tamil star Dhanush's action thriller Raayan continues its blockbuster run at the domestic and worldwide box office. Mumbai, August 8 - Thalapathy Vijay's highly-anticipated sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All-Time will be released by Zee Studios in North India. The movie is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment.## Zee Studio, one of the leading production and distribution studios in the country, announced on Thursday that it would release GOAT across North Indian states in all languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
