The Kerala Story Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 14 - After scoring the biggest single day of its box office run yesterday, The Kerala Story exploded further on its second Sunday to register its biggest day so far.## As per the early estimates, the blockbuster movie scored an estimated 23 crores net collection, including around 50 lacs in the dubbed Telugu version. There is a possibility for the Hindi version to hit 23 crores net today which remains to see. ## The total collection of The Kerala Story has reached around 136 crores net in just 10 days, and it will cross "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" by tomorrow or Tuesday to become the second biggest Bollywood movie of the year. TKS is heading for a lifetime finish of over 200 crores net. ## While TKS is performing exceptionally well, Vidyut Jammwal's IB 71 has put in a decent opening weekend total by scoring around 7.50 crores net, after an estimated 3.20 crores net on Sunday. Despite not having a huge buzz, the spy thriller has done well to find its footing in the TKS wave. ## "IB71" will look to finish around 25 crores net which will be a decent result for it as the budget of the movie is not huge. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani Gives A Major Update On Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don 3'

Mumbai, May 14 - The third installment of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Don has been in the making for a long time but it kept getting delayed. And just when fans' hope started getting shattered, producer Ritesh Sidhwani provides a major update on Don 3. ## During a recent interview, Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that Farhan Akhtar is in the phase of completing the script soon and once it gets locked, the makers will take the next step. The co-partner with Farhan Akhtar at Excel Entertainment, Ritesh further said that the team is excited and waiting to see Don on the big screen soon. ## The first "Don" movie was released in 2006, followed by the second installment in 2011 with SRK and Priyanka Chopra among others reprising their roles. The first part is the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1978 film of the same name as Excel Entertainment bought the rights. ## Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki" which is slated to release on Christmas this year (as of now). Mumbai, May 13 - The blockbuster hit The Kerala Story stormed into the 100 crores net club in some style by recording the biggest single-day collection of its box office run so far. ## After scoring an excellent second Friday, the drama film went into beast mode and scored an estimated 19+ crores net collection on its second Saturday. The movie has shot at hitting 20 crores net depending on where the night shows finish. ## The second Saturday collection of the movie takes total domestic cume to around 112 crores in just 9 days, making it the 4th Bollywood movie of the year to enter the 100 crore club. With this, The Kerala Story also crossed Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan's domestic total of around 110 crores net.## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story is showing the same trend as Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files on a day-wise basis. Mumbai, May 12 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar hasn't had much success in the last couple of years, and now, the hopes are pinned on his upcoming films which promise to show his versatility as an actor. ## Before the covid-19 pandemic, Akshay delivered back-to-back hits by portraying real-life characters, and one of his upcoming films falls in a similar genre. It is known to everyone that the Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood is doing the biopic of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, a former additional chief mining engineer.## Gill is renowned for his remarkable rescue operation in 1989, where he saved the lives of 65 workers trapped in a flooded coal mine in Raniganj, West Bengal. It has been reported that the movie was titled "Capsule Gill", however, the makers never confirmed the same and have been keeping mum about it.## Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, the movie has been titled The Great Indian Rescue. "The makers feel that it does justice to the plot of the film. Also, they believe that title mein dum hai. Mumbai, May 12 - Superstar Salman Khan's family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has completed 3 weeks with an underwhelming box office collection. ## Though the movie still has performed way better than most of the Bollywood films post the covid-19 pandemic those numbers don't justify the stardom of Salman. At the end of the 3rd week, KKBKKJ grossed around 183 crores worldwide, including 130+ crores domestically and over 52 crores overseas.## The film, directed by Farhad Samji, at once looked like a sure shot 200+ crores worldwide grosser but after the Eid opening weekend, it tanked badly and couldn't rise after that. The movie is likely to gross another 1 crore more to around 184 crores finish which is below average number for a Salman Khan film.## Irrespective of where the film finishes at the box office from hereon, KKBKKJ is already the 3rd highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year, after "Pathaan" and "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar". Mumbai, May 11 - The blockbuster controversial film The Kerala Story completes its first full week at the box office with flying colors, scoring close to 80 crores net collection. ## After the excellent first six days, TKS remains in the same line and scored an estimated 11-12 crores net, pushing the total net collection to around 80 crores. It may also finish above 80 crores which remains to see. ## The Kerala Story will cross the 100 crore net mark by its second Saturday and will become the fourth Bollywood movie of the year to reach this milestone. For a movie that was made on a low budget, this is an excellent box office return and it is not going to stop anytime soon.## There are a few films releasing this weekend in the form of "IB 71" and "Chatrapathi", among others, but TKS is expected to remain the first choice. After winning appreciation in "Goodbye" and "Mission Majnu", Rashmika now seems to be in a hurry to sign multiple Bollywood films. ## The actress is already in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Animal" opposite Ranbir Kapoor and also reportedly signed Dinesh Vijan's historical drama "Chhava" with Vicky Kaushal playing the lead. And now, according to the latest reports, the 27-year-old grabs director Anees Bazmee's next. ## It has been reported that Anees Bazmee would be teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for an action comedy film and the latest reports say that Rashmika has joined the cast as the female lead. The yet-untitled movie will be produced by Dil Raju and Ekta Kapoor with whom Rashmika previously worked on "Goodbye" and "Varisu". ## The movie will reportedly feature Shahid Kapoor in a double role for the first time in his career. It is an action comedy entertainer with a quirky storyline. The rest of the cast is being finalized and will be announced soon. ## The shoot of the film is expected to begin in August this year after Shahid completes Rosshan Andrrews' investigative thriller, which is the remake of the Malayalam movie "Mumbai Police" for Roy Kapur Films. Mumbai, May 10 - The Kerala Story continues to go up at the box office as the movie sees another good jump in collection on its first Wednesday. ## On its first Wednesday, the movie scores a growth of around 10% over Tuesday's collection for an estimated 12 crores net. This is the second back-to-back jump in the collection of the film despite the working days and takes the total net collection to around 69 crores in 6 days. ## The full opening week collection of The Kerala Story is now expected to be around 80+ crores net and then, it will breach the 100 crores net mark, mostly on its second Saturday.## The film showing a jump during weekdays despite the fact that it is facing difficulties in getting a proper release in a few states shows that TKS has become a rage, just like Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" last year.
