Hyderabad, July 4 - The Pan India blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, starring superstar Prabhas, is nearing 650 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office after the first week (7 days), surpassing the total collection of Prabhas' Salaar: Ceasefire to become his third biggest grosser. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic grossed around 31+ crores worldwide on its 7th day (first Wednesday) to take its worldwide cume to around 641 crores gross, including an estimated 468 crores gross in India and 173 crores overseas collection.## Kalki 2898 AD is within touching distance of Baahubali - The Beginning (650 crores) to become Prabhas' second biggest grosser after Baahubali 2. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' First Wednesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 3 - Kalki 2898 AD finishes the first week (7 days) with 150+ crores net collection in Hindi, making it the biggest of the year for an Indian film after the solid first Wednesday at the box office with a drop of under 20% from Tuesday. ## As per the early estimates, the Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic scored 11-12 crores net collection on its 7th day, dropping around 15% from yesterday which is a regular drop. Prabhas 'Salaar 2' Shoot To Begin On August 10

Hyderabad, July 3 - Pan India superstar Prabhas, currently basking on the mega box office success of Kalki 2898 AD, is set to start the sequel of last year's success Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel amid the rumours of it getting shelved. ## Salaar Part 1 was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023 and the makers planned to commence the shoot of Salar Part 2 sooner than later to complete the story. The movie was supposed to go on floors by June this year but now, it will roll out in August. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the 20% shoot of Salaar 2 is already completed and the makers will resume it on August 10 with a 15-day schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It is said that plans to resume the filming in June were delayed due to weather and date issues. ## Prashanth Neel, meanwhile also has Jr. NTR's Dragon and the report says that the filmmaker will juggle between the shoots of the two movies. Salaar 2 will be shot for over 8 months with Dragon in 2024 and 2025, starting from August this year. Hyderabad, July 3 - After another good day at the box office, director Nag Ashwin's mega-blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has topped 600 crores gross collection worldwide in just 6 days, becoming one of the fastest Indian movies to achieve the milestone. ## The Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted tentpole has been on a winning spree since day 1 and breaking records left, right, and centre. Hyderabad, July 2 - Kalki 2898 AD continues to score well at the Hindi box office after another solid hold on its first Tuesday. The movie is seeing a drop of around 20% from Monday which is a good hold as Monday was stronger than expected after the extended opening weekend. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial blockbuster, on its 6th day, scored an estimated 13-14+ crores net collection in Hindi. This takes its total to 141+ crores in the dubbed version as the first full week is heading for 160+ crores net. ## The weekday trend of Kalki 2898 AD is almost similar to RRR in Hindi and it will probably be heading towards a similar finish. Mumbai, October 9 - Maverick director SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion set the benchmark for not just Telugu cinema but also in the Hindi and rest of the versions. Mumbai, June 30 - All hell loose as Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD hits the ball out of the park on its first Sunday as the movie is showing a jump of around 40% in the dubbed Hindi version which is phenomenal as Saturday was itself huge with approximately 26 crores net collection. ## The collection on Saturday was affected by the final of the T20 World Cup to some extent but Sunday made up for the lost ground. Mumbai, June 28 - Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD heading for 90+ crores 4-day opening weekend in Hindi with an outside chance of touching 100 crores net after the perfect hold on its second day. The movie scored approximately 22.50 crores net its Thursday opening day. ## Kalki is witnessing a drop under 10% on its second day, Friday, for an estimated 21-22+ crores net which might be on the higher end, depending on hold in mass centres. The total collection of Hindi versions is 43.50+ crores net and with big Saturday and Sunday coming, it should clear 90 crores weekend. ## The growth on Saturday might not be a regular one for a well-received film due to the World Cup final between India and South Africa but it can be made up with bigger growth on Sunday. Word of mouth is positive, and Monday's hold could determine its longevity. Mumbai, June 28 - Pan India superstar Prabhas is set for another good ride at the Hindi box office after his sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD off to a superb start with approximately 22.50 crores net collection. The opening of the film is in the range of Hrithik Roshan's Fighter with a minor difference as the joint biggest of the year.## As has often been said in the last few years, Prabhas has emerged as the biggest superstar on the Pan India level and easily the biggest South India-origin star in the North. Despite his films not reaching the high end of the target, the actor has consistently delivered in Hindi, which the Bollywood stars have failed to do regularly. ## Since Baahubali (2015) which opened at 5.15 crores net in Hindi, Prabhas has done 6 movies, including Baahubali 2 and except for Radhe Shyam and Salaar, all the movies have taken an opening of 20+ crores net in the dubbed Hindi version. Radhe Shyam was a major misfire with just 4.80 crores net opening, largely due to the COVID-19 effect. Salaar did open well at around 16 crores net to lead a strong finish of over 150 crores net.## Baahubali 2 remains the biggest opener for Mirchi star in Hindi with 41 crores net, followed by Adipurush with 37.25 crores opening. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Scored Third Biggest Opening For Indian Film Worldwide

Hyderabad, June 28 - Director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has had a sensational opening day at the domestic box office, clearing 100 crores gross mark and was equally strong overseas to put the movie among the top three biggest Indian openers of all-time. ## In India, the Prabhas-starrer blockbuster grossed approximately 114 crores in all versions. There were expectations of the movie scoring much more but the mass centres in Telugu states didn't show up as expected which kept the movie a little below the projected mark but big enough to set the tone for a massive opening weekend. ## In terms of language-wise gross collection, the original Telugu version scored approximately 78.50 crores, followed by the Hindi version with approximately 27 crores, and the rest of the languages grossed around 8.50 crores. The Telugu version faired below expectations but it is expected to maintain a solid hold over the weekend.## Overseas, Kalki 2898 AD grossed an estimated 61 crores on opening day, for a worldwide 175 crores start which is the third biggest ever for an Indian movie behind RRR (223 crores) and Baahubali 2 (217 crores). Mumbai, June 27 - Kalki 2898 AD is off to a flying start a the Indian box office and is flirting with a potential 95 crores net collection in all languages. It has easily taken the biggest opening of the year and the biggest since KGF 2 by a long margin. ## Starring Prabhas in the lead role, the sci-fi epic is estimated to gross 65-70 crores in Telugu states, followed by 26-28 crores in North India. In Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, the movie is expected to gross an estimated 18-20 crores, for 110-115 crores (95 crores net) in all versions. ## The Hindi version of the movie is eyeing the biggest opening of the year beating Fighter. The Hrithik Roshan-starrer is currently the biggest Hindi opener of the year with 22.50 crores net and Kalki is looking to score an estimated 22-23 crores net collection. ## The initial word of mouth seems to be positive which should help the movie to consolidate the collection over the weekend.
