Mumbai, January 14 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's spy action thriller Pathaan is less than two weeks away from its much-awaited worldwide release. The movie marks SRK's return to the big screen after more than four years so there is genuine excitement among moviegoers. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" is scheduled to release on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages also in IMAX. While the advance booking for the movie is expected to open in the next couple of days in India, Yash Raj Films has already commenced advances in key international markets and the response so far is pretty impressive. ## The pre-sales of "Pathaan" in North America have crossed $510K (4.14 crores*). In Germany, the pre-booking for the movie has crossed €170K (1.50 crores*) while in Australia, it is approx. A$260K (1.45 crores). Mumbai, January 12 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has had an underwhelming 2022 year on the work front. The actor had multiple releases last year but none of them could become hits at the box office as all his films finished below the 100 crores mark domestically. ## Apart from the theatrical releases, Akshay also had a digital release in the form of the crime thriller Cuttputli and it has good success. A remake of the 2018 Tamil film "Ratsasan", "Cuttputli" is directed by Ranjit M. Tewari and produced by Pooja Entertainment. ## "Cuttputli" was the most-watched original Hindi film on Digital Platforms, according to Ormax Media. It was released on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 2 and scored 26.9 million views. Yami Gautam's "A Thursday" was the second most-watched film with 25.5 million views. It was also released on Disney+Hotstar. ## Disney Plus Hotstar was the biggest gainer from the Hindi film industry with 3 of its original movies crossing 24 million views each as "Govinda Naam Mera" scored 24.4 million views, per Ormax. Disney+ Hotstar (7 films), Prime Video & Netflix (4 films each) share the top 15 spots between them. ## The viewership data by Ormax Media has been collected through a methodology that consists of the number of people who watched the show (at least one full episode) or film (at least 30 mins). Mumbai, January 12 - Promising Bollywood actor, Kartik Aaryan took a giant step in the commercial cinema with the mega success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to cult horror-comedy "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" (2007). The movie grossed over 260 crores worldwide and was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022. ## Anees Bazmee directed this successful sequel, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, and now, the makers are working on its 3rd installment for the past few months. T-Series-head Bhushan Kumar, in an interview with Pinkvilla, provides a big update on BB3. ## "We are definitely making Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan", the producer confirmed the development.## "We are right in the process of figuring out the gap that we need between part 2 and part 3. The expectations are sky-high and we are now thinking on how to take the franchise forward. At the moment, we are jamming on the script. All the stakeholders are clear – the idea of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 needs to be big and unique".## Explaining his thought process further, Bhushan Kumar added, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa is an established franchise now, and there will be anticipation around it. Drishyam 2 was a unique idea and in the same way, we are on the lookout for a unique idea. Once we get that, we will move ahead".## The filmmaker further said that they are working on the aspects to take the movie on floors by 2024 and release it in the grand way in 2025. Before BB3, Kartik will reunite with Bhushan Kumar for the highly-anticipated musical romantic film "Aashiqui 3" which will go on floors by the end of this year and will release in 2024.## The duo of Kartik and Bhushan also team up for action drama "Shehzada" which is scheduled to release on February 10 this year. It has so far grossed approx. 342 crores worldwide in 54 days, surpassing "The Kashmir Files'" 341 crores gross. At the domestic box office, "Drishyam 2" has grossed a little over approx. 282 crores while overseas it minted approx. 59.50 crores. ## "Drishyam 2" is now only behind Ayan Mukerji's "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva" which made over 430 crores worldwide. Domestically, "Drishyam 2" is still lagging behind "The Kashmir Files" which scored 295 crores gross.
