Blockbuster 'Baahubali - The Beginning' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection
Hyderabad, July 10 - SS Rajamouli's epic action drama Baahubali - The Beginning has turned 9 years old today. It was the movie which led the foundation stone of the highest-grossing Indian title in the form of its sequel Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion and paved the way for Southern Indian film industries to break the boundary barrier before BB2 took the momentum to next level.

Starring Prabhas in the title role, Baahubali didn't have a smooth victory as it was panned by critics and the fear of failure loomed large. Mind you, had Baahubali failed, there might not be Baahubali 2 as the biggest Indian grosser and there might not be Prabhas as the biggest Pan India star, but destiny and audience had other plans.

Baahubali overcame the mixed reviews and went on to become the first South Indian film to breach the 500 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office. Apart from the film's success in the original Telugu language, it was the success of the Hindi version which not only made a large contribution to Baahubali's overall revenue but also became the main target of the Pan-Indian films going forward.

Baahubali was the first South Indian film to breach the 100 crores net mark in Hindi and since then, 9 more films have joined this prestigious box office club. The movie reportedly generated around 5 crore footfalls in all versions, including approximately 1.48 crores in Hindi alone and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of the 21st century.

India Gross Collection - 516.00 Cr. (estimated)
Hindi Gross - 165.00 Cr. approx.
Overseas Collection - 134.00 Cr. (estimated)
Worldwide Collection - 650.00 Cr.
Footfalls/Admissions - 4.90 crores approx. in all languages (1.48 crores in Hindi)
Box Office Verdict - Blockbuster
